I’ll Just Live On As A Villainess - Chapter 1
One day, I woke up and became a different person.
I don’t want to elucidate how absurd I was in this ridiculous situation.
No one was curious on how I feel anyway.
‘To put it simply, I became Yvesria Oberon.’1
Yvesria Oberon.
She was just a common villain in the novel .4
This means that she is not a real person, but a fictional character who only exists in a book.
I can’t believe I’ve become someone else, and it was absurd that it was a human being who only existed in paper.1
I thought at this moment.
What’s wrong with my life?11
The novel was a romance novel about Catherine, the only daughter of the baron family which was poor but a warm family. She captivated the hearts of men all over the kingdom by her unique bright appearance.30
Prince Cassian, who later becames the king and became the ruler of the kingdom.
The first prince, Liddon Zerrette who was forced to step down on the throne.3
El, the commander of the Royal Knights, who is known as the best knight on the continent.10
Mason, a genius scholar who came from being a commoner and ascended to the position of Chancellor.
Luke, the head of the information guild who rolled on the shadows.
Catherine takes a great care of the huge fishing ground with the love of these men, then marries the prince, who became the king, just like in any ordinary romance novels.17
The four other men who loved Catherine step back and wished for her happiness in a humble way.26
No, what a beautiful world this is?
The world was designed for the happiness of the heroine Catherine.
In this world, “Yvesria Oberon” was the duke’s daughter and the fiancee of the Crown Prince, who was jealous of Catherine and try to harm her.23
At first, it was a minor bullying.
Spreading bad rumours from behind, spilling wine on Catherine at a dance party, and making fun of her in front of everybody.2
But as Catherine becomes increasingly the center of the kingdom, the bullying of Yvesria becomes worse and eventually plans to kill her.
Of course, the plan doesn’t suceed.
The head of the information guild was Catherine’s fish.
‘And the Duke’s daughter’s plan was clumsy. She knew nothing.’
I wasn’t particularly surprised. Isn’t that how all bad guys plan are?5
‘It’s the virtue of the villain that their plan always fail no matter what.’2
Yvesria, just like any typical villain, fails to do a good job and was caught before it even started.
The subsequent repercussions were turned on compared to her clumsy operation.
The trivial bullying was overshadowed by the duke’s power, but the attempted murder was a very sensitive case.
It was worse because her opponent was Catherine, who received the affection of the people of the kingdom.6
Even the mighty Duke of Oberon could not protect his daughter when the five men in Catherine’s fishing grounds joined forces to drive Yvesria down.15
In the wake of the incident, Yvesria is dismissed by the prince as his fiancee and expelled from society for good.1
Before then, Yvesria was living a shining life as the youngest daughter of the duke, and the crown prince’s fiancée.
‘Perhaps she believed that fancy life would last forever.’
But there has been an unexpected downfall. Of course Yvesria didn’t accept the reality.
In the end, after being lost for long, she suicided. That was the end of the villain, Yvesria Oberon.8
But.
‘I don’t have to be like that, do I?’
I am not Yvesria.
No, Yvesria is Yvesria, and all the past deeds she did were not mine anyway.
If someone died because of her, I might have felt guilty for taking this body.
But Catherine was happy, and isn’t the world revolves around her?1
There was no reason for me to feel guilty and make a fuss about correcting her past deeds.
No matter how I live, Catherine will be happy.
No matter what Yvesria did, it was set from the beginning that the heroine Catherine would take people’s affection.
The real Yvesria didn’t know that, and eventually ended her life unhappily. But I knew I didn’t have to live like that.
Who cares if I’m a villain or not?
Yvesria was the daughter of the Duke, so I could live in luxury even if I was stuck in the house for the rest of my life.1
Does I need more than that?1
Just because the mere absence of affection from the people to me in the novel does not mean will make ‘my life’ unhappy.
So I came to this conclusion.
I’m not going to feel miserable. I will live my own life.6
“I’m disappointed, Yvesria. I thought you were a sensible and thoughtful woman. Murder… I didn’t know you’d do such a terrible thing.”
Why should I care about such idiots from Catherine’s fishing grounds?
“Do you think this is acceptable as a member of a Duke’s family, who should set as an example to others and the woman who will be the queen someday?”
Catherine was not dead, and my crime was not murder, but attempted murder.
“Not murder, attempted murder.”2
I got tired and sighed to correct the fish’ words.
‘This is the last fifth.’
First the Prince, then the Knight Commander, then the Genius Scholar, then the Head of the Information Guild…
The fish had come to me in turn, as if they had some sort of promise, and they had poured out all kinds of curses and sarcasms, and now the male lead of , the prince, appeared in a splendid way.
‘The final boss is coming.’
In other words, if I handled this fish, there was no one to bother me anymore.
“You’re going to kill her anyway.”
“Yes, I’m sorry I did that.”1
I laughed neatly and spoke ahead of him.
“In reflection, I will not appear in the society anymore. Of course you want to break up my engagement with me. Am I right? I’ll approve on that, okay?”
The fish, or Prince Cassian, who had been babbling like a bird in my declaration, shut up.1
He looked completely speechless, perhaps not expecting this from Yvesria’s mouth.
“Why? Didn’t you come here for that? I’ll do whatever you want. Let’s call off the marriage.”
I had no reason to waste time on breaking up a marriage that would have been cancelled anyway.
The original Yvesria clings to Cassian in a tremendous shock and was crying, but not me.
‘From now on, I’m going to change it to another route.’
I don’t want to be a skanky woman who’s trying to make things right that I didn’t do.
My goal was to play a villain who accepted the whole situation and left coolly.3
“Well, you’ve done your business, haven’t you? Then go now. Stay out of my way.”

However, there was no fish that blocked my front. At this rate, the days were numbered.
“Okay, I’ll just go, then.”
It’s not just the road ahead.
I shrugged my shoulders and turned around, the view was very refreshing.
