- Chapter 91: Third Horcrux - Destroyed
The snake’s gigantic stone face was moving. Horrorstruck, Harry saw his mouth opening, wider and wider, to make a huge black hole. And something was stirring inside the statue’s mouth. Something was slithering up from its depths.
Harry felt his spine-tingling and he knew, he needed to run. He picked himself up and backed away until he hit the dark Chamber wall, and then he bolted towards the entrance.
He kept thinking he should inform Dumbledore about this. And for that, he must escape. However, something huge hit the stone floor of the Chamber. Harry felt it shudder — he knew what was happening, he could sense it behind. Then he heard Riddle’s hissing voice:
“Kill him.”
The basilisk was moving toward Harry; he could hear its heavy body slithering heavily across the dusty floor. However, instead of looking back, Harry began to run blindly sideways, to find some cover under the snake, knowing he can’t outrun a big monster.
Harry suddenly tripped and fell straight down from the raised platform. He fell hard onto the stone ground below and could taste his blood inside his mouth.
Voldemort was laughing at the trapped and helpless saviour of the wizarding world.
“HA HA HA… The great Harry Potter who can’t even run straight wants to defeat me!”
“Your luck ran out boy!” Voldemort shouted from above the Platform and Harry who had fallen down suddenly raised his head up and saw the large shadow of the Basilisk on the wall in front of him.
He knew he had to do something otherwise, he will never get out of here alive.

Neville sneaked his way around the statues and found one of the fabled Deathly Hallows thrown on the ground. Yes, it was just discarded a few feet away from him on the ground.
Half-soaked in the dirty pool of water and half-soiled from dust. Neville raised his hand and used the flying charm to bring the cloak to him.
“Harry truly loved his father but he must have never washed this cloak!” Neville feeling nauseating still tied that invisible cloak around himself carefully and walked silently towards the fallen Daphne Greengrass.
“Where is it?” Neville moved Daphne’s body sideways but could not find the diary. He rummaged through her clothes but there was nothing.
“Where the fuck…” Neville was cursing slowly when he saw something black at the statue’s foot in front of him.
“Of course, it is thrown like that. How else the great Harry Potter will find the most important weapon to defeat Voldy!” Neville cursing under his breath walked hurriedly and picked the diary up.
The diary felt revolting. It was like every fibre of his being was telling him that it was dangerous and he should destroy it.
Before he could decide what to do with it, he heard Voldemort laughing like a lunatic.
“Now, what?” Neville thought and he saw the drama happening far from him.
The Basilisk was moving towards Harry Potter and was ready to attack him. Neville moved his head around to check if the Phoenix is coming from any tunnel and the plot hole truly appeared.
Strange music suddenly flooded the entire chamber of secrets. Strange, scary and very loud music silencing everything else inside the chamber and then…
“BOOOOM!”
A large flame suddenly erupted on top of the snake’s head in front of Harry Potter and the Phoenix appeared before flying down towards Harry.
Neville saw the scene from far and felt like the entire universe in Harry Potter’s world is helping Harry. But then again, this is a world dedicated to the great adventures of Harry Potter.
Shaking his head, he picked up that diary and walked closer and closer to the serpent king. Invisible to everyone around the room, holding the Horcrux and his Grimoire floating around him.
Neville kept his emotions in check otherwise his intent might leak and in wizarding world, intent is the source of magic. If his intention is revealed too early, he will draw attention to himself for no reason.
As if his luck was helping him, Voldemort had no time to focus around the chamber. Seeing that Phoenix, he knew Dumbledore might come next if didn’t hurry.
“Kill Him!”

“Fawkes” Harry cried to the Phoenix and Phoenix lightly pressed his shoulders giving him confidence.
Harry saw the shadow of the snake was moving towards him and he started crawling below the platform, keeping himself hidden from Basilisk.
The Basilisk could smell Harry very clearly and slithered his way towards him at a rapid speed.
Harry felt the shadow increasing in size and the danger approaching him. Fawkes watched for a minute and then it flew away to fight the Serpent king.
“AAAHKK!” Hawkes attacked Basilisk on his eyes and Basilisk swiftly fought back. Basilisk moved his head around and using his tail he tried to attack Fawkes.
While the beasts were fighting, Voldemort was unable to do anything. He tried to search for the fallen wand that he lost in his fight but somehow it had disappeared.
Harry listened to the beasts fighting and he tried to take a look. He had no idea that if he saw Basilisk directly with his eyes, he might die at the next moment.
Harry saw Basilisk flicked Phoenix away and shifted his head towards him again. Harry ducked under the platform before Basilisk could lay his eyes on him and then something hit him on his head.
“Ouch!” Harry rubbed his head and saw a black diary in front of him. He had no idea where it came from but the diary was flipping its covers like it was trying to fly away.
Harry felt intuitively that this diary could be important and he grabbed it but then the shadow suddenly attacked and he panicked.
He threw the diary straight back to the huge snakes and the Snake simply bit the diary hard.
“NOOOOOOOOO!”
Voldemort who was on the floor, cried in deep pain and agony.
“This is not possible. Why? Why….I fail on killing a boy…” Voldemort kept crying and shouting before his spirit became blackened and then it blasted into smithereens.
