Kael Cor: A Vampire’s Awakening - Chapter 400 The Morrigan I
Kamesh was on fire, it wasn’t really a pretty sight, but honestly this was just the beginning of a very long trail of death and destruction. I was bored, sure I had some things to do here, duties to take care off, but I rather be back home, with my children with my people. In the time that I’ve been a god, I’ve realized quite a few things about having such power as my disposal, and even more so after my fight with Jarl and Tarl, and that’s the fact that I’m stronger the more people who believe in me, and the closer that I am to them. But what I have right now is not power bring from faith, but from belief, which is just a step below faith.
The knowledge that I’m a god is yet to be made known to the universe, so the only way to increase my divinity was plunder it from other gods. And since I’ve not had too much of a reason to use said divinity to make divine decrees, changes to the way the universe works by disrupting or manipulating the flow and essence of creation itself; I have a bunch of it lying around with nothing to do. I could make temples to harvest more faith, but to do that would be to expose my new found powers as a god, making it easier for other to track me, and even worse giving a proper face to the target Dracula had been looking for. So making temples and starting a religion is out of the question, we don’t want a bunch of fanatical preachers going about preaching about the greatness and holiness of Kael Cor, not when the god of vampires is searching for my ass.
And it wasn’t as if I’m scared of Dracula, heck I’m itching to get my hands on him. But he was the first vampire, not to mention he has been a god longer than I have, and could have easily used godlike vampiric abilities to drain the entire divine realm of divinity if he wanted to. He definitely wasn’t ordinary or as weak as he might seem, so it would be better to take more precautions before facing off against him. Enough that I know him being a god of vampires wouldn’t give him an edge over me, cause that would suck for a lot of people.
Nothing I can do with my divinity wouldn’t draw attention, not unless I send it elsewhere as a gift. That shouldn’t be a problem for me though, I’m sure my children would be able to grow stronger from the tiny trickle of divine energy I’ll be sending to them every once in a while. They have a more stable foundation than I did, and I hope they grow up a hundred times stronger than their old man, and honestly is seems. Like they’re off to a good start.
Either way I’ve gotten control of Kamesh, as long as the barrier around the Empire still stands, I’ve have full control on the only way in and out of the empire, which means I can pretty much fuck with their economy, any way I would want to.
Of course I could make them lose some money, and probably out a dent in a lot of businesses as the empire mainly relies on it’s ability to monopolize goods from the second floor, being completely responsible for transportation and selling. Prices would probably go up, people would starve, and the privileged would be forced to prey on the weak to survive. Now while that seemed like a pretty full proof plan to me, it was a long term war effort goal, I don’t have time to drag this out, there’s probably a ton of other places that I’m needed. So I’ll want to face the remaining five gods quickly and be done with this drama, besides I’ve grown stronger and I’ve been itching for a fight.
(You Have Absorbed The Divinity Of Two Lesser Gods!)
(You Have Gained 60 Thousand Faith Points)
(You Have Become A 3rd Circle Minor God)
(Would You Like To Gain Minor Control Over The Domains Of Darkness Or Silver/ Or Use The Domains To Strengthen Current Domains)
(Rune(Minor)=>Rune(Modest)=Cost 1 Minor Domain)
(Soul(Minor)=>Soul(Modest)=Cost 1 Minor Domain)
(Hope(Minor)=>Hope(Modest)=Cost 2 Minor Domain)
Hope was too abstract of a domain, till now I have no idea what I’m supposed to do with it, and while I’m sorely tempted to find out just how powerful a modest control over the domain of hope would be like, I had to consider the bigger picture. So I took care of what matters most at the moment.
(Rune(Minor) Has Been Improved To Rune(Modest) Divine Authority Leveled Up By 1)
(Soul(Minor) Has Been Improved To Soul(Modest) Divine Authority Leveled Up By 1/ Soul God Leveled Up By 1)
(You have to absorb the essence of 5 Lesser Gods Or One Major God to advance to the next circle/ Amass 1 million Faith Points To Become A 4th circle Major God)
Now I know what the faith points are used for, they’re used to improve the power of a god, and give them power over the universe. Basically it’s a divine currency, that with enough, can elevate the rank of a god, and as I suspect even the rank of his or her domains. Never the less I’m stronger now, however I don’t think for one second Dracula was a lesser god, so this wasn’t enough. However I’ll just have to make the best of what I’ve got.

I looked out at the smoking city of Kamesh and it’s people who were now trying to pick up the pieces of their overturned lives. War was a nasty business, as long as you’re on the battlefield fighting you’re guilty of death and destruction. And the price to pay for that stigma lay in the suffering and pain of the innocent, they’re the ones who suffer the most from such actions. There wasn’t much I could do for the city now except make sure they’re protected and well provided for.
Kamesh was the literal gate of the Bork empire, there was one way in and one way out. Now that it’s under my control, Bork has turned into a veritable Prison cell, and all of my enemies were unfortunately for them, locked in here with me. So it would be fun seeing just what sort of resistance these guys would be able to put up against me, but more than that I was looking forwards to experiencing something new, and just how all these gods were hoping to plot my demise, after all…..I now hold power over death.
