Kael Cor: A Vampire’s Awakening - Chapter 410 The Morrigan Free
There were a bunch of notifications after Sobek fell, and all too easily I might add, but I couldn’t go us on that. I blew the plan, and now the others have to deal with goddesses that were corrupted by the Devourer and we’re still major gods themselves. Teluna already lost an arm in just this few seconds, so it was good I took action when I did, before the story becomes something else entirely.
A massive barrier separated the two infected sisters, Badb and the others faced on sister, leaving me with the last. I shot towards her, just as she roared at me, causing a flock of ink black demonic crows to fly at me. That was sloppy, but that was Understandable, she wasn’t in full control of herself and hence couldn’t right as well as one would expect her to.
(Teleport)
I shared the crows and showed up behind her and stretched forth my hand to grab her shoulder, but she moved to the side and smashed a knee into my stomach that threw the air or whatever the fuck it was gods breathed out of my stomach. It hurt, but what I need was bodily contact, just long enough for me to bleed.
Golden blood burst out of my body, god gleaming with runes as they did so and stabbed into hers, there wasn’t even a grunt as she grabbed my head and started squeezing. That would be a problem as what I had to do next was extremely delicate and getting my head pooped like a pimple wouldn’t be good for business. She may be part of a collective, and there many minds working in the most optimal way to destroy me.
But the thing, they all had one mind, there was no difference, no deviant thought, no Burst of inspiration. Single minded focus to carry out a particular action and see it to the end. And because of that, they’ll be incapable not seeing things from other angles, and as such she was left vulnerable to my sword stabbing underneath her jaw and into her head, and still she didn’t stop squeezing.
I twisted the blade and wrenched it outwards, turning her brain and face to mush as godly ichor and brains spewed all-over my face. I could have done it better, but she was still going to be killed, so it didn’t matter how it happened. I brought all of my soul energy to bear as I wrapped it around her soul and started fighting the infection that was the Devourer.
It wasn’t easy as he fought the pull, and attacked right back, trying to corrupt me. But would were my domain, and even if I haven’t taken full control of it didn’t matter as it belonged to me. This universe dictated that would answer me, and he was nothing more than an invaded that hasn’t even gotten a proper foot hold. His authority didn’t match mind, even if he was an extremely powerful cosmic entity that fed on universes.
But he out up a good right, so much so that I could feel my body becoming weaker, but this was something I had to do. While I did make a promise this was also an experiment, if I could succeed with this, then there’ll be a way for me to beat the Devourer and save the people who had fallen prey to his collective. With one last roar of indignation I pulled back as the Divine body in front of me crumbled to nothing, a black sludge like vapor fading into. Nothingness.
In my hands was a glowing golden form of a woman, it was definitely smaller, but the fact that she was there without even a hint of the devourers energy was enough proof that my gamble had paid of. I was able to remove the Devourer’s influence, of course she had to die, but her divine soul was intact. Which means when she’s born, she would at least be born a demi-god. A demi-god of war.
I turned to Badb watching as she and the Rhea restrained her other sister in a mound of earth, leaving only her hands and face exposed. I walked up to her and handed her the glowing form of her sister with a tired smile on my face, I felt as if I was on my last legs, who knew this would be so exhausting.
“One down…..one to go.”
With that said I placed my hands on the head of her other sister and let my blood burst out of my body, stabbing it into her head and her exposed arms. It hurt a lot when people like my body full of holes, it was a hundred times worse when I do it to myself, especially seeing as I’m using my own blood to stab myself from the inside out. The things I do for my universe.

I woke up in a cavern, it was cold, which was surprising for me, because I’ve not been affected by the elements of the world in a very long time. I could still feel my godly energy, but it seemed, subdued, weak, and slow. I got up and noticed Badb sitting there, she had the two glowing soul forms of her sisters nestled close to herself, but the most obvious thing I noticed was the fact that she was mortal.
“I promised you that I would give you all of my divine energy, you don’t have to look so surprised, I kept my word. But whatever it is you did for my sisters have left you severely weakened, it wouldn’t take too long for you to be at your peak again, probably a year or two, but for now; maybe you should avoid fighting any god at all.”
She did have a point, because right at this moment I honestly felt like crap. I shook my head as I got to my feet, which honestly was a bad idea as I felt incredibly weakened by that. She sighed and kept on speaking.
“The reason we were here was to arm the dungeon core of this planet, make it unstable and the send it thousands of light years across space to Spero. No matter how powerful you planet is, even if it survives the ensuing results would be just as cataclysmic.
Luckily you put a stop to this, survived it because you were willing to help me. So Spero is spared, the same can not be said for Pangea and Shearath, those worlds will die. Your wife is still around, she doesn’t trust me enough to leave you alone, but your sister and those two boys hopelessly in lover with her have gone back to earn your allies.
But even then they’ll be too late, most of the gods draw power from Shearath, but the gods of the dark council were willing to do this because you’ve driven them to a desperate corner. The Devourer gave them more lucrative offers than the worship of a couple billion people across multiple galaxies, he would give them trillions across dozens of universes.
It’s too late to save those planets, and even if you people respond on time, you know how big this planet is. There will be consequences, and explosion of this magnitude would probably give the Devourer a heart burn, but you guys would suffer far worse. So regardless of everything you’ve done…..he still wins.”
