Kael Cor: A Vampire’s Awakening - Chapter 404 The Morrigan V
The second giant as rushing at me with the intent to kill (obviously), each step he took caused the very earth beneath his feet to vibrate and shake, causing tremors and small quakes that would have thrown a lesser man off balance. I rushed towards him, just a single step had brought me to his front as scaled his massage legs, moving my body to the left as his massive hand swept over his body in an attempt to dislodge me, it failed as a massive chunk of his rocky form fell off.
I leaped upwards until my body was right in front of his eyeball, seemingly hovering in the air for a second before I shot forwards, aiming my body to drill through his skull, but I was in for a surprise. A shockwave of sorts soaked into my body and threw me backwards, I flew through the air like a bullet from a gun, smashing into a hill that had a couple of sheep grazing on it. It was safe to say that most of those sheep won’t be making it home for dinner, thankfully the shepherd in charge of their grazing was not hurt, but given how he was staring at my battered and rapidly healing form with wide eyes, I would say he was probably traumatized or in awe…it’s hard to tell with that kind of look in his eyes.
The final rock giant seems to have a few more tricks up his sleeve, this shockwave kind of reminded me of the beam of light that guard Captain from Kamesh and his squad had used against me. There was a hint of the divine on it, but not strong enough to be of any consequence, either way it seems a direct physical attack won’t work on this giant, then I guess I’ll just have to do it new school.
The giant had picked up speed and was now rushing towards me, I shook my head as multiple runes began to form out of thin air, layering themselves one after the other in an exquisite manner as a rune circle was formed, and new rune began to take form. The combination of some runes didn’t create rune phrases or sentences, those were rather advanced techniques but also quite simple to follow. However for two runes to give birth to an entirely new rune rather than having their effects stacked, that was probably something only I could do at the moment.
(PUSH) (PULL) (EARTH) (SHIELD) = (GRAVITY)
The giants momentum came to a screeching half that raised dust and rubble into the air, it’s massive form was stuck and completely incapable of moving. There were tiny vibrations in the air around it, but unless someone was focusing on it, it would have been entirely impossible for them to have seen it. Pieces of the giant kept falling off it’s body, but they never reached the ground as they floated around it, not at all bothered by the crushing pressure the main body was currently facing.
*Cra-crack!*
A massive crack snaked across it’s massive frame, drawing a zig-zag like jagged line from it’s right hip to the middle of it’s torso. Blood and energy leaned out of the wound in massive amounts, as it’s massive body was slowly getting drenched. All of a sudden it’s massive arm became deformed as it was squeezed into itself, rock and bone turning to dust as blood floated in the air, unrestrained by gravity. There wasn’t really anything more to see here as I increased the output of soul energy into the rune, it flashed a dull grey as more and more cracks began appearing on the body of the giant, and with more injuries so too did the amount of blood in the air increase.
The giant that probably had the power to bring down a sky scraper in one bit, began to comfort in weird and honestly quite difficult positions. It’s massive body began to shrink in on itself as it’s very human like bones were crushed, it’s rock like tissues were ground to dust as it’s blood floated around it in a farewell of sorts. The pressure increased, and the original giant was just about the size of a small house, it was already dead, I could feel it, but there would be nothing left of it once I’m done.
*Cra-ca-cack!*
Dust rained from the sky as the gravity rune vanished, and all of the blood and dust rained down to the ground, painting the land in a variety red and grey that evoked a sense of horror in the eye of whoever would come see it.
There was an aura within the blood, hundreds of them, and it was malevolent, chances are this particular patch of land would be cursed for a very long time to come. I turned to look at the young shepherd who was still very much afraid, I looked at it’s very dead here of sheep with only two surviving and furrowed my eyebrows, a quick message and Roe was in front of me with a sack of coins.
“Listen Kid I’m sorry about your sheep, use that money to take care of the damages. Also it would be best if you don’t come here to graze anymore, just to be safe. Now stay in school and don’t do drugs!” then in secretly weaved a shield and push rune circle and etched it one the boy’s bones. That kind of money would attract the wrong sort of attention, the rune should keep him and even his children, children’s, children safe from harm.
I flew up into the air and went into the almost completely destroyed gorge, the temple that was at he end had a few pillars scattered on the ground, and it’s entrance was already collapsed.
However that won’t stop me, but maybe I’ll just let my servants take care of this instead of doing everything myself. I flew back to the castle, and quickly gave orders for the temple to be excavated, and then I sat back under the gaze of everyone else and watched a fake sun set. I just really wanted to go home.
