I’m The Boss’s Secretary?! - Chapter 402
Jung Hwa’s was often on the receiving end of the same words that were thrown by people that he wondered if those people ad recite the words together. He smiled and chuckled lowly, “And what makes you be in the position to judge whether or not I have a heart? Because you have heart?” He raised his eyebrows, “Well from what I can see you are the douchebag here who doesn’t have heart.”
It seems that his words trigger an anger from the Gu Manyeong as the latter hurled him away by launching water all over him. Jung Hwa frowned seeing the water as it did no damage on him when in the next second he saw his hand freezes inside a clear ice.
Jung Hwa’s eyes looked at his hand that cannot be moved. It was known that second generation vampires can regulate their own abilities. With him using his ability to control and shape blood, Min Hyuk’s ability wasn’t that much of a difference.
“Have you forgotten the person who killed you and your beloved?” Jung Hwa questioned. He didn’t know much about Min Hyuk and truth to be told he wasn’t very fond of him.
Haneul and Seoyeon was a different person but it didn’t change the fact that Haneul lived inside Seoyeon and somewhere the thought of Min Hyuk being the person treasured by Haneul that correspond with Seoyeon didn’t sit well with him.
It also pose him a question why the man was in the other line.
Unexpectedly Min Hyuk replied, “How can I ever forget? The killer was her, the Queen who is now inside Han Seoyeon.”
“Oh, god,” sighed Jung Hwa while covering one hand over his red eyes which he then opened while looking at Min Hyuk whi was confused by his expression.
“Not going to lie here but I was quite happy knowing that you were on the wrong side. Which also mean I could kill you without feeling guilty but…” Jung Hwa sighed. “I have no choice but to subdue you now.” And without further noticed he launched forward to form a scythe made out of blood. The shine of the blade told enough how thirsty it was for more blood to cover the cold surface.
Over the other side on the corner, the fight Seoyeon and the Mistress had wasn’t less messier than the fight Jung Hwa and Min Hyuk had started.
The Mistress’s attacks were feral and wild. She aimed at all Seoyeon’s weaknesses, trying to pull her closer with her magnetic ability before tryin to tear her limbs.
Seoyeon managed to escape but had no time to completely return the attack the woman had done to her. She noticed how between the fight the mistress only aim on either her arm or legs as if making her suffer before her death was her primary goal.
Seoyeon tried to wreck her mind on what to do. She was able to manipulate her ability and did wha she wish but she knew fully well that this wasn’t the extent of the catalyst’s power.
While the Mistress was handicapped she was also suffering from the drawbacks of having not enough experience with her own ability.
‘There isn’t anything I can teach you,’ Haneul said inside her head.
Seoyeon smiled as she held herself against the wall to decoy the attack away from her. “What’s the use of mulling over an unchanged fact? You can’t show me the rope and I am inexperienced but you do know what you can do to help me right?”
‘I have to find out what magic she used to Min Hyuk. If we are close enough to him, I might be able to find out about it.’ Haneul replied to her when in the moment of inattentiveness, Seoyeon saw a large black ball launching toward her.
Quickly, Seoyeon raised her hand, creating an invisible barrier to deflect and push back the woman’s attack.
“You are so desperate,” Seoyeon say to the mistress whose hands were spread in front of her to push the swirl of power she had. “Is that how much you want to be the Queen? Don’t you know a position isn’t earned by killing others. You need to also respect those below you.”
The mistress laughed hearing this and swiped her hand across. Seoyeon who can’t handle the pressure was launched back to the walls, creating holes after holes until she reached on the front yard of the mansion.
Trying to get up was difficult and she could hear her head ringing to notice a red wisp behind her which came from Jung Hwa who had tried to decrease the impact of the attack.
“You know,” the mistress came in front of her and Seoyeon pulled out the knife she saw hanging from the woman’s side to take a stab on the woman’s stomach when her face was met with a powerful punch.
Blood spewed out from Seoyeon’s mouth but she didn’t mind the pain. Pushing her own body, Seoyeon twirled her leg to captured the woman’s neck but with a magic the Mistress had pushed her on the ground.
Although Seoyeon was sure in the matter of a physical fight the Mistress wouldn’t be able to go against her in less than five minutes, it was another thing when magic was involved. Magic which the Mistress was born and lived with.
“Ah,” Seoyeon clicked her tongue, “I forgot I could have used some magic there.” The mistress at the same time stepped on her wrist, crushing the bones that were in it. Seoyeon hissed in pain.
“When I was still the Queen of this land there were many people who were like you. They always advised me to be the Queen of my people, to treat them for the better but you know to me a Queen don’t do favors to anyone. We kill and we attack, it is all on our choice. You don’t understand what I mean?”
Seoyeon’s brows pulled tighter as the Queen stepped further on her hand. “I don’t have to respect those below me. You are ants. Tell me one reason why I should care of such an insignificant life when there are more waiting before me?”
Seoyeon smiled and her smile clearly agitated the woman in front of her, “You forgot something. Ant is weak when they’re alone but not when they are together, right Jung Hwa?”
The Mistress’s eyes widened and almost immediately she turned her head only to find no one. Seoyeon had taken a hold of her ground and pushed the woman on the floor in the same manner as she did earlier.
“How naive. Don’t you know trusting is the last thing you should ever do in a fight?”
