Journey Through The Magical World - 3 Chapter 3
Turning around he saw an ostrich. It was taller than him standing at about 2.5 meters (about 8 foot and 2 inches). It was looking straight at him. Eyes bloody red. It feathers charcoal black and its skin strawberry pink.
Its eyes showed an interest in the human in front of it. Slowly walking towards him with its long legs, Sebastian put up his guard.
‘An ostrich? You usually don’t see them in fantasy stories.’
Seeing that the human got into a fighting stance, the ostrich thought that it was threatening it. Realising this it started to pick up its pace. Before it was just slowly walking, but now it was already running at full sprint towards him.
Sebastian knowing he can’t face such a fast monster, he quickly activated his Time magic. Time stopped immediately, the ostrich was stopped just a few feet in front of him.
‘Better make this quick!’
Taking out the sword from his pocket dimension, he slashed at the ostrich. He was aiming to slice off its neck from its body. Right as it connected, the sword broke.
‘WHAT?!’
This made Sebastian frightened, as this sword was able to cut Harmful monsters, but he hasn’t tried it on a Dangerous monster. He knew he wasn’t a match with a Dangerous monster.
Seeing that his Time magic was about to end, he quickly used Space magic and teleported away.
As time slowly resumed, the ostrich looked around confused. The human was just in front of it, how could he just disappear. Noticing that the human left his food here, the ostrich ate it and left satisfied.
Somewhere near a river, a portal appeared and out of it jumped out Sebastian. Sweat was running down his face, his clothes were drenched. He was panting while he lay his hands on his knees.
“What the fuck was that thing made of?! Even a sword breaks on its neck?!”
Right now, he believed that if he didn’t escape he would have died.
‘No point fighting a losing battle.’
Finally catching his breath, he looked towards the river in front of him. Then he looked at his clothes.
‘I guess I should take a bath,’ he sighed.
Taking off his clothes, he went into the river. After properly cleaning himself, he had to think about what to do next.
‘Well, I don’t have a sword anymore. Maybe I should learn different magic?’
While thinking this, he looked at the river. Then he suddenly had an idea.
‘Wait, if I can learn water magic, then does that mean that I can control blood? Since blood is mostly water, then can I also control other living things. Can I completely stop someone’s blood flow? But how long would it take for them to die if I did that? They won’t die in just a few seconds right?’
His brain went into overdrive. If he could control blood to stop flowing, then this could be very dangerous. Even if this world was in the medieval ages, there still should be someone who knows how to manipulate blood.
‘Still, this is a good time to learn water magic. If it’s flowing so fast in the river, then it should make it more difficult to manipulate.’
Sebastian sat cross-legged next to the river with his eyes closed. He first started with trying to use the magic particles around the water to make the river flow in a different direction.
After about half an hour, he was finally able to stop a small spot of the river. He wasn’t able to make it change direction, but still stopping it a little was good progress.
And so his training for water magic started. He tried to stop more and more of the river every day for about three hours. After training water magic, he went to find something to eat. Then it was training time magic and after that training space magic. After training, he went to sleep. Waking up he repeated this for two months.

“Ok, this is good. I’m making good progress.”
Sebastian was happy with how he was doing. He was now also able to stop time for half a minute. His pocket dimension also grew, it now has a space of 1.5 cubic meters.
‘Still, I wish I could find a new sword.’ he sighed.
Sebastian went to the river and sat down. ‘Now let’s try to make it bend to my will.’
Saying this Sebastian started to manipulate the particles around the water. He first made it go straight up. It was a little hard, but he was able to do it quickly. After it went straight up he started to make it bend. He tried to make a ball, an arrow-like shape and a sword-like shape from the water.
He was satisfied. After training, he started to sweat as the Sun was quite strong. He took off his clothes and jumped into the river. After cleaning himself, he started to walk out of the river. Just as he was about to be on the shore, he heard a noise.
Quickly taking a fighting stance, he was on high alert. After a few seconds, something came out of the bushes. After he saw what came out of the bushes Sebastian didn’t know if this was good or bad for him.
What came out of the bushes?
A human.
