I’m The Boss’s Secretary?! - Chapter 395
Both Lee Young and Yeseul stepped inside the room which was dark and there, Yeseul made her way around to look at the books and papers that were left scattered over the tables.
“She seems to have performed all the experiments there is in this world,” Lee Young remarked as he looked into the other side of the room and frowned when he noted the magic circle which was drawn by blood on the floor.
“And sacrifices too,” Lee Young commented when his red eyes saw the remains of a human on the side of the room which had been reduced to bones.
“Since long the Queen had been greedy,” answered Yeseul. “Madam Yoo was as greedy as she was but that woman wanted a land where the light witches won’t be shunned again. It would have been a noble act if not for the fact she had turned down Haneul’s honest offer for the Queen’s.”
“She trusted the Queen who was also the reason why the light witches to be seen badly instead of Haneul who promised peace?” Lee Young can’t help but to chuckle, “She isn’t the sharpest tool on the shed, I see.”
“Sometimes a person’s judgement is clouded though this isn’t an excuse,” whispered Yeseul as she flipped the pages she saw that only said the growth of experiments the Queen did.
“What clouded her judgement?” Lee Young inquired with interest on his eyes.
“Greed,” answered Yeseul, holding back her sigh as if a lump had formed on the back of her throat. “While Haneul promised peace without discrimination, she believed that isn’t possible. Like most others, Madam Yoo believed that humans, vampires, and witches live a different life and that it’s impossible for them to mingle or come to a reasonable respect to one another.”
“And the Queen promised her a land which she can be free with,” Lee Young continued Yeseul’s explanation, receiving a nod from her. “If she had trusted Haneul although it will take time, I believe that the future where vampires, humans, and witches living alongside each other is possible. Though now…”
“It’s too late,” Yeseul then closed the last paper she read, “The experiments she perform all has the same output. She wants to perform a witchcraft magic which is soul transferring and resurrection.”
“Resurrection…” Lee Young hummed, “I presume it was that woman who she wanted to resurrect.”
“Yes, it is Madam Yoo,” agreed Yeseul. “Seeing the name written there on the tubes, that’s undeniably her ultimate goal.”
“Strange. Even if they were once in a good term with both having the same goal of killing Haneul, I can’t see why she wants to bring Madam Yoo who is in this point is useless to her.”
“It had been said, hadn’t it?” Yeseul questioned, appearing to have solved the puzzle, “She wants Madam Yoo as the power she has had been depleted on her second resurrection.”
“To support her in killing Seoyeon and brought fear to other creatures?” Lee Young questioned and he caught Yeseul’s head slowly shaking.
“That’s not all. What the Queen wants is to regain all her power.”
“Then this is terrible,” hummed Lee Young with a hand on his chin.
“What is?” Yeseul asked and he lightly nudged his chin toward the opposite room. Yeseul followed him inside the room only for her eyes to immediately narrow when she saw the magic circle.
She bend her knees, sit on the ground, and placed her fingers on the surface of the magic circle. Her eyes closed for a few seconds before she opened her eyes again to say, “There are traces of a done ritual.”
“That’s what I thought which mean she has succeed her experiments after all this years. Those creatures we see, I would like to think that they are part of this experiments she used. We should hurry before she resurrect Madam Yoo.”
Yeseul agreed with a quick nod, “Let’s go and find Seoyeon. They might have found the Queen.”
In the meantime below, Taehyung and Taein both continue their attack without a moment of talking. Taein didn’t see why he needs to talk with Taehyung while Taehyung wants to once again hold a proper conversation to his younger brother.
“We need to talk!” Taehyung kicked Taein by the stomach, launching his brother few feet away from the ground.
Taein ground his teeth, “You never had an ear to listen to people. I don’t expect you to understand my human language but I have warned you that I don’t want to listen to it!” Taein stressed his words as he picked himself from the ground but it wasn’t easy as Taehyung was much faster than him that in the next few seconds he had just raised from the floor, he was thrown across the floor again.
“Just this once, let’s talk!” Taehyung avoided the attacks that Taein shot using his magic as he marched forward.
Taein who was alarmed seeing Taehyung coming closer closed his eyes and opened it again for a large black swirl to appear in front of him, preventing for Taehyung from making his way toward him.
For a moment, Taein thought this should give him a leeway to create more distance between him and his older twin brother when from the black swirl, he saw a hand which was bleeding thrusting through the swirl.
Taein’s eyes widened and at the same time, he heard a grunt coming from his brother.
Instantly he swiped his hand across the air, causing the swirl to disappear. A look of shock covered Taein’s eyes while he witnesses Taehyung who could unhesitatingly plunge his own arm into danger as if he didn’t mind the pain nor care the injuries of losing a hand.
“What the Hell are you doing?!” Taein yelled in startle.
Taehyung gritted his teeth as well as shutting his eyes while he endured the burning pain on his arms the bones in his arms broke.
Asked by Taein, Taehyung’s eyes brightened and he reached out his good hand to pull his younger brother by the neck. “That’s my question! What the fuck are you doing? No— what have you been doing Taein?!”
