I’ll Just Live On As A Villainess - Chapter 10
Cassian’s asked with his eyes wide open. I casually shook my head.
“No, I was still sitting here. Did you see? I’m just here.”
Every word was right, from the beginning to end.
‘It’s Harry who hit you, it’s not me.’
I said confidently and shrug my shoulders.
“How can a weak woman like me throw away a man as strong as you?”
Yvesria was tall, but she was thin.
It was obvious that I don’t have the power to throw an adult man on the floor.
“Yes. I suppose so. It’s just that… …someone grabbed my head.
Cassian touched the back of his head as if he was confused.
He was apparently caught and thrown at the head, but he had no idea what happened.
“…Excuse me, let’s go back to what we were talking about.”3
He soon recovered from the confusion and rose from his seat. He cleared his throat a couple of times, embarrassed by his own self.
“You always begged me to hold your hand, hold you, and kiss you. I can give you that. It’s not a bad condition. It’s all the things you wanted so badly, isn’t it?”
Despite the funny suggestion, Cassian was relaxed.
‘Yvesria’s affection for Cassian was just as great.’
Taking Yvesria’s one-sided and desperate love as a pretext, he was acting as if he had the upper hand even at this moment when he had to beg for help.
He’s free to assume I still like him, but I’m afraid you can’t pull myself like this again.
‘It’s also annoying for him to be so smug and snobbish that he have the upper hand.’
It was necessary to make sure that the situation changed.
“Your Highness.”
I called Cassian with a smile.
“Did you think I’d be happy with the offer?”
“Isn’t that a good deal for you? You used to ask for a kiss in exchange for doing me a favor.”
‘Did you, Yvesria!’
My smiling face cracked.
In the novel, Yvesria’s story didn’t unravel much.
She always appeared in only cases that tormented Catherine, so I didn’t even know there was such a behind-the-scenes story.
‘But this is an important case. Shouldn’t it have been shown in the novel?’
I was so angry and quickly realized.
It is quite an important event for me now, but it was only a bad story for the writer or reader.
The most important thing in the novel is the story of the main character after all.
There was a set amount parts, and in order to complete the whole story, one had to effectively strike off the side branches away from the center.
Yvesria’s tale of insanity, so to speak, was such a side story.
‘Yes, I knew it from the beginning. It’s a side story’
Now I can see the reason why Cassian was so proud when he made such a ridiculous proposal.
He has made a similar deal before, so he talked about it with pride.
‘ But that’s when it happened.’
Isn’t it weird to think that things are the same now?
When you cheated on her and broke up?
I couldn’t imagine how much stupid Yvesria was, to hung on this man.
During her engagement, Yvesria was always worried about getting the affection of this man even though she was giving a great strength to the succession of the crown prince.
I looked at the leisurely face of Cassian and drew my tongue inwardly.
There is no sense of understanding the situation, no eye to see people.
Goodness to appreciate affection for oneself?
Of course it was not.
That’s the king of the future.
The male hero of the novel.
‘Is the future of this country okay? Is this novel all right? ‘3
“Eve.”
Cassian called me, I expressed my deepest condolences to the people of the kingdom and the readers of the novel.
“In the first place, our engagement was a deal. I’ll be your husband, and you’ll give me strength. It’s similar to that. It’s just something else I can give you has changed.”
“I see.”
“Yes, you mean…”
“I refuse.”
“What?”
“I reject it, that deal.”
“How come?”
“Because the price is not so attractive to me?”1
Cassian’s face stiffened.
He didn’t think I’d turn down the deal.
He looked me in the eye and laughed as if he knew what was going on.
“You’ve improved your trading skills. Do you want something else? Do you want to be in the government?”
“No.”
“Then you still want to be my wife. I told you I couldn’t give you that.”
“That’s great. I don’t want it either.”4
” …I don’t understand. So what do you want in the end?”
“It’s simple. Your Highness turned back, and walked forward steadily to the royal capital as it is. And you will not see me forever! Wow, it’s not difficult, isn’t it?”
I spoke in a kind and friendly way, as if I were teaching a kindergarden.
No, it may not have been, but I did my best to do so.
If he doesn’t understand me even though I’ve said it so easily and kindly, he’s a moron.
“Just go back? You’re not going to make a deal?”
“Wow. You finally know my meaning.”
‘Fortunately he was not a moron.’
I smiled and wave in joy.
“Then would you please do what I say? Turn around and walk until to the royal capital.”
However, Cassian didn’t budge from his position.
“Why……”
He clipped his lips several times with a face that looked very complicated, then finally opened his mouth.
“Why won’t you make the deal?”
“It’s simple, too. That’s a deal, isn’t? If you have what I want, and if I have what you want, we are happy to exchange it. Sadly, however, I don’t like what will you give to me.”
“But… you like me, don’t you? You’ve always been begging me to look after you.”
“Yes, I used to be. Not anymore.”
“How could that be? You can’t change that easily. “
Cassian grabbed his head in disbelief.
I cut off his words, who was muttering to himself, and shrugged my shoulders.
“You did the same thing.”
“What?”
“Your Highness has changed easily. You fell in love with someone in an instant, didn’t you? And the contratry is true. You don’t love someone in an instant. That’s how people’s minds always change. It’s not invariant. “
“Such…”
Cassian’s face was very shocked.
He wouldn’t have thought that Yvesria Oberon, who doesn’t love him, would exist in the world.4
‘Well, if I hadn’t become Yvesria, that would have been the truth.’
That’s how Yvesria’s character was made.
‘But how? I’m not that Yvesria.’
“So there’s no deal. You can’t give me what I want. I already have it.”
What I want is good life.
Yvesria, the Duke’s daughter, was already in condition for it.
So no one in the world could do business with me.
“And if you want to have what I had, then you have to beg.”
“……I beg?”
“You know what? You want me to have something, but you can’t give me a price that I’m satisfied with. Then you have no choice but to appeal to my heart, right? People call it begging.”
With a sneer, Cassian clenched his fist.
“But a noble prince would not do such a thing.”
He became the Crown Prince when he was young and lived in praise around him.
It would have been the first time for such an insult.
“Lady Oberon. Do you know how a great sin it is to insult the royal family?”
“Why? Are you accusing me of insulting the royal family? And then you’re really going to turn your back on Oberon family… …can you do it?”
Of course he can’t.
Cassian’s faction could not resist our side because they were in dire need of the power of the Duke of Oberon.
“And there are no witnesses, right? No royalty can accuse the Duke of Oberon without proof.”
It was a situation in which everyone was dismissed in the face of a secret conversation.
Outside the door stood two knights guarding Cassian, but they could not hear what we were talking inside anyway.
“Oh, no one’s watching anyway. Would you like to beg? Do you happen to know? Maybe I’ll change my mind. That’s how people’s minds change.”
It was a strange way of talking down Cassian’s past deeds, on which he changed to Catherine in a wind.
If he were such a stupid person, he wouldn’t notice that either, but fortunately or unfortunately, Cassian wasn’t such a moron that he wouldn’t even notice it.
Recognizing the hidden meaning, his face hardened.
“……I don’t think today is a good day to talk to. I’ll be back.”
“Yes, I won’t be going far. “
As I lifted my skirt lightly, Cassian closed his mouth and turned around.
An angry Cassian opened the door roughly, and the waiting knights greeted him with a solemn look.
[Harry.]
I looked at Cassian’s back of the head and called Harry.
Then Harry exclaimed excitedly as if he had waited for this moment.
[You want to kill him, don’t you? How can I kill him?]2
[What’s the matter with you, Harry? All you think about is killing.]
[Because I’m a demon, it’s the right thing to think about.]
[…yes, that’s true,]
[So let’s just kill him, he’s so annoying and he’s bothersome to talk to, right?]
[He is annoying, but killing him makes things more annoying, so just hang your feet, and roll on the floor roughly.]
[It’s only that much, you know, killing and seeing blood…]
[Harry, my wish is Harry will spent all day on the wall …]
[Wow! Look! It’s hanging! Knock it down!]3
Harry screamed and blocked my words, and in an instant he put a strength to his feet.
A semi-transparent light approached Cassian’s back and smashed into the back of his knee.
It was so strong that it was clear that Cassian’s knee was bent.
“Ahh!”
Cassian sat on his knees and leaned forward.1
Not only the knights waiting for him but also Emma, who was waiting for me to come out, opened her eyes wide in suprise.
The situation was so sudden that everyone forgot what to say and just opened their mouths.
It was the same with Cassian.
He just flung himself on the floor, as if he didn’t know what had happened to him.
“I, Your Highness…”
One of the knights called out to Cassian and assisted him to stand up.
He still looked suprised as he stood up staggeringly.
His white clothes were crumpled and looked shabby, unlike the first time he visited Erell.
“Ohh, Your Highness!”
I ran out to the door deliberately, raising my voice to the door.
“You must be having a lot of hard time these days. Inside, you suddenly fell, and here again… “
I shook my head with a worried look.
“You must be worried in many ways because your lower body is in a poor condition.”2
” If you go back to the royal capital, eat some healthy medicine. Something good for your lower body.”
[……Hey, Your tone of voice pretends to be worried, but it’s hitting him oddly harder. Men thinks lower body is very important.]6
Even Harry, who had been making a lot of fuss about killing Cassian just now, looked at him with solemn eyes.
It was the same with others.
All the people in one place were staring at Cassian with solemn eyes, and, to be exact, at his lower body.
I gave a fresh laugh and made the finishing blow.
“Be strong, Your Highness. The world isn’t over just because your lower body is poor!”35
* * *
Cassian sat in a carriage back to the royal capital, biting his lips.
The steps back to the royal capital without any success were so heavy that he almost dug himself into the ground.
He didn’t expect this outcome until he arrived at Erell.
Cassian Zerette made a mockery of Yvesria Oberon.
He thought she would do it again because she was a woman who easily listened to him when he smiled and asked for something.
All she had to do was squeeze the hem of her skirt and say, ‘If it was hard, please kiss me.’
Cassian has been faithful to her demands. He’ve had that kind of natural skinship while he was engaged.
He thought it was also as a fiancé’s duty.
A service that much was cheap in return for a boost to the succession to the throne.
It was a lot of luck that such cheaply available cards fell into his hands.
His mother agreed.
She said he was lucky that Yvesria had come to like him, not Liddon, so he could hold on to her.
He fell in love with Catherine and informed Yvesria of the breakup, but he wasn’t too worried.
Isn’t it’s Yvesria Oberon anyway?
She turns red when she sees me, and she can’t look at my eyes properly. Anyway, she’s a girl who likes me so much that she can’t help it.
I thought it would be simple to approach and coax.
‘But it’s completely different…’
Cassian recalled Yvesria, who was looking straight at him.
Come to think of it, the woman’s face that looked at him didn’t even turn red.

‘You really don’t like me anymore?’
This was an affection I took for granted.
I’ve had never valued that affection, but of course I feel bad if I had been robbed of what I’ve been holding.
In addition, Yvesria’s affection was strategically important.
