Kael Cor: A Vampire’s Awakening - Chapter 351 Rescue Op III
There was a flash of bright light in the distance, it was a light so bright that it made the night seem like it was briar daylight. And accompanying that light was the roar of a dragon, obviously Kodak had already gotten to work, and subsequent explosion that followed seemed to confirm my thoughts. I nodded to Tiberius as he led the way, taking us directly to a service entrance on the east side of the estate. We didn’t have to do anything fancy as a swift kick from Tiberius blasted the door away.
I was somewhat disappointed, because quite honestly I expected more from the door, even if it was just flimsy side entrance. We came into what looked like a large store room, and at the very end of this storeroom was an opened door way without a door that led to a brightly lit kitchen. Xaseah decided to take point this time, obviously she was getting tired of missing out on the action.
A wave of her hand summoned her massive battle axe, the weapon was pitch black and riddled with flowing and elegant elven script, I’ve not really had time to talk to her about that axe of hers, or about her full abilities as a night elf, sure there was some dwarf blood somewhere in her body, but she was a vampire now, so apart from some really special skills, she wasn’t any of those races anymore.
We swiftly moved into the kitchen, and right into an ambush as there was some waiting as the side of the door with a halberd in hand. We all saw him coming though, after all both Xaseah and I with the except of Tiberius were really powerful vampires with extraordinary senses, an ambush behind an open doorway was to amateurish to catch us off guard.
Xaseah did not even need to do much as she grabbed the blade of the halberd heading towards her chest and pulled the wielder close to her, and right into her exposed fangs. She used his body to block the incoming wave of bullets that were heading straight for her. She savagely pulled back her head from the neck of the now dead guard, and took a step backwards as his blood began to float out of his body. Thankfully he was already dead, or the process of Xaseah draining all of his blood would have been beyond painful.
All of the blood gathered on the blade of her axe, and she slammed it down onto the marble floor. There was a loud explosion that completely destroyed the kitchen as everything was thrown backwards towards the guards shooting at her, accompanied by a bloody red energy that completely tore them apart.
The kitchen looked like a giant had just decided to kick his foot from one end of it to another, and even the walls on the other end was destroyed. There was a hallway on the other side, and it seems as if another group of guards were lying in wait for us, but the debris and remnant of Xaseah’s blood wave had leftmost of them dead and the rest quite injured.
We’ve made a lot of noise now, hopefully Kodak would be able to make a much louder noise, because having anymore attention drawn to us before we rescue Tiberius’s wife would be a very bad thing so I grabbed him by the shoulders and shadow walked into the shadows of the house, hiding within them with Xaseah as we made our way to the top floor.
Multiple squads of guards walked and ran past us, just as we slipped past them, without them finding even a trace of our presence. Without us being a target, all of their attention would be drawn to Kodak who was at this very moment making even more loud noises. I could just as easily burn all this estate to the ground if Emrys and I combine, forming our full dragon form. However, that was a method of attack that didn’t differentiate between enemy and friend, or attacker and onlooker, everyone within the rate of my attacks would lose their life, and as a dragon two times the size of an Air bus, that range can be pretty much the entire Nix family estate.
We kept our pace, remaining undiscovered until we got to the residential area of the east wing. I didn’t know what hit me, and it didn’t really hurt, however all I knew was that someone, or a weapon with the power or ability to attack me when I’m within shadows, had made a play. All three of us were dragged out of the shadow we had used to travel and blasted backwards against a wall, standing right in front of us was a trio of what seemed to be heavily armored medieval knights.
Their armor were rather Gothic looking, and was so black it seemed as if they were just a couple of black spots standing in front of us. From the cracks and seams on their armor, a kind of black gadget began to slowly waft up, taking the form of an cloud or fog that bung around them. I had no idea what these things were, but I could feel just how powerful they were from where I was standing, they released a certain kind of pressure.
It was the kind of pressure you would expect from someone really strong, but apart from that there was nothing else.
There was no sign of life, no sense of energy, and most especially no words coming from them. As if what was standing in front of us weren’t living beings, but rather tireless and undying machines.
The first one of them shot forward, moving so fat it was as if he teleported from one end of the hall to another. His speed could match mine…..when I’m not trying to be fast. He was wielding a massive great sword that he swung, hoping cleave us all apart at the same time. Xaseah moved forward and slammed her axe against the great sword, creating a shockwave that destroyed the wall on both sides of her and the Dark guard in front of her. The guard was stopped, but Xaseah had to take a few steps back to steady herself.
These Dark guards were ridiculously powerful, and at this point Tiberius won’t be of any help. He may be a powerful warrior and general to his troops, but obviously the fight that’s about to happen was way out of his league. Xaseah and I intend to get serious in the most subdued manner possible, we really didn’t want to destroy this entire island a and thousands of innocent people leaving on it.
And to be honest it’s gotten really easy to win fights lately, and we wanted to try and lush ourselves a bit. I called forth my armor, and Xaseah dodge the same thing, with her Axe growing larger in the process, with the blade becoming an entire meter wide and long, and shaft growing a bit, so that the axe towered over all of our heads. Xaseah twirled the massive axe around with a smile on her face as she said to me.
“How long do you think this toys of theirs would last, my money is on five minutes seven minutes tops.” I shook my head in disagreement and said.
“ill take two of them out in three minutes, and I won’t use my runes. If I meet that time, you have to do something for me.” I said to her with a smile.
“oh really, and what if you lose.” She asked me, returning my smile with one of her own.
“Then I’ll be the one doing something for you.” I replied back with a shrug. She smiled and then turned to face the Dark Guardthat surprisingly had let us make a wager and prepare to kick their ass.
“Well my dear husband, you’re on!”
*whoosh!* *Bang!*

KODAK
With his Warhammer glowing and Shao Tie’s energy form adding more power to his strike, Kodak came down from the sky like a blazing meteorand smashed his right in the middle of the group of really under prepared guards. Even though they had taken really good security measures, these guys have not had this misfortune of fighting a vampire, heck no one in the whole universe for over 600 thousand years, have been lucky enough to go toe to toe with a well trained vampire, much less one that’s as powerful as Kodak.
This guy’s had no idea what they were dealing with, and that’s why more than half of them laid crushed and burnt to a crisp. But the fight was just beginning. Kodak dodged to the side, moving last a stream of bullets that went flying into the night as he super sped towards the shooter, slamming his leg into the guards chest. The guards at the main gate were better equipped by those at the tree, so the armor was strong, strong enough to completely withstand the full powered strike of aNosferatu juiced up on dragon energy.
Kodak bent his head a bit as a miniature rocket flew past and went into the forest, exploding with a loud bang, but quickly fizzling out as the power dampening trees quickly absorbed the excess energy from the explosion. Kodak looked up just in time to have a fist slammed into his jaw that pushed him back a bit, with his legs digging furrows into the ground. Kodak raised an eyebrow as he took a closer look at the guards he had to deal with now.
There was a lot of them, and quite a few more were still rushing out from the estate to come join the fight. The very glaring and obvious defense apart from the weapons, was their armor. Or in this case, their battle suits. These guys have already been handed equipment that would let them fight on an almost equal footing with an ordinary Nosferatu rank vampire.
Unfortunately for them, Kodak was anything but ordinary, plus the battle suit limited their mobility on the battlefield, very unlike those from Ethernalia Leonis that had you moving like the wind, even with how bulky it looked.
“Well what are you guys waiting for, kill the filthy blood sucking leech!” one of the guards shouted.
In response to his screams, Kodak sped towards him and swung his hammer upwards, catching him underneath his jaw, and taking of his head and spine in a shower blood and gore. And as an added measure, Kodak spun, twirling his hammer as iron brought it full weight down on the now headless body, crushing it together with it armor like a soda can.
Unfortunately for them, blood had spilled, and that was morethan enough to drive Kodak into frenzy, as he slammed his legs to the ground, and droplets of blood floated into the air. He shook his head as he dove into the middle of the group the guards, moving so fast he was nothing more than a blur, as he dodgedhis gunfire and shifted his Warhammer into its buster sword form. A simple twist had the half a meter wide and six foot long sword piercing into the stomach of a guard, cutting through his armor like it was made from paper, and moving toward to cutting into the two other guards behind him.
Kodak shook his sword, and the three human bodies fell to the ground, separated in a messy way from the waist and chest. Kodak angled his sword, and used it as a shield to block the rain of solar blasts coming from their guns, and the he smiled. By this point the droplets of blood floating in the air had already increased in volume, and now they were glowing and vibrating intensely. For most of those guards the next words that came out of Kodak’s mouth was the last thing they would ever hear.
“Sanguine Dragon Art: Sun Blood Barrage!”
