Quest

The villagers are out for blood

It is my neck they have in mind

We’ve much in common, they should acknowledge

I’ll repay them all in kind

There seems to be some misunderstanding

I only seek out beauty

To offer love and eternal passion

I met her at the churchyard gate

She was destitute and weak

I promised riches, a bountiful life

Her interest did I pique

And so I brought her to the castle

Beguiled by her decolletage so pure

My oath of blood, my quest for love

I would not, could not abjure

And so she was mine,

eternally and forever.

“Kill them! Kill them all!” Katherine heard the screams, the cries, and she can’t do nothing. A silver chain was around her neck, her hands, and her feet preventing her to move. Everytime she tried, she will the pain running throughout her body. “No! No! Paps, where are you? Drake, baby, answer me! Amber!” She shouted hoping that someone could let her go and protect her loved ones. “Baby…” Katherine heard Drake’s faint voice. “Drake!? Oh god, baby, no! Noooooo!!!!”

Drake was startled hearing Katherine’s screams.

After she fainted, they went home and everyone, most especially Serafino, felt relieved seeing Katherine was safe. They told the Elder and the rest of the clan that her full transformation happened already and they were all thankful but at the same worried because she was still unconscious after three days.

“Baby, wake up. Please wake up.” Drake said while stroking Katherine’s face. Katherine slowly opened her eyes. She adjusted her eyes because it became blurry due to her tears. “Baby…” She heard his voice and in an instant, she embraced him tightly. Drake did the same.

Drake cupped Katherine’s face and wiped the tears from her eyes. “Thank God, you’re awake.” Drake said and Katherine saw his state. Drake had dark circles under his eyes, stubbles on his face, and he stinks. “What happened to you?” Katherine asked while caressing his face. “You’ve been knocked out for three days and we’ve been worried to death as to when you will wake up.” Drake said making Katherine’s eyes went wide. “Three days!? I’ve been sleeping for three days!?” Drake smiled seeing Katherine’s reaction. “Yeah.” Drake said. “Oh my gosh! Where’s Celeste? Where are they? Are they safe?” Drake tried to calm down Katherine by hugging her again. “Don’t worry, they are all safe and probably enjoying their new home.” Drake said making Katherine furrowed her forehead. “New home?” She asked. “Yeah, Paps let them stay in the woods not far from here.” Drake answered. “Are they safe there? What if Travis…” Katherine wasn’t able to finish her words because Drake’s lips was on hers.

Drake’s sweet kisses helps Katherine to forget all her worries. When she’s in his arms, she feels safe, she feels warm, she feels that everything will gonna be alright. Drake deepened the kiss when he felt that Katherine put her hands around his neck. She moaned when he entered her mouth and tasted her sweetness. They were both panting when they separated.

“Happy birthday, Baby.” Drake said planting a kiss on her forehead. Katherine made an “OH” on her face. “Thank you for waking up on your special day.” Drake said and tried to kiss her again but the door suddenly opened and a long, loud, piercing screams of her friends filled the entire house.

“Easy there, girls. You don’t want to put Katherine back to her unconscious state.” Athan said seeing that Katherine is under the four of her friends. “I want to hug her too.” Alaric said but received a death glare from Drake. “I can’t breath! Get off me!” Katherine said pushing her friends. “Happy birthday!” Amber, Dawn, Thana, and Amdis spoke at once. “No, stay away from me!” Katherine said but failed because once again she’s under the four of her friends.

“Hunter, get off me!” Amber said when she felt Hunter’s tongue on her face. “Eeeeewwwww, Hunter, you’re disgusting!” Dawn said when the wolf licked her arms. “Get away, get away.” Amdis shouted when Hunter had her hair. “Argh, Hunter, don’t you dare!” Thana said. The boys can’t help but laughed seeing Hunter was trying to get his way on Katherine and he succeeded.

“Where is she? Where’s my princess?” They all heard Serafino’s voice. “Hunter, get off her!” Serafino said but Hunter didn’t move even a little making Serafino rolled his eyes. “Hunter!?” Serafino using his Elder voice and the wolf whimper running behind Drake. “Good boy.” Serafino said and approached his granddaughter and gave her a crushing hug.

“How are you, dear?” Serafino asked. “I’m good, Paps.” Katherine said. “Happy birthday!” Serafino said giving her a kiss on her cheek. “Thank you, Paps. Thank you everyone. I’m happy that you’re all okay.” Katherine said making them furrowed their forehead. “What happened?” Serafino asked seeing her worried face. “I had a nightmare again. He was there again.” Katherine said. “Who?” Drake asked with his clenched fist. “I don’t know him but he was also on the first nightmare I had.” Katherine said. “It’s just a dream, Kath.” Amber said. “Yes, I knew that but I have this feeling that he’s…” Katherine said but was interrupted by her grandfather. “No one will harm you or anyone of us. We will help and protect each other. We’re family and we’ll fight as one.” Serafino said making the rest smiled and then laughed because Hunter barked as if he understood what Serafino had said.

“What do you want to do today? It is your special day.” Drake asked. They were left by the others because they had to continue helping Celeste and her folks to put things on their new home. “Hhhmmm…” Katherine said and looked at Drake intently. “Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” Drake asked with a meaningful smile. “Nuh-uh, I’m thinking you should take a bath first because you really stinks then, I’ll shave your stubbles because it doesn’t suit you at all and then, we’ll sleep because your eyebugs are not making you handsome anymore.” Katherine said. “I would love that but first…” Drake said and Katherine was once again brought to the clouds with his loving kisses.
