I’ll Become the Tyrant’s Tutor - Chapter 31
──────⊱◈◈◈⊰──────
Prim just realized the important details in the novel. According to the novel, Reynsis was only able to see colours after he found his fated ‘Beauty’, but he did not fall in love at first sight.
So, Reynsis’ pain may be because of the one-sided love.6
In other words, Prim’s work is still not done yet.
Her eyes filled with grief.
Reynsis on the other hand, liked it very much. He thought that Prim would never leave him, if his situation was like this.
Reynsis placed his hands on top of hers. At the sudden cold touch, Prim looked at their intertwined hands as she glanced back up at him.
“My eyes feel better if we stay like this.” (Reynsis)6
“…Like this?” (Prim)
“Yes.” (Reynsis)
Reynsis nodded confidently as he stared at her obsidian eyes. His cold fingers still firmly held her small hands.
‘Why does your condition get better if you touch me?’ Prim pondered. Maybe this was the price that she had to pay because of her interference with the world in the original novel.
It was her who advanced and intervened with the future. Prim wanted to ease Reynsis’s pain, and he knew it too well.
With her sad expression, Reynsis spoke in a soothing voice.
“Hey, it’s okay. You can find her for me.” (Reynsis)
“…….” (Prim)
“And you will stay by my side until then, right?” (Reynsis)1
“….Of course.” (Prim)
Her answer was late, but that alone was enough to satisfy him. Her eyes were honest as always.
Reynsis finally smiled brightly. It was a clear and beautiful smile.
It was the time for them to be comfortable with each other.
“I can hear you from the outside. Is there something wrong?”
A knight’s voice was calling them from the outside. He heard there were two people talking inside.
Prim hesitated to answer the voice. The knights were guarding the door to kill the Prince.
She was scrambling quickly to think of how to resolve and explain the whole situation.
[ Bang! ]
The door suddenly burst open. The Knight of the Order Justice rushed inside the room.
Disregarding royal etiquette, the knights followed the Emperor’s command, and charged into the Prince’s room without permission; swords drawn ready to attack
“What’s going on?!” (Knights)
Prim tried to clench her fist. Their naturally intertwined hands suddenly squeezed together.
“……” (Prim & Reyn)
An eerie smile crept around the 8th Prince’s mouth.1
Their interruption ruined his moment together.
Reynsis turned his eyes to the knights. It was chilly and cold to those who felt his gaze.
“What was so urgent you had to barge into my private chambers?” (Reynsis)
Haddad, who was at the center of the knight bowed to the Prince and spoke on their behalf.
“I came here under His Majesty’s commands, Your Highness. I —” (Haddad)
“In what order did he command you?” (Reynsis)
Reynsis cutted his words harshly. Haddad was suddenly speechless but soon regained his composure.
“The orders are to confirm your safety, Your Highness.” (Haddad)
“Oh?…You would confirm my safety with swords?” (Reynsis)
“……” (Haddad)
Reynsis said after he took a quick glance at the swords in their hands.
Haddad who was still bowing his head, straightened his posture and looked up at the Prince.
He confirmed it for himself, the swords would be useless if they had swung them in front of the 8th Prince right now.
The Prince was in a better condition. He did not become a dreadful person like the prophecy stated. Also, the painter beside him was not injured.
Moreover, his eyes turned into the original blue eyes as one of the official traits in the Imperial family.
‘What happened?’
“My apologies, we were only worried for your safety, Your Highness.” (Haddad)
Haddad changed his tone. Reynsis, who knew about his original intentions, smiled brightly.
“Yes, thank you very much for all of your concern. Tell His Majesty that I will gladly show my heartfelt appreciation by paying him a visit later.” (Reynsis)
Everyone in that room felt the sarcasm in his voice.
“…. Very well, Your Highness. I will report today’s incident to His Majesty. Please excuse us. ” (Haddad)
Haddad placed his hand over his chest and bowed his head as courtesy towards the royal prince. He took a quick glance at the couple before leaving the room with other knights.
‘Entangled hands’. It was obvious that they both have a deep relationship with each other.
Haddad chuckled silently after exiting the room.
‘As expected.’
There is no such thing as eternal love.
‘It was love that changed easily.’
He might have devoted his body to her.
“…Silly, sweet love.”
Haddad murmured silently.1
Fortunately, the knights didn’t catch up to him.

The knights and the Royal Advisor left Belles Palace without shedding a drop of blood on their hands. The residents at the castle who saw this, were shocked.
‘That means,…Reynsis was fully healed?!’
“Seriously, what happened? Can he really see colours?” (Marianne)
Marianne asked hastily after rushing in the room.
Prim really thought about how to explain the whole situation to her.
‘Do you know <Beauty and the Beast>?’ I don’t know how to start but, ‘If you meet your destiny, your curse will be lifted?’
The point was, she never wanted Marianne to make fun of her words for how impossible it sounded.
“Well…”
Prim just laughed awkwardly. It was obvious that it’s a forced laugh.
Marianne narrowed her eyes as if she was examining Prim as she approached closer. Prim staggered back with that sudden intrusion into her personal space.
Of course, Prim remained silent and nervously feinted ignorance to the Prince’s condition.
But Marianne decided to shrug it off. Nevertheless, she was proud of the Prince, who will never grow up as the prophecy foretold.
“Fine, I don’t really care about how he was healed. The important point is, His Highness is already better. And it is good for you too, Prim. Isn’t that great?” (Marianne)
“Me?” (Prim)
Puzzled, Prim pointed at herself. Seeing her confused like that made Marianne excited with the news.
“The reason is obviously because the Emperor will grant you a prize. It is all thanks to you that the Prince regained his vision and I already witnessed that you worked really hard during your time tutoring here.” (Marianne smiled)
“…….” (Prim)
Marianne patted her back as she thought that the young woman had suffered so much.
“My my, look at the time! I shouldn’t be doing this right now.”
Marriane made a fuss about everything that she had to prepare. She didn’t bother to say goodbye and disappeared quickly.
Prim watched her zoom out of sight and sighed heavily.
Perhaps if she went to the Imperial Palace again, she would be obligated to have an audience with the Emperor.
‘If the Emperor asked me about the sudden change with Prince Reynsis, what should I say? Would he believe that she didn’t even know anything?’
“He’s not going to accuse me as being ‘The Man of Prophecy’ like Prince Daphs, right?”
Prim glanced at her wrist and had a sudden flashback at when Daphs gripped her firmly. Anxiously thinking about what to do as she stepped into Reynsis’s room.
“Prim.” (Reynsis)
Reynsis’s face brightened up as if he was waiting for her to come.
He was like a dog, wagging his invisible tail excitedly waiting for it’s owner to return.2
“How are you?” (Prim)
Reynsis reached out his hands without uttering a single word. Prim was a bit hesitant to hold that hand, but eventually she did. His cold touch engulfed hers as their hands intertwined together.2
Prim asked with a worried tone.
“Did your eyes hurt again?” (Prim)
“Yes.” (Reynsis)3
“Goodness, this is a troublesome problem…” (Prim)
“Yes. This is a good problem.” (Reynsis)
“Pardon?” (Prim)
“Nothing. I accidentally bit my tongue.” (Reynsis)
Their conversation flowed strangely. In addition, Reynsis seems to become more otherworldly and extremely… intimate. 2
‘Silly! What am I thinking?’
She was surprised with her own thoughts. Her thoughts weren’t matched with the tricky Reynsis. But,…
“Haha, that’s no good.” (Prim)
Seeing his smile, Prim couldn’t think of anything again. Reynsis had already started to open up to her.
Colours and open minded.
‘If he was already paired with ‘The Beauty’, everything would be perfect.’
When Prim suddenly thought about that, his blue eyes stared at her intently.
Unknowingly, while Prim was still holding his hand, she had raised her other hand to caress his face. She gently placed her palm near his temple and stroked the area around his stunning blue eyes. Reynsis was a bit flustered with her sudden touch.
“…Why?” (Reynsis)
“It’s pretty.” (Prim)
“Really?” (Reynsis)
“Yes. It’s like an ocean.” (Prim)
Prim nearly choked after realizing what she said. Reynsis has never seen the blue ocean because of his condition and to the fact that he was confined in the Belles Palace since his childhood.
She thought it was impudent of her to say that, but Reynsis spoke gently.
“…Your eyes.” (Reynsis)
“Yes?” (Prim)
“Is it originally black?” (Reynsis)
Reynsis stared at her eyes deeply. Come to think of it, their faces were so close that they could only see eachother at eye level. Prim leaned backwards and said,
“Yes, they are originally black.” (Prim)
“That’s a good thing.” (Reynsis)
Prim snorted. ‘What’s so good about having black eyes?’
Reynsis smiled when he saw her confused face filled with question marks.
“At least I have seen the right colour in your eyes.” (Reynsis)9
***
Haddad bowed politely before leaving the Emperor’s room.
The Emperor swept his hand over his beard with a dark face. He was a bit disappointed with the news from Belles Palace.
“Reynsis’s eyes are already better…”
His mind floated back to the incident a few days ago. He clearly saw those empty black eyes.
The most important aspect of Reynsis’s beautiful face had to be his eyes. The value of beauty depends on the original colour of his eyes.1
Reynsis’s face is like a beautiful sculpture, but there is one fatal flaw.
Those hazy, grey eyes.
The Emperor disliked grey, as if it was like a dull soulless colour. The colour was like a scar to that beautiful face as if the face was broken.
However the order of knights under his command returned and reported that the 8th Prince condition was better. Previously, before the incident at the banquet, he could even see colours.
“How on earth?”
He gripped the handle of his majestic chair.
‘Was the prophecy wrong then?’
The man who left the rose was a crazy man after all, right?
His eyes suddenly deepened.
He recalled the woman next to Reynsis after the Prince collapsed.
She was the only one who applied for the position to be Reynsis’s tutor even though everyone avoided the position.
That flaming red hair, boasted that she can fix his eyes better than anyone else.
“Is that the woman?”
He recalled her face when Daphs argued about her eyes’ colour and when Reynsis excused himself to calm her down.
It doesn’t make sense. She was an unknown painter from a far unknown country. Are they meaning to say that she was responsible for such a big achievement?
Besides, there was no other reason that she would break the curse if she is ‘the Man of Prophecy’.
Her eyes are black as the night sky. It was clear and transparent that there were no traces of purple jewelled colour hiding in her pupils.
“But what if…”
“She changed her eye colour?”
The Emperor started to calculate the possibility that the ‘Man of Prophecy‘ and the tutor might be the same person.
“If it’s true, I can sort this out accordingly.”
Then, those purple jewelled eyes will be in his possession. He laughed menacingly.5
Alas, more beautiful objects increased in his collection. It was undeniably satisfying.
The Emperor lifted up the glass next to him and took a sip of the wine. The liquid that had left untouched flowed down to the mouth.
It was red as blood.
