I’m Harry Potter - Chapter 1
In a dark abyss, a worried human-shaped blue spirit can be seen pacing back and forth as if there was a floor beneath it. This was the spirit of magic and it was pacing because something horrible happened. Earlier today the Dursley family went out to celebrate Dudley’s 6th birthday. Harry was brought along so Dudley could rub his celebration in Harry’s face. On the way home on a dark road, Dudley was complaining about his lack of presents compared to last year when the car swerved out of control and crashed into a tree killing everyone in the car.
“This can’t be happening. This can’t be happening. On the bright side, the soul leach is gone, but his mother’s protection is gone too.”
The blue spirit who will now be called Mage kept mumbling to itself in a distressed manner. Harry was needed to complete the prophecy and defeat Tom Riddle. So Mage brought Harry’s body back to life and healed it enough to still be believable that It went through a car accident. The problem is Harry’s soul has already left his body. One of the rules of this portion of the multiverse set by the one above all for higher beings like Mage is souls in his domain are not to be messed with. So the body of Harry Potter is in a muggle hospital believed to be in a coma with no consciousness or soul. Mage suddenly had an idea.
“If I cant take a soul from a universe under the one above all Ill just find one that isn’t”
Mage searched for a universe that wasn’t owned by the one above all which was not easy. That guy owned a large portion of the multiverse real-estate. Finally, Mage found a couple of universes that weren’t taken yet. Moving quickly it sorted some recently deceased souls and found the perfect one. His name was Harry, it was like Fate one Harry dies and another takes his place. Now all Mage has to do is get his consent and problem solved.
POV change (Harry)
I died. I didn’t die a hero jumping in front of a car to save a girl or some dumb death like choking on a hotdog. I slipped on black ice in my backyard and cracked my head on the corner of a metal outdoor table. I lived alone so no one found me for two days. I had so many movies/shows to watch, novels/fanfics to read, and food I wanted to try. As I was lamenting my death I notice a change of scenery. I appeared floating in a dark abyss the only light coming from a glowing blue figure. It looked like a transparent blue person I couldn’t tell what gender it is. Maybe it has no gender?
“Ummm hi, are you god or something?” I asked hoping to figure out what’s going on.
“No I’m not a god I’m the spirit of magic but you can call me Mage” Mage smiled in relief. Finally, it could fix this whole mess and put everything back on track.
“Ok spirit of magic uhh I mean Mage why am I here? Am I being sent to heaven or hell? Or maybe reincarnation? That would be cool like those novels and fanfics. Or do I just float in this black void until I go insane? That would suck.” I asked looking around hoping its either heaven or reincarnation.
“Well, I guess you could say its reincarnation but there are some circ.u.mstances to it. You see…” Mage then explained what it needed me to do. I was amazed.
Harry Potter is real no, the multiverse is real. Best of all I get to live again how could I refuse. Yea it will be dangerous Harry potter was attacked in some way every year he went to school. But harry also wasted so much of his potential both magically and socially. Magically he probably would’ve failed Hogwarts for slacking with Ron or at least been at the bottom of the class without the help of Hermione. Socially he was loved by everyone except death eaters and their supporters. Harry Potter was a household name similar to Jesus christ for magic people. Too bad the Dursleys beat into him the need to be normal. F.u.c.k being normal that’s boring. What I’m trying to say is I could do better.
“So I get to become Harry Potter and all I have to do is complete the prophecy by killing Voldemort? (Mage nods) Why can’t you just kill him your the spirit of magic right?” I asked.
“There are rules put in place that I must abide by.” Mage said and didn’t elaborate.
“Alright I’m willing to do it, But can you fix my eyesight and any signs of abuse or malnutrition. Also I don’t want the memories of Harrys life at all. I don’t know how bad this harry had it compared to the books and I would rather not deal with any of that.” I asked
“Sure that’s not too hard is there anything else you need or want to ask before I send you on your way?” Mage asked.
“Umm do I have to use a wand and chant to do magic?” I really didn’t want to carry around a stick that when taken away your screwed. I also didn’t want to yell my attacks to my enemies. It all just sounded so dumb.
“No, you don’t have to do any of that. Think of a wand as a crutch every wizard and witch is introduced to this crutch at an early age. What would happen if instead of learning to walk normally and keep your balance as a child your parents gave you crutches and said that’s the only way to walk? When you try to walk without the crutches later in life you fall because the muscles and balance required for walking haven’t been trained. It’s the same with wandless magic. Chants are more to help you visualize and put your intent into the magic. You don’t need them but they help in the beginning.” Mage explained.
“Alright that makes sense before you send me off can I have some way to contact you? Just in case I need something or have more questions.” I asked.
“Sure just say my name out loud while channeling magic into your voice. As long as I’m not busy I will teleport you here and we can talk. Now let’s go.” Mage said and walked to me grabbing my bodiless soul and teleporting away.
We appeared in a hospital room with a young soulless Harry Potter sleeping on the bed. He looked like a five-year-old but he’s actually five. It looks like I was right to ask for my body to be fixed. Thank god the Dursleys are dead if I had to live with them I would most likely kill them weather through accidental magic or not.
“This is goodbye for now and thank you for helping me with this problem. I hope you enjoy your new life.” Mage said as it grabbed me pushing my soul into Harry’s body and everything went black. Before leaving Mage waved its hand and my new body grew to a healthy-looking six year old, healed my vision, and erased the memory of the old harry. A few memory charms so no one was suspicious and Mage disappeared.
