King Of Seven Realms - Volume 3 Chapter 68 Blurry Silhouette.
Wang Lei looked at the Primordial Profound Ark as he and others waited for it to open. If Wang Lei wanted, then he could enter it forcefully. But since it was already going to open, then why waste your energy?
Feng Xue’er stood beside him and kept looking at Wang Lei. She wanted to talk to him since the last time she saw him or met him. But because he left after defeating Wentian, she could not.
Now that she has the opportunity to talk with him she wanted to know more about him.
Feng Hengkong and others stood behind them, silently.
“What is your cultivation base, big brother?” Feng Xue’er asked, curiously.
Her question gained the attention of every individual present. None has known yet about Wang Lei’s cultivation base. To them, they could not feel even an ounce of energy on him, making it impossible to tell his cultivation.
Wang Lei’s attention diverted towards her. He was trying to understand the mysteries of Primordial Profound Ark when he heard her question.
He looked at her for some time and released his cultivation base.
Suddenly, an aura of Half-Step Divine Realm engulfed everyone within.
Others, who felt it, could barely stabilize themselves from losing control over their energies.
Feng Xue’er was surprised, feeling his cultivation base. She thought he would be in the Divine Realm by now as he defeated Wentian, who was in the Divine Soul Realm. Bur to her surprise, he was at the same level as her.
But again, she reached her level due to her bloodline and Phoenix’s origin blood, while Wang Lei on his own.
Feng Xue’er was confused; if he is at Half-Step Divine Realm, then how did he defeated Wentian? Wasn’t he of higher cultivation level than him? It is common sense that you cannot defeat someone of a higher level; the same thought occurs to her when the girls were fighting.
Curious, she asked, “Then how did you defeated Wentian, big brother?”
Wang Lei looked at her and smiled. Patting her head, he said, “It does not matter how much strength you have; it is how you utilize it. Though me defeating Wentian had nothing to do with it.”
Feng Xue’er was confused, but just as she was about to ask again with a poof sound, Primordial Profound Ark opened.
Everyone’s attention diverted towards it. They saw a profound formation at the entrance of the Primordial Profound Ark; it shone with different colors, indicating that it has activated and can be used.
Seeing it, Wang Lei, with Feng Xue’er following behind, entered it.
A light shone, covering them and teleporting them inside the ark. Others also followed behind.
—
Opening his eyes, Wang Lei looked at his surroundings. There was nothing much to see as it was all dry and dead.
There was not much vegetation inside as most of it was dying; proof that its energy was being absorbed by something or by itself.
Looking in a certain direction, Wang Lei said, “Let’s go.”
Hearing it, Feng Xue’er stopped looking at her surroundings and followed after him. Both kept walking in a certain direction, changing from time to time.
Feng Xue’er, as curious she was, kept asking Wang Lei different questions. Wang Lei also did not stop and kept answering her. He likes her character quite a lot pure and straight.
Soon they reached in front of an antique door. It was just existing in front of them, with nothing behind just a door existing in space.
“What is this place?!” Feng Xue’er asked, surprised. She has read manuals or scrolls that she found in the Divine Phoenix Library. In those scrolls, everything that has happened in Primordial Profound Ark, so far, is recorded, but there was nothing about this door in front of us.
“Ancient Fortress, at least that what it was called on the wiki,” Wang Lei said as he looked at the door.
“Ancient Fortress? Wiki?” Feng Xue’er was confused as she has never heard those words, well, more for the latter.
Wang Lei shook his head and started to walk towards the door.
As they closed the door, it opened on its own. Feng Xue’er again took over by surprise but seeing Wang Lei impassive, keep walking; she also got over her surprise and followed after him.
A blinding white light took their sights as they entered. Recovering their sights, both saw huge grey structures everywhere an ancient city.
There was nothing but grey, making it quite dull and cold. It was complete silence.
Feng Xue’er got creepy feelings; she got close to him and grips his sleeves.
Wang Lei smiled but did not say anything as he started to walk in a certain direction. They entered a castle and kept walking through many corridors.
A moment later, both reached in front of a door, but it was locked.
‘If I remember correctly, then there must be some button to lock the doors.’ Wang Lei thought.
But after searching for some time with Xue’er, they found nothing.
“It seems that this door does not have a profound formation to open it, big brother.” Xue’er said.
While they were coming here, they have seen formations at every door that opened and closed them, but not this one.
Wang Lei shrugged his shoulders and waved his hand.
A blue flame emerged from his hands and covered the whole door.
Feng Xue’er watched with surprise as the blue flame ‘ate’ the door silently, with no sound produced.
Soon a whole about the size of a human was created.
They walked in and saw a coffin lying in the center of the room. Inside the coffin was a beautiful girl, sleeping peacefully.
She was a petite little girl with long red hair, reaching up to her lower back, ruby-like sparkling red instead of fiery red. A perfect face with immaturity that only a child would possess.
She wore a bright red imperial robe, but her clothes seemed to be very thin, bringing out all the contours of her petite body.
‘Who is she’ she approached her, but just as she was about to touch the coffin, a burst of profound energy came from her behind it, pushing her back, all the way to the door.
She, surprised, look at the back of the coffin; she could see a blurry white silhouette.
She could barely tell that it was the silhouette of a woman.
“Who are you, people?” A voice of a woman came from the silhouette with pressure enough that even Wang Lei felt it.
Feeling the pressure, Wang Lei’s eyes narrowed, “Even as a lingering part of consciousness, you still have this much power; really surprising.”
The blurry silhouette looked (?) towards Wang Lei and asked again, “Who are you?”
‘Is she on loop or something?’
“Just a passerby.” Wang Lei said.
