Darkness Descends 2

Around, all around the shadows gather apart

My dread grows as the dagger of words,

Falls against my heart.

It severes me and darkly demands.

As my essence drips slowly

And falls directly into this land.

In unholy terror I flee,

When death hovers so close.

Now alone my cascading tears plea,

As they fall upon darkened and cold eyes.

Around, all around

The dark memories gather,

My dread grows as a tight crown

As an evenging old sword,

And falls against my naked old soul down.

It crushes me, and darkly my blue

Vitae essence drips into the sterile ground

In unholy terror I call your name,

While oblivion looms so tall.

Now alone, my fervent plea,

Falls upon cold eyes,

And this is your loving I moan.

“Pssst…” Gregory was startled when he heard someone calling him but he can’t see anyone beside the guards on his cell. “Pssst…” He hissed because of annoyance but his eyes went wide seeing Katherine at the corner of his cell. Katherine signalled Gregory not to make any sound. “How? What? Why?” Katherine wanted to laugh because of Gregory’s puzzled face. The guards looked back at him and he only gave them an awkward smile.

“Thank God your okay!” That was the first words that Katherine heard from Gregory’s mind link making her raised an eyebrow. “Thanks for saving me the other day.” Gregory said making Katherine smiled. “No worries.” Katherine said. “Why are you here?” Gregory asked curiously. “I’ve met Travis.” Katherine said that made Gregory stiffened. “Your more handsome than him.” Katherine said feeling Gregory’s uneasiness. “But he’s a lot stronger than me.” Katherine can feel the sarcasm on Gregory’s voice. “But I’m more stronger than him.” Katherine said making Gregory smiled. “Yeah, I already knew that.” Gregory said.

“How did you meet him?” Gregory asked and Katherine told him what happened after she and Hunter disappeared infront of him.

“He must be really shocked just like me to know that someone like you really exist.” Gregory said. “And I’m sure he’s making his way to our two older brothers to tell the bad news.” Gregory said. “Am I really a bad news to you?” Katherine asked. “Before I met you, my answer is yes but after facing you and treating us the way your doing right now, I guess our older brother told us a different story.” Gregory said. “A story?” Katherine asked.

“Why are you here!?” Their conversation was cut off with Drake’s angry tone. Because Katherine was attentively listening to Gregory, she wasn’t able to notice that the guards already saw her and immediately notified Drake. “Hehe, hi, Drake!” Katherine said showing her sweet smile to him but there’s no effect. “Get the hell out of there now, Katherine!” Drake said still angry with her. To avoid more conflict with Drake, she vanished quickly but told herself that she will come back for the “story” Gregory told her. Drake only gave Gregory a death glare before following Katherine.

“You are forbidden in going into that dungeon again!” Drake said with a loud voice. “We’re just talking, Drake. I’m just trying to dig more informations about them.” Katherine said. “Let the council do that! He’s dangerous!” Drake said. “And you know I can handle him.” Katherine is now feeling annoyed with Drake’s attitude. “No arguments! Don’t test my patience, Katherine! Don’t you dare go back to his cell, understood?” Drake said. “No! I will still talk to him!” Katherine yelled back. Drake narrowed his eyes but Katherine didn’t back off.

“Enough you two!” Because of their yelling, their friends, Serafino, Vladamair, even Hunter, woke up because of their loud voices. “What is going on here?” Serafino asked with a serious tone. “She came to the dungeon to see Gregory.” Drake said making Serafino looked at her granddaughter with disappointment in his eyes. “I’m just trying to ask him about the Sanguinarians.” Katherine explained. “Even so, you should not be alone with him. He’s a Sanguinarian, Kath, and we all knew that they’re after your life.” Serafino said. “But Gregory is not like them.” Katherine said. “And how sure are you?” Drake asked. “Because I can feel it.” Again the two looked at each other with their heads up.

“First lovers quarrel.” Athan whispered to Amber’s ear making her giggled. “Let’s see who surrender first.” Alaric said who’s standing behind the two. “I’m with Kath, of course.” Dawn said who joined their little chitchat. “I’m betting on Drake.” Blade said. “Go, Kath!” Thana said. “I’m with Drake.” Kieran said. “This is girl power!” Amdis said. “I’ll go with Kath.” Athan said making the boys looked at him not believing what he said. “What? Can’t you see that Drake is head over heels with his mate?” Athan said smiling. “Traitor!” Alaric said.

“All of you, go to sleep. We shall continue about this talk tomorrow when you both calm down.” Serafino said. “Hhhmmmppp!” Katherine gave an angry squint to Drake before leaving. Drake just looked at her back then rolled his eyes before leaving too. Their friends can’t help but giggle on the two childish behavior.
