Journey Of An Unknown - Chapter 11
Shi Jian disappeared from his right hand. Zou Shen felt the sword inside himself hovering in the nothingness inside of him.
He felt sorry as there should be something inside of him to give his dear Shi Jian a home, but he was not even 1st step of Mortal Human Realm.
‘Wait for a few seconds I will form something for the time being in this empty void inside of me.’ He spoke to Shi Jian through his mind.
He stood in his spot meditating then sat down slowly in a meditation posture as he knew would break through to the 1st Step of the Mortal Realm. Ren Song also felt like Zou Shen was about to make a breakthrough. He immediately set a up a barrier around the shop, separating the area from the city. No one in this city could break this barrier or come into unless Ren Song himself let the person enter inside. He made the barrier invisible so that no one would notice that a barrier was set up or else it would signal to the strong cultivators in the city something was going on. He came down the air and landed next to Zou Shen, he looked at Zou and then the destruction caused to the right side of the backyard.
Ren Song was still scared, he realized how foolish he had been thinking of using the swords power for the Iron Mountain Empire. He now knew if the sword didn’t willingly submit the empire then forcing it would result in the destruction of the Iron Mountain Empire that the Ren Clan was sworn to protect for eternity.
This sword would choose its owner so when he looked at Zou Shen, he remembered what his grandfather had told him when he was just a child.
“My dear Song I still remember the time when I was shown the sword by my father the founder of our Ren Family. It looked like a simple sword with an otherworldly design. It still looks like it has no power. I wanted to own the sword and slay my enemies with it, the sword would never give of even a hint of power, it would never feel strong in my hands.
My sword techniques which you look up to very much were nothing when using the sword. The sword would not bend to my will, after years of meditation and studying of the sword I have come to the realization that this sword will choose its owner someday. It might be during your lifetime or even down our lineage.
The Iron Emperor gave this sword to my father that when this sword owner revealed itself the Iron Mountain would have a guardian that even he would serve willingly. The great Iron Mountain is our empire symbol then this sword is our empires power.
Its power should be drawn for the protection of our people not to conquer or rule this world. You must always remember this lest we be our empire’s downfall instead of its protector.
Our great Iron Mountain empire is still young, your father, you and I will make this empire reach new heights that even the top would not look down upon us. We are the protectors of this beautiful land; we live under the watchful gaze of the great Iron Mountain as it nurtures us.
We need a guardian to help our empire reach a great height even we cannot fulfil. The three things need to be present in our empire’s strength, the symbol, the power, the guardian. My time will come soon so your father and you with the new generation of our family will have to do the work I and my father failed to see done. Promise me this Ren Song of the Ren Family that you will fulfil our duty and the Iron Emperor’s vision.”
Now looking at Zou Shen at this moment he could remember the moment he had very clearly, even his dying father made him remember this duty and spoke about this glorious vision for the empire on his dying breath. The future could now be realized as he found the guardian, they had been waiting for all this time.
‘The fate of the empire is now tied to him; will be willing to our empire’s guardian or not depends on his choice.’ Ren Song though as he watched over Zou Shen breakthrough.
Zou Shen was trying to infuse the Wind Qi to his Pure Qi. He mixed the two Qi slowly forming a new Qi altogether. His mind and physical body were using the full strength he had available.
The Pure Qi barrier around him shrunk as it entered his body and inside his body, he compressed all the Pure Qi and Wind Qi slowly and methodically until it was becoming round like a core, smaller and smaller. This forceful compression of two types of Qi was making his body look like a malnourished young man with his skeleton becoming more and more prominent.
He was using all the will he had to keep him body alive. Blood was flowing out of his body as he bathed in his own blood. Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click www.webnovel.com www.webnovel.com for visiting.
Ren Song was horrified he had never seen a cultivation method like this, it looked like he was killing himself. He knew that he was alive as he could clearly hear his heart beating rapidly.
If Ren Song tried to scan Zou Shen body to look inside, he would find that he was hollow as his organs had been destroyed, with his skeleton and veins also destroyed. Every single cell in his body was destroyed. He was a hollow corpse as only his heart was taking the working hard to keep his brain going at full capacity.
Soon the Wind Qi and the Pure Qi infused and condensed into such a small factor that it entered Shi Jian realm inside of him, he had long since decided to make Shi Jian as his core. While Core Realm cultivators would form a spiritual sea as the base for their eventual formation of the core, Zou would make himself the base and Shi Jian as his core. If someone heard of such a way, they would call him death seeking madman. Zou Shen to be strong with his average start, to live truly free he had to be crazy as he could be.
This Hollow cultivation was his idea ever since he discovered the Pure Qi in the Grey Forest. This was a gamble as he could die any moment if anything went wrong, it was like going into closed door death cultivation at higher realms, but it happened to him at the very start. People would willingly take their chances at a heavenly tribulation rather than this mad method.
Still this Hollow Cultivation method which he created would give him full control and amount of Qi in his body unlike anything seen before in this world. He would have true freedom; he would not need to worry about not having pills or spirit stones to cultivate as the world itself would give him all he wanted no matter where he went. He could adapt to any place be it the Netherworld or other dangerous and perilous places. He wanted to be undying, he could get hurt and die but he would survive more than other could. This was his true start to gain true immortality.
If he succeeded, he would still need time to find his own path now, there was teacher who could guide him. No scripture, book that he could read to help him. Others walked on the stairs set upon in this world of cultivation he would turn around and walk the ground and create his path free from others. He would be alone in this path forever until someone learnt of this path and walked upon him and spreading it throughout the world.
He wouldn’t know what the realms of this cultivation were or how strong he was compared to others, how to get strong was not even known to him now. He would need to fight the strong to find his path now.
The two type of Qi condensed into the Shi Jian and his heart stopped for a second resulting in him truly dying for a moment. In an instant a new type of Qi spread outwards expanding slowly. It released from the Shi Jian as the centre and spread outwards from the void she was in as it formed a ground from the new type of Qi infuse of Wind and Pure Qi. There would be more types of Qi he would find in the future adding to this void creating a world of his own for his dear Shi Jian. He also had the death Qi, but he was not ready to assimilate it. He would call this infusion of Qi’s, ‘Infused Qi’.
The Infused Qi spread outwards as it increased the speed of expansion and soon it appeared inside his broken body expanding everywhere. This new surge of Infused Qi started to heal his body forming air like human organs, cells, bones and blood. Everything was like the pure wind in this sky. The Pure Qi gave them colour and form making them appear like a normal mortal inside.
Zou Shen was not a human being anymore but something else, a living being of the elements, but he was hollow inside. He was a human at the same time he was different altogether being hollow. He wanted to call himself Hollow Human for now. In the future who knows what he would become, that would depend on where he went and what choices he made.
Soon the expansion spread out from his body into the world causing the world to welcome their new brethren with joy, the ground shook around the world in joy, the sky flowed quickly in joy, water flowed plenty in joy. It was scene of celebration by the Shattered Jade Lands as it felt like its long-lost creator had returned to be with it again.
Zou Shen eye was closed as he didn’t feel anything now, he was just like a new-born creation upon this world, a hollow human. His senses had shut itself as he fully focused on this ordeal.
After some time Zou Shen got up and opened his eyes, his body had fully healed quickly with the help of the Infused Qi, its effect was even stronger than the Pure Qi of the past. It took a few seconds for him to get used to his new body, he did some checking on his own body for a while. His whole body had returned to his previous self like nothing had ever happened as horrendous as him loosing all his blood and his whole inside being hollow. He was back to his average looking self. His mind was now working at a normally now, while before it was working like a computer with the only function to get through this ordeal at all costs.
Zou Shen closed his right hand into a fist, then brought up to his eyes. From the closed fist opened his first finger and soon the Infused Qi appeared which was pure white in colour. He looked at it for a while seeing the result of his ordeal and nodded his head in satisfaction.
The world around him had returned to normal but he didn’t know of the reaction of the people all around the Shattered Jade Lands. The people around the world were scared and some were even praying to heavens for mercy. To the cultivators and the mortals alike it looks like the world was about to end. After a minute the world returned to normal after this strange occurrence had started. There was only one change after this occurrence, the world looked more alive. The mountains, rivers and plains looked more alive. The deserts, the hidden realms connected to the Shattered Jade Lands were all affected. No one knew why this happened as it was universal change to the vitality of the Shattered Jade Lands.
Only Ren Song knew what caused this change in the world around all over, the person was standing right in front of him looking at such a pure white Qi he had never seen or felt before in his life. He had no knowledge of such a Qi as he was one of the immortals in this world. He was knowledgeable about many things and secrets of this world which common cultivators were not. He still didn’t know what had happened to cause the change just that it was caused because of Zou Shen.
Ren Song now knew why the sword choose him as her master, such a person was more overqualified to be the guardian of the Iron Mountain empire. He knew given time their guardian would be so strong no one would dare look at Iron Mountain Empire with malicious intent. It would all depend on his choice to be their guardian or not. He decided that he would offer the Empire and his Ren Clan to Zou Shen to become their Empire’s guardian. People would disagree with his choices in the empire as he knew but he would clear the empire of such people if he needed to.
The Iron Mountain Empire was at a breaking point hidden from the Bright Spirit continent other powers. It would result in the rise or fall of the Iron Mountain Empire. He would think about what to do after he got an answer from Zou Shen.
