I’m The Boss’s Secretary?! - Chapter 393
Yeseul was trying to process why was there a creature like this in the place when the creature had jumped and threw itself over her. Lee Young pulled her at once, taking her shoulders into his embrace.
“Don’t daze off,” he warned and looked at his own palm which he had used to push away the creature which now was burning and scalding as if he had touched the sides of a burning kettle pot.
“That’s not a human… or a witch,” Yeseul said, not minding the pull as her eyes were still concentrated on the being which was now crawling in four legs with its long and slender limbs making it to look eerier.
“No,” Lee Young corrected her, “That’s a human. A former human. We have two option. Leave this creature here and find the Mistress. It doesn’t seem like defeating it would be easy but neither would it be difficult. As long as it doesn’t multiply in num—”
Lee Young hadn’t completed before from the same room the creature had walked out five other creature with the same appearance and characteristic crawled out on a spider like movements.
“Great. I just jinx myself,” Lee Young brought his hand in front of him and said, “Don’t make a mistake and touch them like I did earlier. They seem a little too poisonous.”
“You too, be careful,” Yeseul said while looking at Lee Young’s eyes. Since before, Yeseul didn’t particularly like or dislike vampires. Born and raised like a human it took her a while to notice her light witch blood that course to her blood.
She would call herself a neutral to all beings and only kill or defeat to those who harmed her without holding prejudice but she won’t lie about being on guard to other creatures apart from her not only creatures but people.
Oddly enough although she doesn’t feel that she had shared enough closure with Lee Young, she didn’t know but there was a gut feeling inside of her that she could trust him that put the fight smooth as she knew he got her back the same way she did.
When Yeseul casted a small tornado of wind to attack two creatures at the same time, taking the creature to be spun inside the cyclone, Lee Young took two heads of the closest creatures after ripping apart the jaw and the head of the other creature which had came to attack them before throwing the two inside the cyclone and infused the wind with a large fire.
“You are good,” chimed Yeseul who was surprised by how clever Lee Young was to infuse his fire inside her wind that continuously attack the creatures without having them to lift their fingers.
“When you live through many fights you became as crafty as I do,” smiled Lee Young. “Don’t lose focus we still have some before us. Can I leave two for you to take care.”
“I can,” Yeseul answered quickly but her eyes looked at how there was only two creatures left and Lee Young was making his way toward the dead end. “Wait, where are you going?”
Lee Young turned his face and smiled, “The invisible secret room,” and saying that, Yeseul had to avoid the attack of the creature that snapped wide its mouth toward her, wanting to take a bite on her shoulders.
Avoiding it by a hair’s breadth, she noticed the one on her other side had raised its claw. Murmuring a faint spell, she reached out her hand for both the creature to be blown away. Before any of them could get up, she formed another larger Cyclopes, sucking the two creatures inside the swirl before infusing the small tornados with electricity.
Making her way to follow Lee Young, she was then met with him who had pushed his hand inside the wall. While she was shocked, Lee Young had pulled out his hands, at the same time pulling out the head of a man which he had brutally tore from outside.
“This seem to be the one who had released those creatures…” Lee Young looked at the head which he then threw aside. The end of their path which was covered by a wall now had crumbled showing a hidden room which was entirely dark.
Lee Young who saw the room before her as he had been the nearest to the room raised his brows, “Well I would call the most ugliest side of a human one would ever think of.”
Yeseul who stepped in was also stunned by shock, seeing that inside the room there were parts of human remains that had been chopped and sliced. Circular tubes on both their left and right was filled with a green liquid and the similar black creature which they had fought earlier.
Coming closer to one of the cylinder tube which was the closer to her, Yeseul wiped the silver plate to read aloud what was written, “Yoo In-Joo, experiment eighty one.”
In the meantime, Seoyeon rolled on the ground after avoiding a hit. Closing her eyes she summoned all her power and circulated them on her palm before opening her eyes again that had turned bright blue. The next second, Seoyeon had created a large swirl of burning fireball on her hand which she then threw over the large snake.
While the snake was dangerous, Seoyeon found it weakness. The weakness being because of it large body, the speed was rather slow like a turtle but with the snake being slower doesn’t helped her much as the moment it opened its mouth, she was met with a laser beam that caused the pillars and walls behind her to crumble into ashes.
Seoyeon saw how the snake struggle to get out of the fire and the fire seemingly hold less and less affectivity against monster snake. While thinking on what to do, Seoyeon caught sight of the arrow which was left by the enemy earlier.
Unfortunately, the bow was hidden underneath the snake’s tail which furiously flung back and forward, making it difficult for her to come in. She noticed the snake trying to attack her again despite the fire that was burning its eyes.
Being nimble, Seoyeon took the very narrow chance when the snake attack her to slide over its tail as she noted that whenever the snake tried to bite her, it lower body would turn immobile.
Sliding underneath the tail, gave Seoyeon an adrenaline rush as she could see the large and heavy tail which was about to slam down on her.
Fortunately before it happened, Seoyeon had crawled out and took the bow.
The snake hissed aloud and widely open its mouth. Seoyeon tried to attack using the bow once only for the snake to bite down the arrow and broke it into two.
“I can tell after spider snake is my second most hated animal,” she whispered to herself. But at the least it was better than spider, she thought to herself before launching another sloppy attack to it’s body.
