Kanzen Kaihi Healer no Kiseki - VOL 3 CHAPTER 25
Chapter 25 – Demon King’s Announcement
After observing the festival for a bit and getting a letter of introduction at the blacksmith’s shop, we returned to the demon king’s castle. The preparations for the announcement ceremony were already over.
I came to the demon king’s waiting room with Lusha, and the demon king was desperately reading the greeting draft that she and Cruz-san had prepared. It seems that she’s not too nervous about the showdown.
“Aah, welcome back, you two. Tito-sama has to concentrate a bit, so leave her alone for now.”
“I understand.”
“I can’t believe she didn’t notice us coming in, her concentration is amazing…”
Cruz-san puts his finger on his mouth to tell us to quiet while smiling.
“That shows how much she trusts us. We have about an hour or so left until the showdown, so if Hiroki’s fine, I’ll prepare lunch… how about it?”
“Ah, thank you.”
We’re not going to move around, so it will be safe to eat, even before the showdown begin. Next to the demon king who was mumbling and reading the draft, I had lunch while chatting with Lusha and Cruz-san.

And at the moment of the showdown―the demon king was completely exhausted.
Well, that’s to be expected. She almost stayed up all night preparing for today and had to have a showdown in order to hold an announcement ceremony to declare that she is the demon king.
The battle takes place on the grounds of the demon king’s castle. It’s a place used by knights for training and is off-limits to the general public, but only the nobility and those who work in the castle are allowed to see it.
In a word, they will become witnesses…
“Tito-sama.”
“Hmm? What is it, Hiroki?”
“You must take them down as fast as you can and then take a nap until the announcement ceremony begins.”
“T-thank you, I appreciate it.”
It seemed that she was still quite sleepy, and she accepted my suggestion with open arms. Those who don’t like our interactions are, of course, the two of our opponents, the wizard, and the hunter.
The hunter took a step forward and glared at me.
“Don’t you dare to make fun of us! It’s obvious that Clyde-sama is the one worthy of being the demon king!”
“Paula, you don’t have to say that out loud…”
“Clyde-sama should be more confident! Because I can’t imagine a kid like that being a demon king!”
What a muscle brain hunter… Those are the two opponents that the demon king and I are facing off against. It’s a young man, a wizard named Clyde Leacock, and his follower, a hunter girl named Paula. He claimed to be the grandson of someone or something from the faction of the previous generation of the demon king.
“Calm down, Paula, don’t be impudent. Excuse me. My name is Clyde Leacock. I was told to be a demon king, so I came here.”
“…The demon king is supposed to be me, so no matter what you do, it’s useless.”
When Clyde announced with a smile, the demon king refuted him with confidence. I don’t know what they have in mind, but it’s a battle we can’t afford to lose.
The knight commander of the demon king’s castle will serve as the referee. He looked at Clyde and us in turn and swung his arms high.
“――Start!”
That’s my signal to use my support skills.
“[Shield], [Regeneration].”
I put regeneration on the demon king so that she could recover quickly if anything happened to her.
“A human priest? No, a healer? Either way, I can’t help but think that you’re making fun of this showdown!”
“You wouldn’t know that if you hadn’t try it!”
It’s just a shame that the opposing hunter yells something at me, but she doesn’t know how good an evasive healer is.
As per my original plan, I’m going to make a dash to close the distance between my opponent and me to get them to attack me. This way, they will have no choice but to attack me, regardless.
As expected, the hunter’s attack was aimed at me.
*miss*
Who’s surprised by that? Of course, the enemy.
“No way, what’s going on? I can’t believe my attack didn’t hit him…!”
The hunter shouted and released a few arrows into the air, but――.
*miss* *miss*
Unfortunately, that kind of attack won’t work on me―though even if I close the gap, there’s no way for me to attack her! This is just a complete decoy position.
I avoided all the attacks, so in the blink of an eye, I arrived at the opponent who was about fifty meters away.
“…Hello.” I try to smile and say hello anyway, but unfortunately, I don’t get a response.
“Are you kidding me, you’re not a healer?”
“I’m an evasion healer, you know.”
“Wha…!?”
It’s written on her face that she doesn’t understand what I was saying, even though I answered her question honestly.
“But you avoided all of my arrows, didn’t you?”
“I’ve never heard of a healer like that!”
“Then, by all means, please remember it. Personally, I’d be happy if evasion became more widespread, so…”
Defending is good, but not getting hit by an attack is even better.
While we were talking about it, an oversized fire was coming from behind. It’s a magic skill unleashed by the demon king, Inferno. I was worried about her amount of magic power because she was tired from lack of sleep, but it seems she was able to use it properly.
“Kuh… [Enchant Arrow], [Water Arrow]!”
“[Water]!”
The two of our opponents each unleashed water-type skills to counter it, but that’s just exactly what water is like when it’s burnt to a stone. The demon king’s Inferno swallowed up those small amounts of water and evaporated it in the blink of an eye. And then Inferno easily defeated Clyde and the hunter.
I’m glad that things went according to plan, but it was so bland and disappointing. I looked at the collapsed Clyde, and the hunter on one knee then looked at the referees. He immediately huffed and raised his hand to declare our victory.
“This match, Tito-sama, is the winner!”
“Okay, case closed. [Area Heal]”
“Ugh…”
“Why did you help me…?”
As I recover Clyde and the hunter, they looked at me curiously. No, no, what are you talking about? If it’s settled, then it’s only natural to heal the wounds.
“Why don’t you just finish us off?”
“No way. I don’t think that’s what Tito-sama wants.”
“…..!”
I explained to Paula, and I walked down to the demon king, who welcomed me with a big smile on her face.
“It’s Tito-sama’s win.”
“Yeah! Thanks, Hiroki!”
Now that there are no more concerns, Tito-sama will be recognized as the demon king after the announcement ceremony.
Case closed.
As we were about to move from this place to the balcony of the demon king’s castle, Clyde called out to the demon king.
“…I’m surprised. Tito-sama’s flames were gorgeous and certainly worthy of the demon king.”
“Clyde… is that so? As my father’s daughter, I do not intend to be a shameful demon king.”
“Yes. If it’s Tito-sama, it will be possible… It may be too convenient for me to say this, as an adversary, but I wish I can play a part as a subordinate in the future.”
Clyde kneels down and bows to the demon king.
Although we have won, he is a demon of the previous generation’s faction that seems to be setting up a confrontation. Will she accept it here, or will she just cut it down? I was wondering what kind of decision the demon king would make, and when I looked at her expression, my concern was nothing more than a small one.
“Yeah, I will count on you.”
“Thank you for your kind words.”
The demon king smiled beautifully and readily agreed to it. It seems that her capacity was even greater than I had imagined.

The sky is slightly madder, and even the flying wyvern looks fantastic. I’m here about to witness a historic moment. That’s right. It’s the demon king’s announcement ceremony.
“I’m getting nervous.”
“It’s not like we would do anything about it.”
Lusha is nervous besides me, and I agree with her. Many people have gathered in the plaza where they can see the balcony where the announcement will take place. Not to mention the demon race, but there are various other races, including beastmen, elves and dwarves.
We are in the rooftop area of the tower that the demon king used as her room. Since there are no other people in the tower, it feels like we’re watching from a special seat.
Tito-sama, dressed in a black dress and wearing her predecessor’s cloak, appears on the scene. Her fiery red hair looks great from a distance, but today she has a crown on it. And in her hand is staff as big as her height.
The moment the demon king appeared on the balcony, the city suddenly shook.
“Waaaaaah, it’s the demon king!”
“Oh, man, she’s a girl!”
“Amazing, wonderful!”
“She’s so cute!”
All of those voices were words of affirmation for the demon king, which was a relief. But I’m sure the person who was most relieved was the demon king herself.
“…I’m so happy to receive such words for the unworthy me who couldn’t appear for so long.”
Slowly, the demon king looked ahead and began to speak.
“To me, the position of the demon king was a hateful one, as it robbed me of my parents and sister. Many times I wished it would just go away… But still, I appear here as the demon king to protect what my father―the previous demon king had done.”
The buzzing people became quiet and listened to the demon king’s words.
“From now on, I will protect the apricot continent, including everyone who lives here. Believe in me and follow me!”
The words were said without any hesitation, and a loud cheer went up from the crowd.
“Tito-sama, she is very well-liked.”
“I guess you could call it charisma. There are people who are good at standing on top.”
“Yeah. If you asked me to do that, I would never be able to do that”
“I couldn’t do that either.”
The demon king smiled with satisfaction and looked at the city with a happy smile.
