I’m The Boss’s Secretary?! - Chapter 383
The next whole night, Seoyeon and Jung Hwa participated to discuss the incoming attack they prepared against the witchess.
“I don’t doubt anyone in this seat,” came the sound argument from one of the people who had lend his aid to strengthen the Associate as they had lost a lot of people into the incident that happened in the evening of yesterday.
“Speak you point, Mr. Chom,” Lee Young raised his hand, being the respectful and polite leader, he concluded all opinions and listened to them one by one.
Jung Hwa saw this as a very perfect quality for his granduncle as hearing was a very great approach a leader should always take.
The man named Mr. Chom carefully looked at Lee Young’s eyes before he stared at Yeseul and Seoyeon.
Seoyeon could feel the stare the man gave to her was sharp. The gaze was between cautious and wariness as if he feared that in any second she would harm him which was inevitable, thought Seoyeon to herself. Currently in the eyes of others, she could tell she looked nothing like a human and rather a beast or monster.
When Seoyeon shifted her position on her seat, she could see how the man flinched.
She raised her brows and the man cleared his throat. Mr. Chom said, “It is like this, sir. I have heard about the catalyst and how powerful they are. They are so powerful that they won’t be able to control their own power, causing the horrible incidents.”
“That’s what you called a coward, Mr. Chom,” Seoyeon answered, standing on her ground. Who would convince she is harmless if she could not do it herself? Looking at the man’s eyes, she said, “Everyone who is sitting in this room apart from me and Elizabeth here; can you say that you believe them?”
Mr. Chom appeared to have something to say against her remarked of him being a coward but he swallowed the word and replied, “Of course I can. We are allies—”
Jung Hwa interrupted the man’s words with his faint chuckle. Although he had been subtle about his laugh, the meeting room was silent, causing no one to miss his laugh.
Seoyeon took the man’s attention again by saying, “Is that what you also believed when you took a seat here with Mr. Gun Nam? It has been proven who is more dangerous to the Associate whether it is me or Gun Nam. Whether I had killed anyone or whether he had killed many heads of the pureblood families. I am strong, my power is deadly but I know who to wield it at. You are dismissing the most help you needed now, are you aware of it?”
Jung Hwa had leaned his chin on his hand he propped on the table. Seeing Seoyeon speaking, his smile was raised up with pride.
“What Miss Seoyeon asked is a question everyone in this room should think about,” Lee Young answered. Fortunately Seoyeon had spoken, thought Lee Young. If it was Jung Hwa who spoke, he could already imagine the man being brought away from the room unconscious.
“Other than the fact we will be working along with Miss Seoyeon and her friends. We have decided to work in hands with the Hunters,” Lee Young announced and at once Seoyeon could see an entire look of shock and disbelief in the faces of the vampires who sat on the opposite seat than hers.
“We can’t agree to that.”
“Working with the hunters? It’s blasphemous!”
“We had trusted them before resulting to the dead of three people.”
Jung Hwa sighed, getting tired of the old men who was still bickering about how they cannot put it into their mind as acceptable to work with the hunters who they see as their mortal nemesis.
“That fight started because one of us had drank a human’s blood without permission or the regulated rule. They have reasoned the three vampires who insisted it was their right to drink blood before attacking them,” Jung Hwa rolled his eyes, “It’s embarrassing you know to defend someone without knowing who was at the fault. There’s an easy way out if you don’t want to work with the hunters.”
Seoyeon’s eyebrows raised while she heard the sound of cheers from the vampires who was happy that they don’t have to lower themselves and worked with the people whose life’s purpose was to kill them.
“What that might be. Is it something we can achieve easily?” Asked one of the vampire on the right side of Mr. Chom.
“Of course!” Jung Hwa answered brightly. “First, you have to get a hundred times stronger than you are now. Second, you must be willing to die. Third… ah but I don’t see you would be able to fulfill the first conditions seeing that instead of progressing you people love more to regress.”
The vampires all went into immediate silence after the sharp words Jung Hwa said.
“Don’t think yourself highly. We are vampires, I am a pureblood, and they are vampires. Do you really think it was only you who doesn’t want to work together. The Hunters also didn’t like the idea but they have lived up to their responsibility and casted aside their pride and hatred but you…?” Jung Hwa scoffed. “Getting older as purebloods seem to only make you stupider.”
“Mr. Jung you might be a pureblood but you don’t have the rights to say those words,” said Mr. Chom with his gritted teeth as all the words Jung Hwa said had only rubbed his sorest spot.
“No, Hwa has all the rights to say this as from now on he is the vice head of the Associates,” Lee Young interrupted. “I know you all hate hunters as much as they hate us. But I have made a plan and I won’t let it be ruined by simple reason such as pride. It is my rights to order you know to forget the thought that vampires are the mightiest being in the world because we are not.”
The vampires were at unrest again and they began to discuss amongst themselves.
“We seem to be unable to reach a conclusion tonight. I would ask all of you to go back to your home and come back tomorrow for a newer discussion,” Lee Young announced and all the people begin to leave slowly.
“They are difficult,” Seoyeon sighed as she spoke.
“Most of them are,” Lee Young answered. “Instead, I have a question for you, Miss Seoyeon.” Seoyeon nodded, letting him to go on. “Can you let me speak with Miss Haneul? I have something that I think I need to speak privately with her.”
Seoyeon looked at him with questioning look.
Privately?
