I’m The Boss’s Secretary?! - Chapter 394
For a moment the snake hissed and somewhere Seoyeon could see the corner of the snake’s lips raising as if it was mocking her. In response, Seoyeon smiled back to the snake.
The next moment the snake snapped its mouth to bring forth it’s largest snap as if swearing to bite her this time, Seoyeon didn’t move. She waited for the snake to come forward until it almost touched her when she activated her power and formed a large icicle in between the snake’s mouth, causing its mouth to continue open.
While the snake struggled to bite off the icicles which was difficult with its thickness, Seoyeon had climbed over the snake’s mouth and stood in front of its snake.
“Bye bye,” she then used both arrow which she had clenched tightly on both hands to stab the snake’s eyes.
A loud hiss echoed from the snake’s mouth. Seoyeon can’t close her ears as her hands were both busy. Despite facing the snake’s body that shook and flung with all its might6 to shake her off, Seoyeon clutch tight hold of the snake’s scale. When the snake stopped moving, Seoyeon saw Jung Hwa had appeared on its neck.
Raising his hand, he used the blood of the dead witches around him to create a large sword made out of a crystallize blood before descending it over the snake’s head, cutting it into half.
The snake’s body still move after freshly killed for about two seconds until it finally stopped moving.
“I have been thinking Seoyeon,” Jung Hwa said as he went on top of the snake’s head and reached out his hand to hold hers. “We don’t store enough stories about our dates which we can then tale to our children but I think we have enough stories of our amazing time to our grandchildren.”
Seoyeon looked at him before breaking to a smile, “I hope you wouldn’t over exaggerate on the stories.”
“Ah dear, I have always exaggerate things all my life, it’s the fun you know. When there’s a little one around us, try it, you’ll understand the fun as well.”
“Still fucking talking?” Ava had appeared on their side, trying to kill two birds with one stone by manifesting a large blast from her palm. “The most stupid thing to do in a battlefield is to look away from your enemies, children.”
“I would say the same to you,” smiled Jung Hwa and in that split second, Ava saw Seoyeon’s hands were both raised from the side.
While Ava was on air, she noticed that she had stepped into the place that wasn’t the most favorable to her as blood of the snakes were all over their surrounding.
But she as too late to notice this as the blood formed a large icicle that pierced down her stomach, forming a gaping cavity in the middle of her body.
“Now, who is the children, Ava?” Jung Hwa smiled before it fell down.
Ava coughed and blood fell from her mouth. She struggled to get away but Seoyeon had stopped all her healing power with the magic she casted earlier.
“You won’t be able to do anything Ava. Now your power is no less than a human’s,” answered Seoyeon. “I was about to keep this power for later but I have a few question for you. Were you the one who had killed the Han couple? The Hunters.”
Ava looked at Seoyeon by craning her neck as she couldn’t push herself away from the icicles that thrust her chest and was hoisted on the air.
“If I say I did, what do you want? My apologies?” The woman mocked.
Seoyeon looked back at the woman with a calm gaze. “No, I won’t be doing anything. Their deaths was your fault and I don’t know if there are gods or if there is truly a place like Hell but I am sure you will pay for the life of the innocents whom you have killed, Ava.”
“I don’t mind paying any of the sins I made but Seoyeon, no— catalyst, I will never let myself sink in pity of those whom I have killed. Instead, I am glad I had killed them,” the woman laughed like a maniac. Ava knew what Seoyeon wanted was her apologies or her regret for the deaths accountable from her. Which why she had exactly said the words.
“I told you Ava, I don’t care if you apologize or not. I am not here to punish you after defeating you as from what I see you are already suffering.” Seoyeon looked at Jung Hwa then before returning her gaze to Ava, “Who had told you to potion Jung Hayeon?”
Ava didn’t answer but smirk.
“The Mistress,” Seoyeon found her own answer from the woman’s smile. “Hwa, do you have anything else you have to ask her?”
“No,” Jung Hwa answered. He longed to kill the person who had killed his mother but now he felt satisfied as there was still the Mistress who was the true mastermind of his mother’s death which he would like to kill soon in the future. “You can continue what you wanted to do Seoyeon.”
“Okay,” Seoyeon took three steps forward and jumped down from the snake’s head which she had been standing at before reaching toward Ava.
Though Ava was prepared to die she couldn’t stop herself from being alerted by how Seoyeon continue to come near her and demanded for answer, “What are you doing?!”
“Nothing much, Ava,” answered Seoyeon who then touched the woman’s shoulders. “I will not help you remember the you that you have forgotten. You think by killing you wouldn’t feel any guilty, do you? But I know for one how your family were. They were such a kind hearted people that will make everyone doubt they hold the blood of dark witches.”
“NO- what are you trying to do?!” Ava became alerted as she noticed the glint that was cold as ice passing by Seoyeon’s eyes.
“I am trying to make you remember that’s all it is. As simple as it sounds.. It’s a promise that I have to fulfill with Haneul, the promise which your family protected and the promise in which you have broken,” from underneath Seoyeon’s hand a light begin to appear, “Now we should see if you won’t succumb mentally after suffering from the weigh of guilts which you have ignored.”
