Isabel The Lightning Princess - Chapter 24 I See Youve Me
“What in the devil’s name happened to you guys?” Livia asked concerned.
“Well, we got into a fight with her” Melia said.
“A fight with who?”
Melia raised her hand and pointed at Isabel.
Shock was registered on Livia and Phoebe’s faces.
“You did what?” Livia asked
“What did I miss?” Ariana ignored her friend’s outburst and asked Jasper.
“Well they apparently fought with her” he briefly explained, more like stated the obvious.
“What exactly happened? Can somebody answer me?” Phoebe bellowed out.
“Well we caught her trying to steal from us” Caspian finally answered after all the silence.
“What? Isabel?” Ariadna turned to look at her.
“Whoa, the princess stole!” Phoebe said with a bit of surprise laced in her tone.
“I needed to change clothes to blend in and well, I didn’t see anyone, neither did I know anyone nor could I trust anyone I meet. So I borrowed it.”
“Its still called stealing” Melia spat out those words from her mouth.
One could notice the malice in them. Jasper glared at her in response and she backed down.
“So I was caught, one thing led to another, the fight began and by the way, I was going to exchange mine for the one I took.”
“Hmm, call it whatever you want you stole.”
“Do we wanna play that game, Melia? How about the guys planning on beating me, tying me up, taking my money and kill me at the end?”
Everyone turned to the group of teens in shock. Jasper was peculiarly angry at this point.
“If you hadn’t stole, then that wouldn’t have been an option” Caspian shot back.
“Boy, boy, you guys really wanna go over this again? I beat you up before, I’ll do it again trust me.”
The next minute, there was some heated glare between the kids and Catherine and Jasper didn’t sit this one out. They wouldn’t let anyone talk down on their friend, let alone hurt her.
“Wow, feisty one. I can see Queen Isabella in her” Livia finally spoke.
“Okay that’s enough everyone, no one is beating anyone up anymore. She is the princess, show some respect” Phoebe quickly intervened.
Soon enough, the tension in the atmosphere died down.
“That’s enough, I am sure you all would be great friends in the nearest future” Ariana assured.
“I am tired, we all are. Let’s all get along okay” Ariadna voiced out.
“My manners, let us all go inside. You all can bath and have a change of clothes and we can do some catching up. I bet Vita would be thrilled that you are back” Livia said happily but was cut short in her sentence….
“Who would I be thrilled to see?” A feminine voice called from their back.
Heads turn… “Vita”
“Mum”
“Oh my God, is that? No, wait… ” she looks at every new person one by one, till her eyes landed on Ariana and Ariadna.
“Oh my goodness… Ariana, Ariadna… ” she squealed as she ran to hug her friends.
“Vita” they both giggled and happy at the reunion.
She pulled them in for a tight hug each. After some time she let go and looked at the others.
“These must be your children. Ah, I see you’ve met everyone” she said to Ariana and Ariadna.
“Yes Vita, its so good to see you.”
“Likewise, do you mind introducing them to me?”
“Why yes Vita, meet Jasper my son and Catherine, Ariadna’s daughter” Ariana introduced.
“Wow, they have grown so much and cute” she complimented.
“Who is the young lady by the way?” She asked pointing to Isabel.
“This is Isabel, Crown Princess and heir to Gandera, the Lightning child” Ariadna introduced.
“My apologies your highness” she bowed to greet her. “Why doesn’t she look like her parents though? I could see the resemblance when looking at your kids, but for hers no.”
That was Vita, the one with the keen eyes. She can recognize a person even in the distance.
“Aiden and Elizabeth thought it wise to change her appearance to keep her safe.”
“Oh nice” she turned her head away from them and called, “Oh Melia.”
“Yes mother”
“I am sure you have met, now be nice to each other okay”.
“Yes mother”
“Children, meet Vita Arthur, Guardian of the Gandera and controller of the water element.”
“Nice to meet you Lady Vita” they chorused.
“My pleasure.”
“Please let’s go in” Phoebe called out.
“Not so fast” as a masculine voice called from a bit far from where they stood.
All heads turned in the direction.
“Not so fast” the voice called out again.
