Immortal Wife Omnipotent Father - Chapter 3 My Wife Became Arrogan
The restaurant must have really liked her, because Ether got double the amount of ice cream. She grinned sheepishly as she dug in with a tea spoon, not even touching the waffles and strawberries until the very end when they were completely soggy from melted ice cream.
While they were eating, Mal watched the tv in the corner of the restaurant playing the news. Currently playing the same news as had been displayed over the past week.
[The strange anomaly that is present over the Pacific Ocean is still persisting. Several renowned physicists and other researchers are reported to be heading out to investigate the phenomenon]
“Papa, what caused that?” Ether asked about the video footage displayed on the news of the Pacific Ocean where a massive concave depression in the ocean about a mile across could be seen.
“It’s magic. Someone cast magic on the ocean,” Mal said with a smile, which wasn’t a poor guess considering nobody knew what caused it, although a few alien and government conspiracy websites were starting to pop up.

“Did you enjoy it?” Mal asked Ether after paying for the food and leaving.
“Yep!” Ether called out with a smile brighter than the sun.
“Now that you got what you want, you’re not aloud to misbehave for the next week, okay?” Mal said mockingly serious.
“I promise, Papa,” Ether responded while bobbing her head sheepishly.
Right outside Mal and Ether’s home, a police car was parked along with two officers standing beside it while talking to one another. As soon as they saw him and Ether, they began walking over toward them.
“Paul, Marvin, can I help you with anything?” Mal curiously asked the two officers, one of which also had a daughter in the same elementary school that Ether went to.
“Mal, can you and your daughter come with us down to the station for a bit? There is currently a woman there under arrest who claims to be your wife,” Paul awkwardly said
“Papa, is it Mommy?” Ether asked her father quietly, who was currently staring wide-eyed in shock.
“Let’s go have a look.”
Mal carried Ether in his arms as he sat in the police car and was driven toward the local police station.
Inside the precinct a woman with her chin raised up was sitting in an interrogation room with her hands cuffed to a safety rail on the interrogation desk.
She had long golden hair pinned up like a lotus flower behind her head before it cascaded down her back. Atop her head sat a crown that fit her image so perfectly it was as if it was custom made for her.
She had a high-bridged nose and her emerald eyes gave off a piercing cold glare which intimidated anyone they looked at.
The woman wore a strange snow white dress with long wide sleeves and decorated with royal purple trimmings. A purple sash was wrapped around her waist and tied into a wide bow at her back.
“Ma’am, you committed multiple counts of theft and assault on several officers of the law! If you do not cooperate with us, you will be punished to the full extent of the law!” An officer in the interrogation room yelled at the woman who continued to look down upon him in disdain.
“You dare question this Empress?! Mortal, who do you think you are? Find me my husband before I extinguish your soul!”
Mal and Ether watched this through a CCTV camera from outside the room in shock, both for very different reasons. Ether because the woman who was supposed to be her mother was a quiet shy woman, or so her father had always told her.
Mal was staring with his jaw agape because the woman inside truly was his wife, he would recognize her no matter how much she changed, even if her beauty seemed to have ascended the heavens and her attitude changed so much it was like she was someone else.
“Mal, is she Mrs. White?” Paul asked while watching the CCTV footage with a sigh.
Mal glared at the woman on the screen in a sudden rage and spoke through gritted teeth, “No, she isn’t.”
“Are you sure? She incapacitated two officers with physical violence, and it took three more just to subdue her. She is currently scheduled to be held overnight in the county jail and be sent for a full psychiatric evaluation. She has been saying some strange things for a while.”
Hearing Paul’s words, Mal sighed but remained silent.
“Papa, is she mommy?” Ether asked with teary eyes that were shaking in nervousness in fear.
Seeing his daughter’s doe like appearance, Mal sighed heavily as his anger dissipated and he said, “She is. Paul, what do I need to do?”
“She’s under some serious charges, but I’ve known you for years, Mal. $2,000 bail is the best I can do for you.”
Mal frowned as he agreed to pay the bail, feeling the pain in his wallet.
“Papa, why is mommy like that? What happened?” Ether naively asked in fear as she recalled her supposed mother’s high nosed attitude as she threatened the interrogating police officer.
Mal wasn’t sure how to answer so he simply said, “Ether, your mommy’s become arrogant.”
