Isekai Kaeri no Ossan wa, Fusei Sukiru de Fathercon Musume-tachi o Tororori ni - Chapter 29
Chapter 29: The Two People
The Koushien draftee, Nakamatsu had increased to two.
Into two people.
A very similar youth appeared and started claiming to be Nakamatsu.
They had the same voice, same gesture, and the speed of their pitch were also similar at 160 kilometers per hour.
I don’t get it.
Another person is increasing in number.
A second record-breaking sixteen-years-old professional Shogi player, Komai of the 4-dan, too, also appeared.
Another Komai unexpectedly appeared, insisting that he’s the real person.
Both Komai’s Shogi skills were also similar.
What’s similar was that both geniuses were a victim of a random attack.
Several days ago, they were stabbed from the back in the middle of the night and they got their clothes shredded.
Several hours later, their mysterious other self appeared.
The Prodigy Multiplication Incident.
That’s what the newspaper and the TV news has been reporting all around the clock; it’s been drowning in such situation recently.
The thing about me being an UFO oji-san already didn’t matter at this point.
It would be better if I don’t get forgotten anyways
I mean, the me right now is considered to be in the middle point position between a magician and an entertainer.
It was a good time to make a profit out of appearance fee, but suddenly this incident happened.
This would definitely gain the attention of everyone wouldn’t it? The interest in me would grow thin then, wouldn’t it? My job would decrease then, wouldn’t it?
Keisuke: “I wish this would be resolved quickly…”
While I was lying down watching the evening news, Angelica was nibbling at a piece of senbei.
All the while she was lying face-down on the bed, reading a fashion magazine.
Today, she’s wearing a black camisole as a top with a white short pants.
Angelica is a very beautiful girl.
The blonde locks spread across her shoulder were soft, and her eyes were deep blue.
She had a thin build, and her limbs were long.
Yet there was some volume in her breasts, and comparing to her height that was about 150 centimeters, the disparity was huge.
This girl that is a “collection of only the good points of a white person, downsized” being in my room made it look like I’m in a scene of a Hollywood movie.
It’s been two weeks after Angelica came to Japan.
She had managed to totally integrate with modern society, and she was able to receive deliveries in my stead. She could also perfectly pay the rent as well.
I’ve told her much about the social system, but it’s her youth that helped her learn more.
She was in an age where she has a high capacity for adaptation.
Let’s discuss about this matter with her young brain, shall we?
I hope she can give me a good answer.
Keisuke: “What do you think about this incident, Ange?”
Angelica: “Hmm—…”
Keisuke: “Ange?”
Angelica: “What is i—t?”
She lifted her face from the magazine and tilted her head.
Did she not hear the sound of the television?
Keisuke: “Uh, this, right here. The clone of a genius sports athlete and a Shogi player suddenly appeared.”
Angelica: “Isn’t it a doppelganger?”
Keisuke: “I told you there aren’t any spirits in this world…doppelgangers are spirits, right?”
Angelica: “They are. Also they usually can’t speak. They usually silently open and close some doors or something.”
Keisuke: “These clones are pretty talkative in their interview though.”
Angelica: “What are they then?”
Keisuke: “I’m asking you that.”
I asked Angelica as she wiped the remains of food from around her mouth with her fingers.
Angelica: “Aren’t they probably their long-lost twins?”
Keisuke: “…Well, probably the mass media would pass it off like that.”
The parents couldn’t raise both children and sent one of them away for adoption, one of them became famous and found his brother from the media.
Excited and unable to keep their composure, they introduced themselves in a strange way.
That’s probably how the world is putting it into conclusion.
Keisuke: “But if that’s the case, then the parents would have confirmed that though, right?”
That’s right.
Both Nakamatsu’s parents and Komai of 4-dan’s parents denied the assertion that they had twins.
There’s no mistake, I only gave birth to this child alone, they said.
Keisuke: “This doesn’t make any sense.”
Is this an issue connected to the other world after all?
When I thought they might be aiming for my life again, I feel depressed.
But currently, there were no damage to me.
Also, I’ve never heard of a power to multiply people in the other world as well.
As I was busy thinking, Angelica said “But it looks convenient though, isn’t it?”
“If suddenly there’s another person, then you could make a lot of progress, don’t you think? Wouldn’t it be like having dad’s Double Action skill active continuously?”
“Is it though.”
But Double Action is a bit different than a clone.
It’s like having another me helping me out in some way. That’s my personal opinion.
Also it’s not like I’m physically splitting into two.
Angelica: “Besides, it said that the number of geniuses are increasing, right? Isn’t that a good thing?”
Keisuke: “Yeah, well, that’s…no no, it’s not good. It’s definitely not good. If another you suddenly just pops up in front of you like poof, then what would you do about it? Your identities would be messed up.”
They could be troubled, thinking to themselves like “what am I?”
Angelica: “I thought If another me suddenly appeared, I would leave the role of being dad’s daughter to her.”
Keisuke: “……what the hell?”
“Angelica: And then, I will be in charge of fulfilling the role of your wife.”
While she said that, Angelica rests her head on my shoulder from behind.
It’s a sign that she wants to be pestered.
Angelica: “Da~ddy~”
Keisuke: “What?”
Angelica: “……I wanna have sex with you.”
Keisuke: “No.”
Absolutely no way, I asserted.
This is the result of hitting the limit of her favorability points and even breaking through it.
This is even worse than before.
Angelica: “Da~ddy~, why noot?”
Without hesitating, Angelica pushed her breasts against my back and circled her arms around my neck.
Would you at least hesitate?
Angelica: “Even though I’m pressing on you this much…ah, don’t tell me…is it possible that your manly functions has withered or something?”
Keisuke: “Of course not!”
I’m extremely healthy. I’m not at that age just yet.
Even as I remembered the sensation of Angelica sticking to me like a glue, the mentality of the Steel Hero allowed me to endure.
We have to move out quickly.
If this keeps up, my body won’t last.
Angelica hates it, but let’s separate the prayer room.
For that to happen I need to get some income, but the interest of the general public is directed toward the multiplication incident.
I’m in trouble.
I’m very much in trouble.
Should I just bluntly resolve this incident just for the sake of money?
If I resolved it quickly, people would be interested back to me again anyways, and I’ll get my income back.
Angelica: “Dad,”
Keisuke: “What is it, I’m not doing anything weird, okay?”
Angelica: “I’m not interested in doing it with someone who’s not interested. As a replacement, can I ask for another selfish request?”
Keisuke: “…do you want to buy some clothes or something?”
Even though I bought some for her yesterday.
I’m quite a spoiling father after all.
Angelica: “I want to watch a movie.”
Keisuke: “Again? Well, it’s alright though.”
Quite a handful, aren’t you? I said as I switched on the DVD player.
Angelica: “I mean, news are boring, and the other programs are boring too.”
Just like how she looks, her sense is similar to that of a foreigner’s.
That’s why she’s not very interested in Japanese television programs.
She only paid attention to the programs where I was in it while and ignores other programs with a face that says what is this?
So when I was out working, she would usually be bored, so recently I borrowed some Western movies from the rental shop.
A foreigner would be most amused by a foreign entertainment.
Angelica’s favorite was a famous fantasy movie based on an original novel.
The ones where there were elves and hobbits wanting to throw away a ring.
She felt that the movie gave her the sense of security she felt back home.
Well, she was born in that sort of world after all.
Keisuke: “Do you want to watch fantasy movies again?”
I rummaged through the bag from the rental store while I asked Angelica.
I borrowed an action movie for myself, while the four remaining disks are all what Angelica’s interested in.
At least I hope she’s interested.
Thus, with my heart full of paternal love, I took the movie about a Hobbit’s adventure, but Angelica was interested in a completely different title.
Angelica: “I want this.”
Keisuke: “Eh? But that isn’t for Ange.”
Angelica: “I mean this guy has a nice body.”
Keisuke: “……”
Angelica: “I wanna watch this.”
The this that Angelica meant was an action movie I borrowed to watch for myself.
What’s portrayed in the case was the muscular lead actor.
His upper arm that was covered by his thin clothes were bulging.
His well-developed swelling biceps also showed some veins, so he truly do have a nice body.
……how foreign is Angelica’s taste anyways.
If it’s a young Japanese girl, she’d have preferred a tall and thin handsome man.
So is she interested in muscular men? Is that so. Well, generally the girls from the other world would be like that.
“I’m not cheating, you know. Don’t you also have a fine body, dad? I love dad’s body best, you know. But, you see, this…here. Don’t you find it interesting? I’m just studying, okay? Studying. It’s just a simple curiosity, that’s all.”
Nice body, huh.
I mean, in the course of the 17 years I spent being a hero in the other world, my body was quite trained.
I’m quite firm from neck down.
But that was just about everything that one could praise about my appearance.
Keisuke: “Don’t you ever say that you love your dad’s body best anywhere else, okay?”
People would misunderstand if you do.
After urged Angelica with my warning, I followed her request.
I inserted the disk with the brawny lead actor and pressed the play button.
After they showed the names of the production companies, the title appeared.
The title was Rambo: First Blood.
It was an action movie released in 1982.
It was a masterpiece in the history of film that showed the griefs of a soldier returning from the Vietnam war.
He was a hero in the battlefield, but he was feared when he returned to his home town.
He couldn’t find a job, and he couldn’t get used to the peaceful society.
He was troubled by the flashbacks of torture and battles countless times, causing him to retaliate with full power against even the slightest malice.
That puts him an internal conflict where he doesn’t want to have his body and heart that has been changed for war.
It wasn’t really an amusing movie, but rather something made with the intention to portray the PTSD the soldiers went through.
I didn’t borrow this movie just because I want to enjoy it.
The protagonist is similar to me.
Without thinking, I just borrowed it on impulse.d
In the screen, the protagonist soon killed a sheriff.
It was a problem that could have been resolved by talking, but it turned into a murder case because of excessive self-defense.
Angelica: “It’s…quite a violent movie, isn’t it?”
Keisuke: “Yeah.”
Angelica: “He’s a soldier who’s used to the bone by his country, huh?”
Keisuke: “Yeah.”
Angelica: “…dad? Your responses are dull, you know?”
Keisuke: “Yeah.”
That’s right isn’t it. As soon as someone picks a fight, you’d immediately resort to violence, right?
You couldn’t find a job, right?
No matter how great your physical strength is, it’s impossible. You torment your own life yourself.
You chose your own rough path, and by the time you realized, your life is in shambles.
And that’s the end of the life of a returning soldier who did not receive an appropriate care.
…Am I going to be like that too? Is it that PTSD thing? I thought.
I couldn’t peel my eyes off of the screen.
The fallen, isolated protagonist overlaps with me who just returned to Japan.
Before I realized it, I have been lost in the screen. The story that spanned for an hour thirty minutes felt like it was only 10 minutes.
It felt like an instant.
Angelica: “Hawaa—…this couldn’t be a true story, right? …eh? Dad? Are you crying!?”
I was taken aback when I heard what she said.
I put my hand on my cheek, and it was utterly wet.
Angelica: “Is it probably…because I was leering at another man!?”
Keisuke: “That’s not it.”
Damn it, I was empathizing too much with the protagonist that I cried.
Perhaps it’s because we’re both experienced soldiers.
If it’s him who has been killing enemies in the quagmire of the battlefield, he would understand, right? That person would be an old man in today’s Japan though.
Angelica: “……did you perhaps remember something bad?”
Yeah that’s about it, I said while wiping the corner of my eyes.
Perhaps I should be getting a mental counseling.
But what am I doing now?
A thirty-year-old is crying in front of his daughter who’s in her teens. How disgraceful.
When I reached out my hand for the tissue box, Angelica got off the bed.
She silently circled around to my front and wordlessly hugged me.
Poof, a soft sensation enveloped my face.
She’s pressing her breasts against my face. Her right hand is stroking my head.
Keisuke: “Oi, what are you planning to do?”
If she does this, it’ll look like a mother comforting her son.
Even though I’m a proper adult and she’s just a brat.
Angelica: “You have me, dad, so it’s okay.”
Keisuke: “Stop it, let me go. You’re not my mother you know?”
Angelica: “I’m dad’s daughter, dad’s wife, as well as dad’s mother. I’m also your elder sister and your little sister too.”
Keisuke: “…what was that?”
Angelica: “I will fulfill a~ll of the female family member roles for you. That’s why, it’s alright.”
I don’t quite understand about what is alright.
In the first place, I think this is even less alright.
But still.
For some reason, it felt comfortable.
