KIKIKI!
The goblin let out a high-pitched laugh and ran towards Ryan. Running towards him, he raised his dagger above his head into the air, “*KIKIKI!* Kill! *KIKIKI!*”
“So this is one of the things that killed Ryan,” Ryan thought as he narrowed his eyes and pulled out his two-handed sword Tyrhung, which appeared on his back the moment he equipped it. He put his right foot forward and left foot back; positioned his right hand on the upper part of the hilt and the left hand on the lower part.
The goblin came in the range of Tyrhung and Ryan slashed downwards.
Tyrhung descended and the goblin’s eyes widened; the weapon collided with the goblin’s neck. He frowned, “That hurts! *KIKIKI!*” he shouted and damage floated up above his head, <-64>. He was reduced to 436 health.
A wall of notification messages flashed before Ryan’s eyes.
“Kill! *KIKIKI!*” The goblin shouted and stabbed towards Ryan with the raised rusty dagger.
Ryan furrowed his eyebrows, “Hitting the neck like that would have killed any human. I guess in this world, humans, noadventurers and creatures like goblins are not so frail that they would die just because you hit their vital area I created a skill. How do I even use these skills?” he thought as he sidestepped to the right which made the goblin’s attack miss.
Ryan took a step forward, “First let’s try by saying the skill I want to use in my headDark Slash!” he thought and suddenly what he need to do appeared in his head. “Let’s try it,” he thought and raised his two-handed weapon Tyrhung into the air and slashed down, “Dark slash!” he shouted. The weapon descended and it got enveloped in a black glow.
The goblin got hit, but this time on his shoulder; the skill that Ryan used and damage floated up above his head, side by side, and he was reduced to 347 health.
“Kill! *KIKIKI!* Must kill human! *KIKIKI!*”
The goblin stabbed towards Ryan and he dodged by sidestepping to the left. After dodging, he stepped forward, “I wonder what happens if I try to use the skill while it’s on cooldown,” he slashed down with his sword, “Dark slash!” A message flashed before his eyes.
Tyrhung collided with the goblin’s head and damage floated up above his head, <-67>; he was reduced to 280 health.
“Kill! *KIKIKI!* Kill human! *KIKIKI!*” the goblin shouted and stabbed again.
“So nothing happened and I just delivered a normal attack,” Ryan thought as he dodged another attack made by the goblin by sidestepping, this time to the right.
<-61>
Damage floated up above the goblin’s head and the last of his health emptied. He fell down to the ground; a few notification messages flashed before Ryan’s eyes.

<+100 XP>
“It’s finally dead. It has never taken me this long to kill someone,” Ryan thought and sheathed his sword. He looked down at the corpse and a memory of the past Ryan flashed through his head. It was a memory of him talking with the attendant girl in an adventurer guild.
“Ryan listen, after you kill the monsters, you have to use the skill on them,” the attendant girl said seriously.
“It’s that skill that I just learnt?” Ryan asked after tilted his head slightly.
The attendant girl nodded, “That’s right, Ryan. By using this skill on the dead monster, you will extract mana from their bodies and it will be materialised in the form of a crystal.”
Ryan’s eyes widened, “Don’t tell me!” he shouted out.
The attendant girl nodded, “That’s right Ryan, these crystals are none other than the premium currency that is used to buy medicine, armour, weapons and more items with magical properties.”
Ryan’s eyes began shining and he mumbled, “I thought that I would have to complete a quest to get the crystals that I need to buy the medicine. But to think, I can get them by using a skill on a dead monster. I can get the medicine my mother needs even today. I just need three, level 1 normal crystals!”
Ryan narrowed his eyes, “I have to review all of Ryan’s memories,” he thought.
Ryan closed his eyes and focused, “This world is called Bistathra. It is vast and it is covered by countless dungeons, all in different locations of the world. No one knows how they appeared and why they appeared, but they were in the Bistathra before the people began to count the years which was 664 years ago I am in the dungeon that is in the heart of the Hope city. Why this city is named like that, no one knows, as the city is the same as the dungeons. It existed before the people had begun to count the years Let’s see what else. Hmm Today Ryan went to the adventurer’s guild and registered. He got the adventurer’s license, a pass to enter the dungeons, learned the skill that extracts mana from monsters and he chose a class.” Ryan thought and opened his eyes.
“A class?” Ryan mumbled; then closed his eyes, focused and his thoughts continued, “He chose the class – mage and he got the ability to open, something called adventurer’s profile. It seems like this adventurer’s profile is a downgraded version of the system that I have.”</goblin,></goblin,>
