Journey Of An Unknown - Chapter 19
In the grand hall of the Ren Clan household which in the capital city. Ren Song and his son Ren Xuesi were holding a mattering with other elders and members of their clan.
There were eight elders of the Ren Clan for each direction of the Iron Mountain empire. Only Ruozhen was missing as he was in the Feathers Peak City waiting the arrival of their empire guardian to serve his needs.
The remaining elders with Ren Xuesi and Ren Song were discussing how to deal with situation in their Iron Mountain empire as they were on the loosing side now. Their enemies had been corrupting the Empire with greed for a long time while they did nothing.
Every member of the Ren clan was angry at their own foolishness and idleness of the matter. The elders were ashamed at their failings to let the matter get this far in the first place.
They could not look at the past now, they needed to look at now and the future for a solution. Ren Song had failed in his initial charge of the matter, his son who was smart and strong also could not do much as he could only hold of the hidden attacks from his side of the fight.
The younger generation were quietly standing behind their respective elders, they also knew what the situation entailed for their empire and their own clan. Still they powerless against their enemies. They had could not fight the Ascension Realm cultivators like their elders or do anything rash and stupid to hurt their own clan by giving their enemies a chance to damage them.
After hours of talk a figure appeared at the door of the grand hall of the Ren Clan. It was Ruozhen would had teleported here after talking with Zou Shen in Feathers Peak City. He had returned to Ren Clan carrying to relay the Guardian of the Iron Mountain Empire decree.
The younger generation bowed towards Ruozhen in respect when they saw him, he was the fifth elder and one the strongest elders they had in their clan. Many members of their clan and the cultivators outside respected him a lot.
Ren Song sitting in elevated part of the hall got up from his seat and greeted Ruozhen, he was surprised had come back form Feathers Peak City even though he was given strict orders to serve Zou Shen in the Feathers Peak city.
“Ruozhen, why have you returned from your order to stay in Feathers Peak City to wait for Lord Shen.” He had to question Ruozhen on this matter as it was important.
“Lord Shen has reached Feathers Peak city and is currently at the new shop we set up there. I have returned to relay a message from Lord Shen.” He answered Ren Song while bowing in respect.
Ren Song breathed a sigh of relief as he found out that Zou Shen had reached Feathers Peak City
and had already met with Ruozhen. He then asked about what Zou Shen did while in Feathers Peak City.
“Lord Shen came to our clans’ shop with a girl called Jiang Xinling. She was someone who was being cared upon by Lord Shen. Lord Shen requested that they take part in Red Rain sect selection tournament being held in the city tomorrow. I have already ordered a servant to register their names with our clans backing.”
He told Ren Song and everyone else present in the hall clearly. So they would not mistake his words and the decree that will be given afterwards by him.
“Lord Shen then asked me about the situation in our empire and the clans progress.” He stopped for a while thinking back to their talk and he continued with his report.
“Lord Shen also asked about how I felt about the situation as a Ren Clan member and citizen of the Iron Mountain empire. I truthfully told Lord Shen my feelings, during the talks I lost my composure and my spiritual pressure released itself in rage in the city. Lord Shen forgave me for my mistake.”
Everyone in the hall was shocked when they heard this part. Everyone in the clan also felt the way their Elder Ruozhen felt, they could not just speak it out in front of others. They could also understand how much rage and shame they were burying deep inside of them. Even a usually the most composed elder of their clan lost himself for a moment.
Soon Ruozhen voice got loud and clearer so everyone in the hall would not miss what was to be relayed today to everyone present here.
“I have returned to the clan relay a decree by Lord Shen to our Ren Clan. This is a decree from the Guardian of the Iron Mountain Empire.” Ruozhen looked at everyone present before continuing.
“Lord Shen has said that Ren Clan is to exterminate any who stand on our way, every man, woman or child is not to be spared. We are given the task of finding out who killed the previous emperor, the person and the power who backed this murder.”
The whole hall turned silent when they heard this start of the decree. Ren Song sat back in seat in silence he listened with a serious face and didn’t stop Ruozhen even once.
“We are to give the innocent people on the enemy side one last to chance to surrender and turn over to our clan.”
“We have to impale our enemies alive in the capital city and hang their corpses from trees throughout the empire. It is to send a warning to others not to look at our Iron Mountain Empire with schemes and malicious intent.”
The younger generation gasped for air when they heard this bloody order, even if they hated their enemies a lot, they would not do something like this to them. The older generation, the elders and leaders remained unmoving as they listened carefully to the decree.
“Lord Shen has said that our Ren Clan is to replace the current royal lineage of the Iron Mountain Empire, the royalist is to be treated as invaders from now on. No mercy is to be given or a chance to surrender peacefully.”
“Lord Xuesi you will take the throne of the Iron Mountain Empire as you will be returning to your position of the leader of the Ren Clan to carry out this decree. Lord Song you will return to gather your strength as Lord Shen mentioned you might meet some Immortal Realm old friends of yours. He expects you to uphold your title of the monster of Ren Clan.”
“The younger generation to given precious resources and guidance of our Ren Clan. After this war we have to build a sect to teach the people of the empire cultivate and fight by themselves. We are to rule as servants to the Empire and its people.”
“We might be looked as demons for carrying out this brutal decree, but we have to bear it. Lord Shen has set the punishment for failure to carry out this decree or disobedience as Exile of the Ren Clan from the Iron Mountain Empire.”
Ruozhen finally ended his relay of the decree given to his clan by Zou Shen. Everyone in the grand hall was silent as they digested the decree give to their clan. They knew this was a chance to redeem themselves.
Ren Song silently closed his eyes to think about this matter. His son Ren Xuesi also thought about this deeply. He soon opened and looked towards his son.
“You know what to do.” He said as he looked towards his son smiling. Ren Xuesi also knew what he had to do when he heard the decree.
Ren Xuesi got up from his seat and walked to the middle of the hall. With a loud and clear voice filled with his pressure he spoke.
“You have heard of the decree given to our clan by the Guardian of the Iron Mountain Empire. The decree will be fulfilled no matter what. For our Ren Clan and for our Iron Mountain Empire.”
Everyone in the grand hall roared in agreement releasing their spiritual pressure outwards. The spiritual rose from the Ren Clan household in the capital city to everywhere, shaking the whole capital city with their spiritual pressure.
Everyone in the city felt this pressure bear on them like a tsunami. They had never felt anything like this in their life. Others higher powers who had branches set up in the capital city also felt this pressure. Everyone knew something had happened at Ren Clan household to cause this, they just didn’t know the cause. In the coming days, the members of Ren Clan moved throughout the empire sending a last warning for people to turn over to the clan if they had joined the royalist or their enemies unknowingly.
When this warning come out, every higher power in the continent now knew that Ren Clan was about to go to war with the Royalists and their enemies. What they didn’t know was the brutal decree given to Ren Clan to be carried out.
Only the elder and the leaders of the clan like Ren Song and Ren Xuesi knew of the Guardian of the Iron Mountain Empire positional power. The younger generation asked the elders as they didn’t know what this title was. They were told after taking an oath of secrecy. They were shocked such a position was hidden from everyone and how much power the title carried.
Ruozhen bowed and left to return to Feathers Peak City. Ren Song went into closed door cultivation giving the position of leader of the Ren Clan back to his son Ren Xuesi who prepared to unleash the decree upon his enemies.
Zou Shen meanwhile was meditating in the beautiful garden in the backyard of the shop. Zou Shen was releasing his pure white Infused Qi out from his body in an upward direction.
He had been meditating to increase his control of the infused Qi when it was outside of his body. It was night and he looked at the bright moon above in the sky. He had another idea looking at it in his travel after forming Infused Qi.
Zou would release his Qi upwards to reach the moon in the sky. He increased his amount of infused Qi every second, if someone were to look clearly, they would see a pure white thread of Qi moving upwards slowly increasing in length.
He had already reached the peak of Feathers Peak mountain doing this. It was still not enough though. No one in this world thought of doing this even if they were crazy. Only Zou knew the true benefits from this maddening task.
His infused Qi was getting more stronger and larger, if he recalled all his spiritual Qi and spread it out it would cover the entire Feather Peak city and the areas surrounding it.
Others created spiritual sea or ocean. He was materializing his visible seen Infused Qi to become a real sea or ocean. It would be enough to make others mad with power, but Zou Shen still felt disappointed that he could not reach the moon.
Zou Shen kept doing this task while meditating in the garden from whole night to morning, reaching unknown heights in the sky far surpassing the height of the imposing Feathers Peak mountain peak.
Ruozhen had returned but didn’t disturb, Xinling came to him to ask for a room to rest in. He ordered some servants to prepare for and asked the head servant to report how the registering for
the selection tournament went.
The servant told him everything was done, no one asked anything about Zou Shen, they did ask about Xinling because of her clan name. Ruozhen didn’t bother with it as he only cared Xinling not being harmed or else Zou Shen might get angry.
In the morning Xinling came to find Zou Shen meditating in the garden. She didn’t disturb him and went where the selection tournament would be held with a servant from the shop.
The selection tournament would be held in the grand arena of the Feathers Peak City, where many events had taken place in the past. The fighting arena was very huge and could hold 200 thousand of people at one time. There were huge square transparent like magical screens to watch fights from with the help of a magical treasure created to transmit images in real time. Cultivators could use their spiritual sense to watch the selection tournament while mortals could use the magical screen to watch the fights up close.
Many various clans and sects had come with their people to watch the Red Rain sect selection tournament where the top 3 will be able to become core disciples of the sect. The others sect and clans came to watch to pick up the leftovers and to watch out for talented cultivators and geniuses who didn’t enter the Red Rain sect.
Zou Shen didn’t care to enter the Red Rain sect, he wanted to fight the geniuses and talented cultivators of this continent. He just wanted to fight badly as he was bored to death as he was always itching for a fight to start.
