Indestructible God King - Chapter 175.2 Immortal Ice (2/2)
Back at the Dragon Gate Assembly venue!
The battle between the righteous and the demonic factions ended with the Demon Sovereign’s alleged demise. Atop the God Wang Tower—the Snake King and the group of demonic sect disciples immediately retreated along with Zi Bufan. Although the righteous faction still had Chen Tianyuan, Mo Sanshan, and Zi Chongshan, neither of them continued their attacks. Chen Tianyuan descended on the tower’s rooftop at the moment.
“Where is Wang Ke?” He asked with a frown.
“I… don’t know. I have no idea where he ran off to!” Zhang Zhengdao answered.
“Hmm?” Chen Tianyuan felt puzzled.
Mo Sanshan walked over and said, “Sect Lord, your disciple is colluding with the demonic sect. He’s definitely up to no good!”
However, Tie Liuyun interjected with a stare, “Hall Lord Mo, my junior brother Wang Ke is an upright man; how is he colluding with the demonic sect? Your scheming with the demonic sect almost killed us all. All of us would have died if not for Wang Ke having built this tower here!”
“That’s right! Although I’m not a disciple of the Heavenly Wolf Sect, I must also stand up for Brother Wang. He’s been so thoughtful toward us in every way! Or else we would be dead by now. Hall Lord Mo, if you dare slander Brother Wang again, I will definitely request our Sect Lord to reason things out with the Heavenly Wolf Sect, even if this means getting punished back in my sect!”
“That’s right. You wanted to sacrifice us, yet you say that Brother Wang is wrong for having rescued us? I will also request my Sect Lord to settle things with your West Wolf Hall!”
“You have no idea how much Brother Wang sacrificed for us! You really don’t how hard it’s been for him!”
“Sect Lord Chen, if you punish Wang Ke, we will surely protest outside your Heavenly Wolf Sect!”
………………..
………………..
………..
All the righteous disciples rescued by Wang Ke immediately began to speak up for Wang Ke; Mo Sanshan didn’t know how to continue with his accusations. Damn, did Wang Ke give them some kind of drug?
“Hall Lord Mo, you tricked the Demon Sovereign. Why didn’t you tell me about this earlier? Instead you asked Zi Chongshan to lure me into this setup?” Chen Tianyuan looked at Mo Sanshan and asked.
The latter’s face froze, “I did this because I knew you are too honorable and principled; you would never participate in a scheme like this. But to eliminate the demonic scourge, I had no choice but to ask for Zi Chongshan’s help! Back then…!”
“Humph, save your petty tricks to yourselves!” Chen Tianyuan reprimanded sternly.
“Understood!’ Mo Sanshan acknowledged with a helpless smile.
“What poison did you drug the Demon Sovereign with? How is it that even he can’t expel it quickly?” Chen Tianyuan wondered. It was awfully rare for Astral Infant cultivators to be poisoned, as most would be basically immune. He was wondering what could have affected the demon leader so badly.
“It was ‘Immortal Ice’!” Mo Sanshan answered.
“Immortal Ice? Isn’t that… Legend has it that Immortal Ice is made from all kinds of ancient Frost Worms. Its extreme frostiness can even affect immortals! Of course, that’s exaggerated hearsay. But even Astral Infants can die with Immortal Ice! Where did you get it? I heard it sells for at least three million pounds of spirit stones even outside the Ten-thousand Great Mountains! Were you that willing to pour out all your savings for this?” Chen Tianyuan was surprised. Many Astral Infants were incapable of saving up such wealth, yet Mo Sanshan had spent it all that, just for a bit of expensive poison?
“For the sake of killing the Demon Sovereign, spending some money is worth it. Of course, I didn’t buy it on my own. There’s still the Golden Crow Sect Lord Zi Chong Shan! He also contributed!” Mo Sanshan answered.
“So you’re saying that the demonic sect’s Se Yutian also paid a share?” Chen Tianyuan asked grimly. Mo Sanshan could only smile in silence.
“Humph!” Chen Tianyuan snorted.
“It was a splurge, but at least we succeeded!” Mo Sanshan said.

On the Miasmic Sea.
Wang Ke had passed out because of the twister that dragged him there and had no idea where he was!
A woman was hugging him while floating on the vast ocean…
“Cold… I feel so cold!” The woman was shivering. Her head was buried in Wang Ke’s arms, while her body was freezing; the bone-piercing cold was making her shiver. Some frost began to gather on her head shortly after, then the frost turned to ice. Her entire body was eventually frozen, and the cold continued to spread through her feet in the water, freezing the seawater around them.
More and more ice surrounded them, quickly growing until a massive glacier was formed, surrounding the pair after some time.
The frost effect was intensifying, ravaging the woman and making the glacier grow further. The woman could only sense a tinge of warmth as she clung to Wang Ke; even so, her entire body was like a lump of ice, as though sealed inside a cryo-coffin. The cold flooded into Wang Ke’s body, aiming directly toward Wang Ke’s core cradle.
“Baaam!”
The turbid essence Qi inside his core cradle sensed the intrusion and jerked into action to expel the cold out of Wang Ke’s system. At the same time, it caused a chain reaction with the turbid Qi outside his core cradle.
“Baaam!”
The turbid Qi leaking out of Wang Ke’s pores was set aflame, turning him into a man in flames, burning brightly atop the glacier. The rapid burning was consuming his turbid essence Qi, but the spiritual Qi surrounding him made up for it. The flame was not that excessive, such that the consumption and recovery had reached an equilibrium.
Wang Ke was like a flaming torch; he warmed himself and melted the surrounding glacier with the remnant heat. As for the woman who clung to him, the sudden flame burst gave her a ray of hope, right before she was completely frozen.
The flame was burning her, melting the stubborn frost covering her body. Meanwhile, the surging frost from within her kept trying to freeze her. And thus, the heating and freezing quickly struck a balance.
Wang Ke and the woman continued their slumber atop the massive glacier that floated aimlessly on the Miasmic Sea.
