Immortal Wife Omnipotent Father - Chapter 10 Abnormalit
Later that afternoon, Yasmin was lying within a large white CT scanner staring into the roof of the inner barrel wishing she could use secret arts to destroy it. There was nothing wrong with her, her husband just refused to believe the truth.
The bed she was lying on travelled in and out of the machine as she could physically feel the X-rays passing through her body, giving her an ill feeling.
“Mrs. White, if you could please stand up and return to the waiting room,” The doctor behind the computer in a closed off room said over the intercom.
Yasmin didn’t even bother to respond to him and stood up before curtly walking out of the room. In the waiting room.
Mal was sitting with Ether as they watched the small tv in the corner of the room which was playing a children’s cartoon. Yasmin approached and sat down in the chair beside him in a huff, the grip of her hand causing the plastic handle of the chair to splinter.
Mal glances at the chair with a sigh and had to wait approximately ten minutes before the doctor called him into the office to view his wife’s scans.
“Ether, you stay here with your mom for a bit. Yasmin don’t do anything weird okay?” Mal left those words before following the doctor.
“Mal, I know we’ve been friends for quite some time,” the doctor said with a sigh. “That’s why I want to discuss this with you first, come have a look at the scans.”
“What is it I’m looking at?”
“It’s her brain, it has some strange formations inside of it, it is unlike anything I’ve ever seen.”
“So, she’s sick?”
“I don’t know what she is, but it isn’t normal, I can tell you that.”
“What should I do?”
“I want her to book in an EEG to see what kind of activity is going on in there.”
Mal sighed to himself and answered, “Fine, do you have a schedule of open appointments here?”
“We actually don’t have the device, the closest one is at a large hospital on the other side of Phoenix. I can contact them for you to arrange it, what is your schedule like?”
“The sooner the better, Clark.”
Clark made a call to the hospital with the device and after talking for a bit, he wrote down the appointment, almost two weeks from today, on a small card and handed it over to Mal as he hung up the phone.
“Thanks, Clark.”
“What are friend for, right? Just make sure you come to the barbeque I arranged next weekend. Claire has been missing Ether dearly for quite some time.”
“Haha, I’ll be there.”
Mal said farewell to Clark and left the viewing room. He waiting in the waiting room with Ether and Yasmin until the receptionist called him out and handed him a large envelope containing all of the scans in it.
