I’m The Boss’s Secretary?! - Chapter 380
Lee Young wasn’t able to move. His entire body was petrified as if time had stopped flowing for him. Gun Nam smiled smugly seeing the pureblood had lost his action.
“He is the deformed pureblood,” he answered, “He often get in my nerves, trying to act better than me.”
“That is you inferiority complex, Gun Nam. I think he looked perfectly fine, however. Where is he deformed?” The woman questioned as she slid her hand from her crossed arm.
“It’s not his appearance that had gotten him the title of he deformed. It is rather his blood. He is born from a thick blood line where his own mother slept with his brother and it resulted to him.”
“Amusing,” the woman chimed as she reached out her hands. “Maybe I can use him. After all, there is some needs of purebloods for my ritual.”
The woman continue to jerk her hand forward to touch Lee Young’s chin.
“I prefer if you don’t touch me witchess,” Lee Young’s voice rang as he held the woman by her wrist. His eyes narrowed. “I think I might have already found the head of the snake. Catching the tail brings me the head, aren’t I’m lucky?”
The woman smiled despite her wrist giving a crisp snapping sound as Lee Young had just broken her wrist bone.
“You mean by head me?” She asked instead.
“Aren’t you the late Queen? The mistress is what you like to call yourself in this life,” Lee Young answered. He looked at the woman who had a beautiful appearance but the beauty on her face would never be enough to show to naked eyes of how rotten she actually was.
“You know a lot about me don’t you?” The woman chimed with a smile that slowly dropped from her lips. “How do you know who I am?”
Lee Young moved his eyes to the left humming in response, “How do you think I know it either? A certain ghost who you had killed gave me a few whispers about you and who you actually is. So it is time…”
“You think you could kill me?” Chuckled the Mistress who was known as the Queen during her first life. “It will take a hundred of you to ever kill me.”
“We can try but—” Lee Young’s grin suddenly widened, “My goal isn’t to kill you.”
The mistress frowned. She could tell something was hidden underneath the pureblood’s sleeve but didn’t know what it was. Until Lee Young reached out his hand but not to her and rather was to Gun Nam who was standing in front of a large window.
The Mistress’s eyes widened as she realized what the man was planning to do. He was going to kill Gun Nam!
While the mistress don’t actually care about the vampire’s life, Gun Nam was crucial to her plan and he can’t allow him to die now!
The Mistress reached out her hand, muttering a quick spell.
“I learned something while being with Yeseul,” Lee Young announced next to her ears with a calm voice, “It appears that witchess have to use their hands to activate their magic. But what if they don’t have one? It had been my curious question that run through my head. Won’t you help me on my experiments, Mistress?”
A couple of breath didn’t leave wasted as Lee Young quickly plunge down his hand across the Mistress’s hand. His long and sharp claws cut through the woman’s arms, severing it to halves as if it was nothing but butter.
The echoing screams came from both Lee Young’s left and right side. With the screams starting from Gun Nam who free fall off a third floor and the Mistress who cried from pain.
The vampires who saw their master fell from the top floor charged an attack to Lee Young but they were like children in front of him. In less than three minutes, Lee Young had smashed the head of the vampires to the wall. Some begged for his mercy, like the current vampire whose head he held. “P-Please… no more, forgive me!”
“Don’t ask my forgiveness,” Lee Young whispered to the vampire. “Beg for mercy to those you have killed and helped to kill. Go to Hell while you do that. I will follow you when I die.”
The echoing scream surrounded the entire hallway where they had stood at. Lee Young then looked around him, finding how the Mistress had disappeared and he jumped toward the mirror, free falling from above.
Reaching the ground with a loud jump, he then turn to see the large cross which he knew had been built directly under the window where he had jumped. Falling from the third floor for a vampire will only give small scratches but it was different if his heart was stabbed. Such as if his heart was stabbed by the sharp tip of the cross.
The cross was the reason why Lee Young had pushed the man from the window but when he saw the cross, there was only traces of blood with Gun Nam’s body missing.
“Tch,” Lee Young clicked his tongue, “She brought him out.”
In the meantime, Seoyeon assisted Jung Hwa to kill the rest of the vampires. Once they had subdued all the vampires, Jung Hwa looked at her, “Where is Lee Young? And Gun Nam?”
“I am here,” Lee Young’s voice came behind them three. Yeseul who saw Lee Young breathed out in relief. “And about Gun Nam, I was this close to killing him,” Lee Young made his point by measuring distance with his index finger and thumb. “But he disappeared along with the Mistress.”
Seoyeon’s brows raised, “She was here?”
“Personally. I cut her hands. I thought she would be difficult to kill but from what I have tried, It didn’t seem like it would be difficult.”
“It must have been because she had lost half of her power. She was originally a strong witchess, one of the strongest even,” said Yeseul. “Are you really alright?”
“Safe and sound,” Lee Young replied. “But Gun Nam is gone now. What about Jeoknim?”
Slowly Seoyeon shook her head in response, remembering the last moment of Gwe Jeoknim made her sad because the man was a respectable man but in the life anyone experience, people would try everything to come before others, to stand on the top even if it means to kill people.
“So what should we do now?” Lee Young questioned the three people. “Our plan was to take down Gun Nam, save Jeoknim and put him to organize the Associate again. Both of them are gone and looking on our left and right there will be a lot of things we need to do in order to pacify the vampires’ society. Knowing how fearful the people of our society are, it won’t be easy to placate them after this havoc.”
“We will have to find someone else who can take the position as the head of the Associate. Technically we have completed our task even though we only managed to do half of it.” Jung Hwa was the one to reply. Seoyeon saw him brushing his cheeks where blood had splattered on and lent him her handkerchief.
“Do you have any candidate in mind who might be able to control the Associates and vampires’ society? We need someone trustworthy enough with a good head on their shoulders,” Lee Young stated and he took a brief pause to go through the acquaintances he had met in the vampire world, trying finding the one who might be able to take the burden.
Lee Young had some people in mind but they were the far from the perfect candidate. Some had power, some had leadership, but they only had one characteristic that he was searching for and not both.
Seoyeon also fell into sinking silence. Was there someone who can take care of the Associate? She asked as it was their current problem. While her mission was only to kill the Mistress, it would be extremely dangerous to leave the vampires’ society in this state; where the purebloods who took the position of the stabilizer of the society had mostly been killed. What they needed to do now was to stop the vampires from falling into mayhem by searching for the perfect candidate to control the Associate.
Through the people she had met only one single person shines in her mind. Jung Hwa seemed to also shared his thoughts by saying, “There is no need for searching anyone. I have already found the perfect candidates.”
Lee Young crossed his arm and tilted his head slightly, “You mean you?”
“No, not me,” Jung Hwa chuckled, “You, great uncle. Don’t we need someone who is responsible, wont collude to the witches, trustworthy and smart? The answer is right in you. There isn’t a need to search for another person when we have you, don’t we?”
“What?” Lee Young for the first time appeared to be in shock. He turned to see the majority of voices amongst the other three people, seeing them nodding their head in agreement instead of denying the idea.
“That’s right,” Yeseul said, “There is you. We have the perfect person already. Now is time for us to clean this mess.. The smell of blood is wrenching my stomach.”
