Isabel The Lightning Princess - Chapter 32 Settled In 2
“Ariana, Ariadna go check it too. We have done some little changes since you left” Vita explained.
“Sure” the ladies replied and went in, leaving the stunned children outside.
As soon as they got in, they were so bewildered that they could not speak. “You like?” A voice asked from behind them as she moved forward, it was Vita.
“How can it… ”
“Be!” Ariadna finished Ariana’s sentence as they turned to look at their friends.
By now everyone had entered through the door and took in the scenery.
“I don’t understand, how did you get this place to be this big?” Ariadna asked her friends still having her perplexed and confused look on.
“It’s like a mini town!” Ariana couldn’t help but say.
“A small but grandiose village if you ask me” Catherine added.
“True, we tried saving most fighters that survived the battle and some citizens” Vita chipped in as she smiled at her friends.
“How did you expand this place so much? When we were here, it was just that duplex there” she pointed at the big duplex in front of them.
“True Ariana. With magic, we expanded the dimension here and did a coverage in the sky, so whatever magic is being used, those outside this forest or around here won’t notice it” Livia explained a smile on her face.
“Also we could build more houses, giving us a grand small village. Some of your people are here Isabel, more than those you met outside” Phoebe said placing a hand reassuringly on Isabel’s shoulder.
She had a worried expression as she gazed at the small village, but put up a smile at Phoebe’s words.
“Thanks Lady Phoebe.”
“Call me Aunt Phoebe. It’s Aunt Phoebe to you three” she corrected Isabel.
“Okay Aunt Phoebs” Isabel and Catherine chorused.
“My, my, these kids catch on so well. I love the feel, Aunt Phoebs” she used her right hand to hold her chin in a thoughtful manner and they all laughed at her funny look.
“Come on darlings, let’s take you for a tour” Vita winked at th and led the way.
Although on the outside, it looked like a normal house, but once granted access through the door, it was a sight to behold.
It felt like another realm entirely and Isabel and her friends could see the grand culture imprinted in the houses of their people.
Some of the houses were bungalows, some duplexes, the walls had different intricate designs on them and they glowed with different shining lights.
“Wow” Catherine muttered under her breath as they walked around.
“Are those lights…?”
“Yes Isabel, they are all powered by magic. We wanted to give the people a feel of what Gandera was before the war” Livia explained to them.
“Wait a minute, you have a health centre, school and some industries here?” Jasper arched his brows at Livia as he spoke.
Livia just smiled and nodded her her head. Vita took the cue and explained further.
“You see, we have been here for eighteen years, we needed to survive, so we created some things. We have a bakery, a school for our young, a healing centre, a water factory, where we process water and send to all houses, a mini market and the main building.”
“The main building!?” They all chorused.
“Yes, the very first one built in the time of Queen Isabella and King Alexander. The first big bungalow you saw when you entered. The duplexes are for all these things I mentioned earlier. The bungalows are where we live” she walked on as she spoke with the other guardians tailing behind them.
After walking for more than an hour they finally stopped.
“I’m tired and famished” Catherine whispered to Jasper.
“Same, haven’t slept since and all these walking… ” He shook his head, “not good for us.”
“I heard that, well we have come to an end of our tour, so any questions?” Vita asked the children.
“Where are we going to be staying now that we are here?” Isabel asked.
“You would be staying at IA” she clasped her hands together as she announced.
“IA?… “
