Immortality’s Love - Chapter 52

I never believed in angels,

And this was plain to see.

Not even when one flew down

To Hell to set me free.

This angel spoke my name

And told me Heaven’s plan:

In order to save the world,

They’ll need the Righteous Man.

That I didn’t know what to do.

Then the angel took my hand

And said, :I have faith in you.”

‘Twas he who showed me how

To fulfill my destiny.

Katherine felt sore all over her body. Whenever she tried to move, she will feel pain especially on her lower part. When she opened her eyes, a smiling Drake welcomed her. “I hate you!” Katherine said with her hoarse voice. “What did I do?” Drake asked innocently. “I felt I have fight hundreds of vampires. I felt weak and drained.” Katherine said trying to rise from bed but was stopped by Drake’s tight embrace. “Stay here.” Drake said. “That’s not a good idea.” Katherine said looking at Drake’s erection. Drake laughed. “I can’t help it.” Drake said and a pillow was thrown on his face. “Come on, stay here. Promise I won’t do anything unless you want me too.” Drake said raising his brows alternately. Katherine glared at him making him laughed.

Drake and Katherine spent the whole day sleeping because they both felt exhausted. It was already dark outside when they both decided to freshen up but before going out the bath, they’ve shared another two rounds of making love.

When the two love birds entered the dining hall, all eyes are on them. Katherine blushed when her friends are looking at her with teasing eyes. “Drake’s scent is all over you.” Amber said. “Yeah, you did enjoy each other’s company for two whole days!” Dawn said. “We thought we’ll for another two days before you get out.” Thana said. “So, how was it?” Amdis said and Katherine rolled her eyes. Drake pulled a chair for her and he sat beside her.

“Where’s Paps?” Katherine said looking on her grandfather’s chair. “He’s with Lord Lazarus, Lord Orpheus, and Lord Raul.” Athan said. “Where?” Katherine asked again. “Fishing.” Alaric said. “Fishing?” Drake repeated what Alaric said. “Yeah, he wanted to divert his anger.” Blake said looking at Drake and the latter understood what his friend meant. “Tell Drake we will talk when I come back. That was his message before he left.” Kieran said. “Oh…” Drake said feeling a little tense. “Don’t worry, he already knew that you have marked each other.” Amber said making the two furrowed their foreheads. “My gosh, you were both so loud! Ohhh…ahhh…Katherine… Drake… were all over the place!” Dawn said making the two blushed hard. “Next time that you decide your sexy time, please be quite.” Thana said with a teasing smile. “Can we just eat?” Katherine asked making the rest laughed hard.

“Lord Luther, everyone is ready. We’re only waiting for your command.” His second in command said. “Tomorrow, at the break of dawn, we will get her.” Luther said. “Let me lead them, I will bring her to you.” Travis said. “No! I will get her.” Luther said sending a death glare to his brother. Travis clenched his fist because of annoyance.

“Drake, to my office now!” Serafino’s loud voice boomed througout the house. Drake and the rest were in the living room chatting with each other. Drake stood up. “I’m coming with you.” Katherine said holding his hand. “No, stay here. I’ll talk to him myself.” Drake said. “But…” Katherine said. “Don’t worry, it will be fine.” Drake said and gave her a kiss on her lips. “Goodluck!” The rest said at once. “Shut up!” Drake said making the rest laughed.

Drake was surprised seeing his father, Lord Orpheus, and Lord Raul were also inside the room. “Sit!” Serafino ordered him with his serious tone making Drake gulped.

“Elder, please go easy on him.” Lazarus said looking at his son. “I’ll try.” Serafino said looking at Drake. “Don’t break his bones.” Orpheus said. “Just be gentle if you really want to.” Raul said. Drake wanted to dash at the moment but he knew he will only make the situation worst. When Serafino stood from his seat, Drake stiffened. “I love you, Kath.” He mind linked Katherine. “What is happening there?” Katherine said using the mind linked. “Just always remember that I love you.” Drake said and Katherine didn’t waste anytime, she vanished infront of her friends. “Paps really got them both.” Athan said and the rest burst out laughing.

“Paps!?” Katherine appeared infront of the four lords in no time. “What are you doing here?” Serafino asked. “What are you doing to him?” Katherine asked checking on Drake. “Get out!” Serafino said. “No, I’m not leaving him here!” Katherine said having an eye to eye challenge to her grandfather. “You’re disobeying me, Katherine!” Serafino said. “I love him, Paps. You knew that we’re mates. Why are you angry knowing that we’ve already marked each other?” Katherine asked. “That’s it!” Serafino said and Drake and Katherine heard the four lords’ laughters.

“What’s this all about?” Katherine asked with her raised brow. “Well, I just wanted to hear from both of you that you love each other. Action speaks louder that words but sometimes words are more understandable that actions.” Serafino said and Katherine rolled her eyes. “Just promise me one thing, Drake.” Serafino said. “I will love Katherine until my last breath, Paps.” Drake said. “I already knew that.” Serafino said making Drake furrowed his forehead. “Give me a dozen of grandchildren.” Serafino said. “Paps!?” Katherine said with her face as red as a tomato. “Sure, Paps!” Drake said and Katherine hit his shoulders. The rest laughed seeing Katherine blushing face.
