Immortal of the Ages - Chapter 752: Disaster in the Six Paths!
Yun Xiao’s heart almost dropped at the sight of Zhao Xuanran disappearing. The Third Primordial Coffin had transformed into a six-eyed beast and whisked her away!
Instinctively, he chased after them with his Sovereign Sword!
VROOM! VROOOM! A nine-colored rainbow sword and an azure sword raced through the sky in a furious blur.
“What in the world is happening?” Yun Xiao asked the little black beast in his robe.
“I have no idea!” Blue Star exclaimed, wide-eyed. For even him to be clueless only deepened the mystery.
As Yun Xiao watched Zhao Xuanran speeding away into the horizon, he felt a fire of urgency flare within him. Fortunately, he was faster, and in a blink, he soared right in front of her!
“Senior Sister!” Yun Xiao had barely called out when Zhao Xuanran suddenly descended toward the ground below.
Beneath them, a barren land hung in the misty celestial fire.
HUM! Zhao Xuanran landed on this desolate ground, her eyes still swirling gold vortexes, her expression unreadable.
Above her, the six-eyed beast continued its eerie, spectral presence.
“Stay put, let me have a taste!” Red Moon landed and roared, his coarse voice shaking the entire barren land.
Desperate, Yun Xiao found himself dealing with his nonsense.
Hearing Red Moon’s remark, the six-eyed beast chirped indignantly, then surprisingly spoke in human tongue, “Disgusting!”
Its voice was like that of a small, tender child, soft and sweetly glutinous.
“Release my Senior Sister Zhao first. Whatever you desire, we can discuss it calmly,” Yun Xiao said, regaining his composure.
The six-eyed beast paid him no heed. Its six eyes suddenly burst forth with dazzling golden lights, enveloping the whole land. Under this golden glow, the rocks, soil, rivers, and trees of this barren land transformed as if being forged into gold itself.
This was no mere alchemy of turning stones to gold; it transformed water, wood, and earth as well.
The once barren land, in a mere moment, transmuted into an island of pure gold. Then, from nowhere, dark runes began to etch themselves upon this golden isle, assembling into a vast celestial formation!
And Zhao Xuanran stood right at its heart. Bathed in the golden light, she seemed beyond the ordinary… Yet, this was not her usual demeanor. She was meant to bring warmth, not distance.
“Junior Brother Yun…” she softly began, her golden vortex eyes gradually halting to gaze deeply at Yun Xiao. “Do not worry, it’s merely a change of environment for the baby.”
“Where?” Yun Xiao asked through gritted teeth as he beheld the grandeur of the golden celestial formation.
“A new home… ours,” Zhao Xuanran spoke, her eyes swirling once again like a golden ocean.
“A new home?”
Why seek a new home when one already existed? What was her relation to this six-eyed beast? Or was she completely under its control?
At that moment, the beast addressed Yun Xiao, “Don’t you think about coming near that Dao Source!”
Having said that, it activated the golden celestial formation, which now showed six massive vortexes, each resembling an eye. These six eyes surrounded Zhao Xuanran; she levitated above them, her body now engulfed in a black and gold radiance!
“Junior Brother Yun…” she called out softly, her tone laden with affection, reluctance, and a trace of confusion.
Yun Xiao knew her call was genuine; her every sentiment hung on those words.
Sadly, the sudden emergence of that third Primordial Coffin left Yun Xiao no chance…
Just then, the golden six-eyed celestial formation erupted, a blinding light burst forth, piercing the skies of the Great Dao Celestial Realm with its fierce brilliance!
Soon, with a humming sound, the light exploded.
When the brilliance finally faded, Yun Xiao found before him an empty expanse…
Divine Dawn had gone with her new master to the Ancestral Land, Moon Fairy fell into the Six Paths of Reincarnation, and now Zhao Xuanran, taken by the third Primordial Coffin, vanished without a trace.
“A new home? What exactly is happening…” Yun Xiao muttered, peering into the dimming golden light with no one in sight. He then looked down at Red Moon and Blue Star, who had poked their head out of his robes.
“That third Primordial Coffin seems to have a mind of its own. It has no desire for you to merge with a Dao Source, nor does it want to become a part of the Creator Immortal,” Blue Star remarked with a thoughtful expression.
To revive the Creator Immortal and surpass his past, the fusion of the Ten Primordial Coffins and Dao Sources was crucial for Yun Xiao.
Heaven Burial Sword Soul, Prison Warden Sigil… these were elements the Creator Immortal had never possessed before!
“Thankfully, the other Primordial Coffins are quiet,” Blue Star added.
“But what’s my senior sister’s connection to this Primordial Coffin?” Yun Xiao frowned.
“Your sister is just an ordinary mortal, plain as day. What connection could she possibly have? This is just a straight-up kidnapping, holding her as leverage to threaten you,” Blue Star replied.
Hearing this, Yun Xiao grew even more worried.
“Don’t worry, that little six-eyed furball is still naive. It’s good at fleeing, but we’ll catch it soon enough.”
The little black beast leapt down from Yun Xiao’s robe and landed on the golden island.
After Zhao Xuanran’s departure, the six-eyed celestial formation and the golden island remained, albeit somewhat twisted and chaotic, their structure damaged.
“Good news!” Blue Star looked up excitedly. “We can repair this thing and use it again. Get ready, once I’ve fixed it, we’ll follow them.”
“Oh? We were missing a way to leave, and here it is!” Red Moon cackled.
The two were lighthearted, still finding joy in the moment.
“How long will it take?” Yun Xiao asked.
“Half a day,” Blue Star estimated after some thought.
“Alright!”
Yun Xiao still had to settle some affairs in the Great Dao Celestial Realm and called over the War Princess.
He instructed the War Princess to inform Cao Shuo and the others to come.
“Huh?!”
Just then, Yun Xiao’s expression turned curious.
“What is it?” The little black beast, busy on repairing the six-eyed celestial formation, called out to Yun Xiao.
“From my body double, in the Six Paths of Reincarnation, there’s news about my senior sister!”
With that, Yun Xiao closed his eyes, focusing his attention on his body double, Moon Fairy.

Six Paths of Reincarnation, Beast Path, on the road to the Beastly Spires military camp…
Moon Fairy was idly chatting with the tree demon Old Kapok when suddenly, the earth beneath them trembled violently.
Behind them, a monstrous roar shook the heavens, so loud it seemed as though the entire realm of the Six Paths of Reincarnation trembled.
RUMBLE! The surrounding lands, mountains, and rivers appeared to rip apart, collapse, and reverse.
For a moment, this world, thousands of times larger than Naraka or the Great Dao Celestial Realm, felt as if it was splitting at the seams.
That beastly roar especially… it grew louder, more savage, and more harrowing by the second!
“What is that?” Moon Fairy looked up, only to see a massive, sky-darkening shadow pass over them through the storm, heading deeper into the Beast Path. It smashed through numerous mountain peaks along its path, emitting ghastly cries that sounded utterly desperate.
“The Soul Refining Skulltopus! What could scare it so, to abandon its post and flee in such panic?” Old Kapok’s eyes widened in disbelief.
“Silence!” The Black Brute Bear turned around, her crimson eyes scanning the ranks, and commanded, “Everyone, back to the Soul Refining Cauldron, to investigate the truth!”
“Yes, Colonel!”
Hearing this, the 1,000-strong Desolation Corps tensed. The disturbance was so vast that even they felt fear.
However, as the Desolation Corps of the Beast Path, military orders were absolute and their duties grave. None of the members dared to hesitate. They turned back, heading towards the direction of the Soul Refining Cauldron.
At the same time, various flying talismans chaotically fluttered among the troops!
Before they could reach the Soul Refining Cauldron, Moon Fairy noticed that many in the Desolation Corps already knew what had happened. They were all immensely shocked, and the news stirred a buzz of voices.
Although Moon Fairy had just been assigned the position of adjutant, he had yet to earn the respect of the Desolation Corps. So, no one reported anything to him.
“Old Kapok!” Amidst the chaos and cries, Moon Fairy grasped a branch of Old Kapok, pulling the tree demon close to asked, “What on earth has happened?”
Old Kapok thrashed his branches wildly, his voice hoarse as he explained to Moon Fairy, “At the entrance of the Six Paths of Reincarnation, another six-eyed creature appeared—its eyes golden! It seems to have slain the old Six-Eyed Pandemonium!”
“What?” Moon Fairy was staggered, “It got here so quickly?”
“This is big trouble! The old Six-Eyed Pandemonium was the axis of the Six Paths of Reincarnation world. Without it, who will manage the reincarnation cycles? Now, the entire Six Paths are in disarray!” Old Kapok’s branches flailed in distress.
“And the new Six-Eyed Pandemonium, after killing the old one, then what?” Moon Fairy was less concerned about the functioning of the Six Paths for the moment; he was more worried about Zhao Xuanran.
Had she appeared here as well?
“It entered from the Heavenly Path,” Old Kapok said.
The Heavenly Path was the highest and first vortex at the entrance of the Six Paths of Reincarnation, far more noble than the Beast Path.
“And after it entered? Where did it go?” Moon Fairy pressed urgently.
Old Kapok was preoccupied with the worry of the old Six-Eyed Pandemonium’s death—a matter of grave consequence for their world, not just for him but for everyone present.
“I’ll find out more!” Old Kapok, calming himself after a while, was also curious about the developments and hurried to mingle with the other troops.
Now, there was no need for physical scouting; information was gathered purely through flying talismans.
Yun Xiao, anxious, had Moon Fairy, his body double, join in listening to the troops as they discussed in shock.
“The Reincarnation Bastion! It went to the Reincarnation Bastion!”
“What’s it planning to do?”
The mention of the Reincarnation Bastion seemed to concern every soul present; many of the Desolation Corps members were visibly tense, their nerves taut.
The atmosphere turned eerily silent, everyone’s expression grim as if the end of the world had descended.
In a moment, the flying talismans seemed to explode—many troops received the news!
“The Reincarnation Bastion is damaged; the cycle of reincarnation has been forcibly halted!”
“What!”
With this news, the entire Desolation Corps was shaken anew, everyone exchanging bewildered looks, faces etched with confusion.
“What exactly is the goal of that Golden Six-Eyed Pandemonium? To first kill the Guardian of the Six Paths of Reincarnation entrance, then destroy the Reincarnation Bastion, ruining both the entrance and the exit?”
“Does this make any sense? The cycle of reincarnation benefits so many. Whose interests are being disturbed here to warrant the destruction of the Six Paths of Reincarnation?”
