Chapter 6 – Incident…?

Tina’s POV

“Huh? Hiroki?”

“Eh?”

As I heard Dia suddenly shout out, I turned around. When I looked over, I saw a luxurious carriage driving away. I don’t think Hiroki-san would ever ride in a carriage like that, but it’s Hiroki-san…

“Freutz said he was coming back, right? Did Tina want to see Hiroki?”

“Eh! Well, Hiroki-san has been a big help to me. Dia wants to meet him, too, right?”

I nodded broadly, of course, to Dia, who said in a slightly sulky tone.

“Well, we know Hiroki’s a strong healer.”

“Right! But why is he in that carriage…?”

“I saw a beautiful woman with him, too.”

“A woman?”

“She had dark hair and a purple dress. There may also have been someone else, but I couldn’t see them because of the crowd.”

Hearing Dia’s words, I think to myself, mumumu. There are indeed a lot of people at this time, so I don’t know if there was anyone else besides Hiroki-san and that person. Speaking of the woman with Hiroki-san, it’s probably his partner, Lusha-san. But if she has black hair, it’s probably someone else, right?　

Or is it his… girlfriend? But, Hiroki-san has been busy with the apricot continent! That shouldn’t be true. I shake my head puzzlingly.

“…I wonder if he’s okay.”

“Eh?”

“No, maybe he was taken away in a carriage for being rude to a nobleman, right?”

I hadn’t thought about that at all, so my face quickly turned pale. Hiroki-san is a healer who wields his status value to evasion, so there’s a chance that someone who doesn’t like it will say something to him…! When I think about it, Dia’s reasoning may not be too far off.

“What should we do, Dia, Hiroki-san…”

“We don’t know about it yet! In the meantime, let’s talk to Freutz.”

We hurried back to the Falling Star Pavilion and found Freutz-san drinking happily in the dining room. He’s drinking again today… and I was about to warn him so, but now I had other things to say before that!

“Freutz-san!”

“Oh, Tina and Dia. Welcome back. Did you get the request done today?”

“This is not the time for that!”

“Huh?”

I shouted out to Freutz-san, who was drinking, and his eyes fluttered, but quickly turned serious. Freutz-san knows best that I don’t make jokes.

“Hiroki-san…!”

“Hmm? What’s wrong with Hiroki?”

“He was disrespecting a nobleman, and was taken away by them…!”

As I told him that, almost in tears, Freutz-san’s loud, “Haaaaah!” echoed in the dining room. He looked at Dia and me in turn with a surprised expression on his face and then tilted his head.

“Eh, are you serious?”

“Dia was it, you know!”

“Wait, Tina! I just saw him getting in the carriage, and I have no idea why!”

It’s certainly possible, but it’s an assumption! That’s what Dia says.

“What’s that, it’s just Tina’s assumption, huh?”

“But, Freutz-san, we don’t know exactly, too, isn’t it?”

I puffed out my cheeks when I saw Freutz-san smiling at me. I’m seriously worried about Hiroki-san. But it seemed it was just me.

“Hiroki’s a tough guy, so he’ll be fine. His position is not good, but he’s still very polite. I mean, he’s a lot more polite than Dia or me, right?”

“That’s true, but…”

Remembering Hiroki-san, who had been polite for a while when we got to know each other, it doesn’t seem like he would fight with a nobleman. Even if he said something, he would easily dodge it.

“Come to think of it, Lusha-san…?”

“Aah, I think she went off with Hiroki.”

“Eh?”

I opened my mouth with a pout when Freutz-san told us something I hadn’t expected. If Freutz-san had seen her going out, I’m sure they would be together.

“…I see.”

I feel like I’ve lost out by worrying about them. If the two of them are together, I’m sure they’ll be fine no matter what happens. Freutz-san got up from his seat and patted me on the head.

“Wah! Geez, you’re going to mess it up.”

“Hiroki will be fine. He’ll be back soon enough! Here, let’s get some food.”

At his urging, Dia and I also take our seats and go to eat. I sighed, thinking that today was the day I would meet Hiroki-san. I wish I could go to the dungeon with him, but I’m sure my level is not adequate for him.
