I’m The Boss’s Secretary?! - Chapter 401
Seoyeon who was in the fight against the Mistress snapped her eyes to look at Gu Manyeong as Haneul whispered in her head, ‘It’s him’
There was longing in Haneul’s words and although Seoyeon doesn’t feel anything in meeting Min Hyuk whom she had only known through walking into Haneul’s past.
That was the man Haneul had been wanting to see but why was he on the mistress’s side?
“Curious?” The Mistress’ voice came beside her ears and in one instance, Seoyeon created a barrier which caused the woman’s hand that almost went for her neck to sizzle as if she had touched the burning side of a cooking pan.
“What did you do?” Seoyeon demanded for answer as Haneul wished to know. One thing they were both certain is that Min Hyuk should have known better who apart from the two are the enemy and yet he had sided with the woman who had stolen everything from him and Haneul?
“Why do you asked me?” The mistress chuckled in response but Seoyeon wasn’t pleased with her words and stared deadly at the woman. “Just because I am the villain here that doesn’t make me responsible for anything do I?”
“It is because you are the villain here. Min Hyuk wouldn’t be blind that he doesn’t know who is the true enemy here! What have you done to him?”
The Mistress’s laughed when louder and she covered her mouth, “Just a little game. I remember once how you said about love being eternal, Haneul. By curiosity I come up with a plan to truly test your eternal love between you and your dear Min Hyuk.”
“What do you mean?” Seoyeon asked as she still coudn’t understand this. She looked at Jung Hwa who was fighting Min Hyuk and see the latter smiling as they fought as if he was enjoying it.
“I reverse our position,” answered the Mistress. Spreading her hands beside her arm, her body begin to lift from the ground. “Now in your beloved Min Hyuk’s eyes, I am the pitiful Haneul who was killed unjustly while you… you are the late Queen who is now residing inside the body of Han Seoyeon while waiting to gain her true power.”
Seoyeon felt deep anger bursting inside her. Her eyes brightened and grew fiercer as the anger that Haneul felt affected her as well. “You shameless monster!”
“Call me what you want but you won’t ever win, Haneul. Not last time, not now, never!” The ground shakes as the entire floor quivered, causing cracks and fissure to form underneath them. The ceiling begin to break, causing some people to scream with their sudden loss of footing.
“I will show you what true hell means and teach you what it is to be my enemy,” cursed the woman who then threw her head back to howl laughter around the mansion which begin to cave in.
The fissures on the ground started to distance further from the other, breaking to create cavity.
Seoyeon was busy enough to avoid the Mistress’s attacks all over her that streamed from above like rain. As she tried to create a shield, she heard the people screaming for help as they were about to fall inside the hole.
Seoyeon didn’t want to see the innocent hunters’ life to be loss and prioritize them over the Mistress when Yeseul and Lee Young jumped from the second floor.
“Leave them to us,” Lee Young used his ability to have the rest of the hunters who was far from saving to float midair.
“You can focus on her,” Yeseul, who had come to stop the ceiling and broken parts of the mansion from falling over others added.
Seoyeon now knew the pain that Haneul felt. She was fortunate enough to have people to help her. But what about Haneul? She was all alone, having herself to fend for while trying to prevent deaths that she eventual failed on.
Seoyeon still saw the Mistress laughing like a maniac as she was one and begin to calm herself down. She had let her emotions run wild when she knew the way to win against the woman was by being cool headed.
When she opened her eyes, Seoyeon the raised herself to the same level of the mistress, purposely making herself a little higher to look down on the woman.
“You seem to have mistaken one thing, Mistress. First of all. I am not Haneul. Second, you have never beaten me and I would safe you from more sorrow by telling you this. Soon you will be down on the ground groveling for your life’s safety but I promise you I will never forgive you.”
Seoyeon had spoken as if she was giving pity to the woman which clearly didn’t sit well with her.
The Mistress’s jaw locked, “I will rip you to pieces girl!”
Seoyeon bleakly swipe her hand once and The Mistress who was about to dodge the attack frowned as Seoyeon had sent no attack toward her. She begin to scoff, “You can’t even—” her words stopped as blood spewed out from her mouth.
The Mistress’s eyes were stunned and her hands were filled with the warm and sticky red liquid. It appears that she had to take two minutes to wrap her mind around how she had been attacked.
“W-What did you do?” The Mistress asked while looking Seoyeon who had suspend herself higher than her. With the ceiling of the mansion breaking in, through some of the cracked walls, light glowed from behind Seoyeon who offered the shocked stricken woman a sincere smile.
“Oh my,” Seoyeon raised her brows with her hand in front of her mouth, “I didn’t attacked you too fast that you can’t even notice my attack did you? Or perhaps I did?”
Below her, Jung Hwa was in a physical fight against Gu Manyeong or the man who was known better as Min Hyuk.
“I am wondering what you are doing right now?” Jung Hwa inquired as he dodged the swift attack of Gu Manyeong. His kicks and punches were beautifully arranged as if the martial arts had been taught to him to the bones which might be true.
Gu Manyeong’s eyes narrowed at Jung Hwa, “I am only protecting the people precious to me.. This is an emotion that most pureblood vampires don’t know, like you.”
