I have the basic form of the kodachi, now I need to bend it to form the best angle of a kodachi, as it is not perfectly linear.

Like a katana, the kodachi has only one edge and I need to hammer a bit before start grinding and hand scraping a bit to form the blade itself, but a bit of that is needed also on the other side of the edge, because it may arise problems when piercing or slashing…

Now that really seems a proper kodachi of 45cm I need to use an item called that I have in my Inventory as a random item and cover the blade before heating it at 820C and cooling it in the water for 3 seconds and tempered at 200C

This part is the problematic one because if the process is made in the right way, the weapon will have increased sharpness and will be hardened, but a misstep causes the destruction of it.

Whew… now that there aren’t anymore troubling process, we only need to ground sharp the edge, remove the clay and polishing the blade with a whetstone.

After a meticulously polish, the rest is only a cosmetic polish for the handle. I can only polish a bit the handle and this might be the end, but it is best to use leather to cover it. In a pinch, there is the possibility of the sweats to make the kodachi slip from the hand, so a steady grip might be the deciding factor on a life and death situation.

I only created weapons from monster drops, so forging one is definitely different, and I think this is the best weapon I can make for now.
