Into The Illius Hiatus - Chapter 0.2

Illia, otherwise known as The Illius: a continent on a mostly unexplored world, where after countless battles were fought, the humans were eventually pushed back and forced into to different cities.

In this world one is born as a mortal, however at the age of 13 everyone goes through an awakening ceremony that allows for an individual to dive into the Void of the Mind. In this mind realm an individual searches for their personal “inner beast’, otherwise known as their beast soul. Upon finding it, the individual must conquer it, which is generally easy, and absorb it into one’s own soul realm.

After it is absorbed into the soul realm of an individual a tattoo forms on the individual’s body which depicts the beast they tamed. Through this tattoo the newfound beast tamer is able to summon it to fight for them, as well as use it to channel strength and magics.

As one progresses further in their cultivation they can tame more beasts by slaying them and absorbing their souls, which manifest themselves as tattoos on the individual’s body. Furthermore, an individual is limited to the amount of monsters they can tame. Only one monster per the following body parts: Chest, back, head, shoulder, forearm, thigh and calf. Allowing for a normal individual, at peak, to have control over 7 different monsters.
