Kanzen Kaihi Healer no Kiseki - VOL 4 CHAPTER 11
Chapter 11 – Anxious little sister
As soon as I got on the teleport device and walked out of the dungeon, I heard a scream. It was a woman’s, and a monster or something might have attacked her.
The sun seemed to have gone down while we were diving into the dungeon, making the forest even darker. I look around, blinking in the darkness.
“Where is it…?”
Ishmer and the others haven’t returned yet, but I can’t wait for them to come back. I hurriedly went towards the direction of the voice and found Lucia there, surrounded by a large number of goblins and snake monsters!
She seems to be using her magic to intimidate them, but she’s gradually cornered.
“Lucia-sama! [Shield]!”
“Ah… Sakurai-sama! I’m sorry, I’m just….worried.”
When I called out to her, Lucia-sama looked relieved. But it was only a moment before she apologized for the recklessness of what she had done. Apparently, she had been secretly following us because she was worried that Ishmer would be rude to us.
“Right now, it’s better to run away first!”
“Sakurai-sama!”
*miss**miss*
*miss**miss**miss*
As soon as I stepped out towards Lucia-sama, the goblins attacked me. But such attacks won’t work on me.
“Eh, no way… the goblins’ attacks…?”
“I’m an evasion healer, you know. This much is a piece of cake.”
*miss*
*miss**miss*
“Gugigigi!”
“It’s unlucky for you.”
Ignoring the goblins who were attacking me in frustration. I reached Lucia-sama. On closer inspection, her clothes are dirty, and she seems to be a little injured.
…I’m glad I was able to come back before she got injured seriously.
“[Heal]. Lucia-sama, do you have any other injuries?”
“Thank you, Sakurai-sama… It’s amazing, amazing. I’m fine now that you’ve used heal for me. …but…”
Lucia-sama’s gaze turned to the goblins around us. There are roughly thirty of them, and Lucia-sama’s body is trembling from fear.
“Well…”
I look at the teleport device, but the three of them haven’t come back yet. Why is it taking them so long to just get in? That’s what I thought, but I have to do something about the goblins.
“Excuse me, Lucia-sama.”
“Eh? Kyaaa!”
“I don’t want you to get attacked by the goblins…”
I’m sorry for her, but I hold her like in a side hug. This way, she won’t be attacked by goblins that attack us from 360 degrees from all around. She might not like it, but I hope she’ll be patient for now.
“Kyaaa!”
*miss*
Startled by the goblin’s attack, Lucia-sama clings to me. While calling out to her that it’s okay, I’m now pondering how to defeat the goblins. Well, I can wait for Lusha and the others to come back… but I don’t want to keep Lucia-sama scared.
“It seems Lucia-sama was using magic before, but… do you have any skill to defeat the goblins?”
“Me? I can use it, but it’s a simple one, and I don’t think I can defeat them…”
“That’s fine. I’m a healer, and I have no offensive skills, so it would be great if you could use it to take them down. But I’m not going to force you to do it either.”
When I explained why, Lucia-sama pondered for just a moment―and nodded.
“It may not be of much help, but… [Fire]…”
“It’s fine, thank you.”
The fire used by Lucia-sama collided with several goblins. It wasn’t possible to defeat them in a single hit, but it was great to be able to damage several of them at once. If she used her magic a few times, she would be able to defeat them.
Then she used her magic a few times and came to the point where she was close to catching her breath.
“Hah… [Fire]!”
“Nice, you did it! You’ve defeated them!”
After defeating the last one, Lucia-sama leaned limply against me. As expected of a young lady, if a young lady worked so hard, she’d be mentally exhausted…
I had to wait for the three who hadn’t returned yet, so I put Lucia-sama down under the shade of a nearby tree. I took out some water from my bag and handed it to her, and she seemed thirsty and drank it vigorously.
“Are you okay?”
“I think I used a little too much magic. I think I’ll be fine after I rest for a while, so don’t worry about it.”
“No, no, I was worried about it. I have the magic recovery potion; you can drink it.”
“…Thank you, Sakurai-sama.”
It must have been hard, after all. Lucia-sama quickly drank the magic potion and thanked me again.
“In the meantime, there are other preserves and snacks, do you want anything else?”
“Huh… no, I’m fine. Sakurai-sama.”
“If you want something, just let me know.”
“Yes.”
Lucia-sama smiled and nodded at me, but she hasn’t gotten back in shape yet. I’ve also used heal on her and gave a magic recovery potion, so maybe it’s mental fatigue?
Then it would be good to get some rest. I was about to sit down next to her, but Lucia-sama was staring at me.
“…Aren’t you angry that I came here on my own?”
“I’m worried about you, but I’m not angry with you. I know you’re here because you’re worried about Ishmer-sama, aren’t you, Lucia-sama?”
“Yes. But I lost you all in the middle…”
Oh, that’s because we entered the dungeon… The entrance was hidden, so Lucia-sama probably didn’t notice it. But it was good that she didn’t come into the dungeon. As expected, I can’t perfectly predict what’s going to happen.
After that, while we were chatting for a while, I heard a barking voice from deep in the forest.
“Hmm――! Is that a monster?”
“Hyiaa!”
I quickly put the shield back on and look in the direction of the voice. I didn’t think there were too many strong monsters in this forest, but at night, a nocturnal animal or monster may have come.
The only thing I need to do is ensure Lucia-sama’s safety, and just as I thought that, a rustling of leaves revealed a black owl―about a meter long.
I stepped forward so that the owl’s target would be me.
*miss*
It worked, but this owl―it’s bad.
It’s a sneaky range attack; it attacks with its feathers with the wind that has caused it to spread. The attack reached Lucia-sama behind me, too, for a bit. It was okay because of my shield, but if this exchange continues for a long time, it will be bad.
“[Shield].”
“Sakurai-sama, what should I…”
“I’d like to ask you to run away, but we can’t risk any new monsters coming in… so we’ll stick around for now.”
That said, it’s definitely not a good idea to use magic to make the owl’s target go to Lucia-sama. I have to be careful here.
*miss**miss*
*miss*
“Kyaaa!”
“[Shield].”
It would inevitably hit Lucia-sama. I’ll just have to keep the shield up all the time and endure it, and just when I thought that, the owl seemed to be in pain.
“Hiroki!”
“Lusha!”
Finally, Lusha is back! I’d like to say what the heck she’s been doing, but I have to deal with the owl in front of me right now.”
“Lusha-sama, amazing!”
Lucia-sama’s face lit up, and she clapped. The owl’s back had an arrow stuck deep in it, and I could see that it was causing quite a bit of damage. With this, we’ll be able to take it down in no time.
However, the only thing I’m worried about is that Ruri and Ishmer-sama haven’t come back yet.
“…Let’s take it down quickly, Lusha.”
“Yeah, I got it. You can leave it to me! [Enchant Arrow] [Fire Arrow] [Enchant Arrow] [Wind Arrow].”
“Wow, it’s continuous!”
The arrows Lusha fired, and the effect of the skill affect not only the arrow itself but also the surroundings, increasing the attack range slightly. That made it possible for Wind Arrow to graze the owl’s body and defeat it. As expected of Lusha, it didn’t take long.
…And so, where’s Ruri?
