I’m Harry Potter - Chapter 6
(Author note: I messed up Harrys birthday. I thought he was older than Dudley by a month when it’s the opposite so pretend Harry was 5 years old this whole time. I’ll edit the older chapters later.)
I didn’t think Kreacher would want to serve me. Maybe he doesn’t and he’s just doing it out of gratitude. Well, It doesn’t matter I’ll send Mimsy over to him later to make sure he’s presentable like my other elves. Who knows where the Blacks had him sleeping or what he ate. Mimsy takes me home and it’s time for some training. I need a break from Horcrux hunting. Let’s start with something easy. Sitting on the couch I take out a Galleon place it on my open hand. Closing my eyes I feel for my magic and will my magic to levitate the coin while imagining a floating coin an inch above my hand. After a minute of concentration, I feel the weight on my hand gets lighter. It shocked me so much I lost my focus and it got heavy again.
“Damn I had it I just have to keep practicing.” I said
Slowly time passed and I started upping my training. Instead of upping the weight of the object I upped the amount. Instead of one Galleon, I levitated two and so on. After the first week, I could levitate six coins at once. It started getting easy so I upped the challenge to rotating the coins three clockwise and three counterclockwise. That took a while to get down. Its like rubbing your stomach while patting your head x3, very disorienting. After my levitation practice is reading books on magic theory. I found out magic exhaustion isn’t a thing in this world. The limits of magic recorded in the books are:
-Wand type
(Don’t want a crutch thanks though.)
-Accuracy of speech and movement
(Helps at first, but why yell attacks at enemies.)
-Instinct/Talent in different fields
(Even if I’m not skilled in an area I’ll keep trying because I’m a genius of hard work.)
-Practice
(Like I said a genius of hard work.)
(Why would your magic do what you believe you can’t.)
-Spell discovery
(If it’s not invented how are you gonna do it.)
-Imagination
(You have to picture what you want to happen.)
A month passed and I turned six years old. I forgot it was my birthday, but the elves surprised me with a cake. I’ve memorized every book on Magic theory and I could levitate fifty coins and control them individually at the same time thanks to my rotation training. I could lift three hundred if I didn’t have to do the rotations. Now it’s time to open the first year books for Hogwarts. Let’s start with the easiest spell of them all.
“Lumos” I said as I imagine a ball of light appearing in front of me and will it to appear. A spark of light appears in front of me and flickers off. I had it for a second I just have to practice. I go through all the spells like Lumos, Spongify, Diffindo, etc. I failed at most of them but hey it’s my first try, be nice.
One year later.
I just turned seven. I’ve memorized all the first year books and mastered all the spells silently. The trick to silent casting is just say the name in your head. Its harder at first but you get the hang of it. I didn’t try to do any potions because if theirs any accidents I’d be screwed. I’ve also upped my levitation training. Thanks to the exercises I can control five hundred coins separately at the same time(does that make sense?). I’ve pretty much made my own telekinesis ability. The problem is it has no power behind it. I’ve been focusing mainly on control so I’ll have to train its power too. I wonder if I can fly with enough power training.
I found a couple of Occlumency books and started the slow road of what I call brain cultivation. Occlumency is the protection of the mind from Legilimency, but its also so much more. You have to first meditate to find your mindscape then slowly build defenses. When I say slowly I mean slowly. Say you wanted to make a castle you can’t just will a castle into existence or it would collapse. You have to slowly will the bricks into existence and build it piece by piece to have a strong foundation. Now you see why I call it brain cultivation. My mindscape at the moment is a mountain bunker with an electronic passcode lock. I’d like to see a wizard figure that out.
Behind the door isn’t much I’m still working on it. I’m thinking of a maze filled with sentry guns. The good thing about that big bunker door is it protects me from passive Legilimency. Meaning they would have to force their consciousness into my mind to break my defenses which isn’t a common occurrence. What isn’t in the books on Occlumency is it can be used to give yourself eidetic memory. At least I hope so I’ve been focusing on my defenses so far and that took a while. After I finish my sentry gun maze I’ll work on it.
Besides training, I’ve been calling for free elves every month. My minion army has grown to one hundred elves. They all look slightly healthier than other elves thanks to the hygiene plan and food they eat. They’re probably the only elves that get to sleep in beds as well. I’ve been thinking of executing operation ‘Good Will’ as I like to call it. I’ve been having my house elves gather information on abused elves. The operation is simple my elves would sneak into the house of the bad masters and trick them into giving their elves clothes all while invisible. Similar to how Harry freed Dobby in the movie. I’m waiting for more information before we start the operation.
I also get monthly notices from Barrat about the investments. Right now a good chunk of my money is gone, but you have to spend money to make money. I’ve also asked Barrat to buy more Daily Prophet stock so I can combat any anti Harry Potter articles before they come out. I also visited a zoo during the year and found out I still have parseltongue. Now I want a pet snake so I can talk to it.
I should try and get rid of the Gaunt ring Horcrux now. After that, I can test if the resurrection stone that’s supposed to be in the ring actually works. If it works you best believe I’m becoming the master of death. The question is how do I get the ring? That shack is a death trap that I’d rather stay out of. I could buy the land and have the goblins tear it down. They’ve been doing perfectly fine with destroying the other Horcruxes I might as well keep using them.
(Thanks for reading!)
