I’m Not Doing This With A Friend - Chapter 31
Professor Walter successfully left the job to Leen and returned to his seat. It was a coincidence that Leen got in charge of Kun.
On their way, Leen opened any club room doors to find if there was any student she knew, she was thinking of taking over Kun but Leen got caught on another jerk radar.
Although Leen looked at him with profane eyes, Professor Walter was actually popular with the students.
Everything about him was annoying, he easily left his work to his students, having the students work for his errands.
The funny thing was that his laziness was so severe, but the performance evaluation of his students was carried out like a meal.
But strangely enough, he was very popular.
Oh, that’s right! His face was kinda good.
Appearance seems to take up most of the reasons for someone’s popularity, but the bottom line was that he was popular anyway.
Maybe that’s why Professor Walter sometimes had small gifts and notes or letters from students I’m his table.
In his lab desk, the two letters and layered documents were piled up, Professor Walter sighed.
“I just hope it’s all gone.”
His hand was already picking up the letters, as opposed to the harsh words he said.
No matter how annoying he was, he always read the letters of the students to the end.
[I’d like to seriously consult Professor Walter about my aptitude.]
“…Well.”
Sometimes there were letters that wanted this kind of counseling.
Professor Walter, you have to leave some time for other things soon. I found the name of the student who sent the letter thinking.
“You’re really bothering me…”
But for some reason, the letter didn’t have the name of the student who wanted to consult.
I even read the letter with a question.
He feels questions and read a letter,
[I don’t think my life was right for me. Hehe.]
Professor Walter crumpled the letter, saying, ‘Yes, of course not.’ Then opened another letter and read it out.
[How are you, professor?]
This time, it seemed to be a normal letter. He nodded as he answered the letter.
He was able to say that he’s doing well, except that he wants to give up everything, whether being a professor or not.
If it wasn’t because of his father’s request, he would have quit earlier and been doing something else.
However, Professor Walter had no choice but to crumple the letter again because of the contents that followed.
[Why are you doing well?]

The next morning…
The classroom was filled with students chattering because it was still time before the morning class started.
Leen and Jane were also talking among those students.
“What? It seems like a transfer student has been assigned to our class?”
“Yes, it was assigned to our class, so Professor Walter’s would have a student handle the transfer-student. Of course, he tried to pass it on to me.”
“Oh, I heard that the new student was really annoying. What’s the point of being in the same class?”
“It’s all right. If he doesn’t get along with me, that’s all.” Leen said, tapping the desk with her fingertips.
Jane tilted as she crossed her arms.
“But seeing that you ran into each other three times yesterday, I don’t think it’s okay just because you don’t want to see each other. Aren’t you going to be involved in something weird again today?”
“…Don’t speak of such a negative thing because I’m nervous.”
Knowing the ‘power of the mouth for destruction’, Leen felt a great sense of crisis and prevented Jane from setting up a negative flag.
At that time, Professor Walter came in with someone through the noisy classroom. The main character of their conversation, the transfer student Kun.
The classroom, which was noisy at Kun’s appearance, became even more messier.
“Look! I think it’s him.”
“He’s handsome…”
“But he looks a little scary, doesn’t he?”
Certainly his large size was scary, but his raised eyes made Kun look more threatening and fierce.
Of course, thanks to his handsome face, he created a dangerous yet strangely sexy feeling.
His dark purple eyes would have also played a role in creating such an atmosphere.
As the other students were staring at Kun, Leen was exasperated inside.
‘Oh, right, same class, as expected.’
‘I was expecting it, but I couldn’t help feeling annoyed.’
Tap, tap, tap~ The fingertips tapping on the desk became faster. It was a behavior that reveals that Leen had a lot in her thoughts. Jane asked from her side.
“Hey, was he that self-centered kid from yesterday?”
“Yes.”
Jane’s gaze looking at Kun couldn’t be said as nice. Because she had heard from Leen in the dormitory yesterday about the incident.
“It looks like a lot of girls must have cried because of him. He’s a piece of crap that couldn’t be burned.”
Leen was stunned by Jane’s words
‘The nickname ‘unburned trash‘ refers to Fjord’.
Realizing that she had recently promoted Fjord to trash, Leen nodded slowly.
‘But the trash that couldn’t be burned was already used, so I thought it would be better to give him another nickname.’ (Leen)
“Was there any other nickname for him than trash?”
At Leen’s words, Jane stared at Kun’s face for a moment and gave her opinion as if something had come to mind.
“Well, he looks sexy, so what about sexy trash?”
“Then for short se-…”
Tapㅡ
“Then.”
Jane hurriedly shut Leen’s lips from finishing her words.
She was glad to prevent her from saying ‘s’ word. It would be a big deal if she happened to be 0.1 seconds late.
“This nickname won’t be a nickname. The moment you reduce the alias, Leen’s pure lips would be contaminated.” (Jane)
Leen blinked as if she didn’t know what to answer Jane.
After a few seconds she realized what word she tried to spit out, and thanked Jane.
I tried to shorten it and called it ‘sense’ by shortening the number of potatoes that speak, but that nickname was something I couldn’t shorten anymore.
Jane removed her hand from Leen’s lips, as soon as she heard Professor Walter’s voice.
As usual, he spoke in a voice that was full of annoyance.
“Everyone, be quiet!”
But perhaps because he didn’t speak so loudly, his words never silenced the classroom.
When the students showed no signs of shutting their mouth, Professor Walter seemed lazy to even make them quiet and said what they had to say.
“He’s a new transfer student. He’s been assigned to our class, so I hope you get along well in the future.”
Professor Walter points at the seat in the back of the classroom.
“That’s your seat.”
With a lot of omissions in the introduction, Kun’s eyes looked somewhat embarrassed.
“Would it be okay if I don’t introduce myself?”
“You just did it, didn’t you?”
Professor Walter glanced at Kun’s face, who’s expression seems to say that something’s wrong. Kun grasped the situation and nodded softly at Professor Walter.
“…I see.”
Professor Walter, who saw Kun’s nod, flicked his finger in satisfaction.
In an instant, the students stared at the professor with their mouths shut.
“Then it’s settled.”
It was an action the professor did when he wanted to leave.
Anyway, that’s how Professor Walter got out of the classroom, and Kun moved slowly to the seat he was assigned.
On his way to his seat, Kun trying to turn his gaze somewhere found Leen, who was staring at him.
Kun’s steps stop in front of Leen.
“You…”
A deep spark was seen in his eyes. It seemed to occur to him that Leen left him alone yesterday.
“What, why? Do you have something to say?”
Leen raised one eyebrow and stared intently at Kun’s eyes. When Kun opens his mouth.
“Leen!”
Someone approached them calling out Leen’s name.
It was Carson with a bright smile on his face. He’s eyes fixed only on Leen without giving Kun a single glance.
“Caon? What are you doing here?”
Rumors spread that Carson liked me.
Therefore, she had now given up halfway.
At Leen’s question, Carson grinned and summoned the subspace.
“I went to the Academy shopping district yesterday and bought something because I thought of you.” Carsion said as he took out a bunch of things from the subspace.
He pulled out all kinds of snacks and chocolates on Leen’s desk.
Leen’s eyes widened. She had been thinking of sweet foods since yesterday.
Leen’s face was filled with faint joy when she asked what else he brought.
“This was too much…”
Although she uttered words of embarrassment, Carson happily smiled at her.
It was a bright smile that seemed happier than Leen, who received the gift.
In fact, Carson was astutely accepting each of her small reactions, more than Leen thought.
He didn’t just give snacks and chocolate.
He saw Leen go to the bathroom several times yesterday. Carson knew he frowned a little bit each of that short moment.
The fact that he covered her with a thick blanket.
“If it’s too much, you could eat it forever.”
No matter how much Carson wanted to give her a present, Leen, who had only received from him every day, decided to repay him for anything.
“Thank you. I’ll treat you to dinner at a nice place next time.”
Leen’s words reminded Carson of his only happiness.
To have dinner outside of the school cafeteria, going out to the shops around the Academy, and for Carson, it was a date.
A smile bloomed on Carson’s face.
“Really? Then promise me first.” Carson said shyly, holding out his little finger.
Then Leen grinned and hung her finger against his little finger.
It’s the same little finger, but the size difference between his and Leen’s fingers was quite significant.
Carson was fascinated by the small fingers of Leen.
In the meantime, Leen pulled out her finger thinking that this would be enough.
Carson was still looking blankly at Leen. He had an expression as if she had taken away something precious. There seemed to be a lot of lingering feelings.
“Leen, but…”
Carson said, looking at the person next to Leen as if he had thought of something while feeling sad.
“This basta-… No, who’s this?”
Apparently, Carson was smiling, but his low voice gave a tingling feeling.
Leen glanced quickly at Kun and said, “Transfer student.”
“Oh.” Carson, who uttered an unknown exclamation, looked at Kun.
Kun’s eyes and Carson met in the air.
With the two dumb boys standing in front of her, a shadow fell over Leen’s view.
Leen thought. She wanted both of them to leave her seat.
