Kiss Me Not - Chapter 303 The Good Advice
Chapter 303 The Good Advice -UNEDITED-
Kimmy looked at her wristwatch and wondered if Cain was already in the hospital or still Lewis Mansion. Anyhow a smile crept on her face as she walked back towards her car. She felt relieved that she finally let out those feelings towards her father. It was like a knife stuck on her chest got lifted.
At that moment, Kimmy wanted to rush back to Cain’s arms, so she immediately grabbed her mobile phone to call him.
“Miss me already?” Cain teased from another line. Kimmy chuckled and said, “Hmm, how do you know? Sadly, we can’t meet yet since I have an appointment. Where are you now?”
“Cain narrowed his eyes and said, “You said you have an appointment, so why are you asking where I am?”
Kimmy rolled her eyes. Having a psychology expert boyfriend had its pros and cons.
“Can’t I ask where you are now? Hmph, then don’t tell me if you don’t want to,” Kimmy scoffed, making Cain chuckle from another line.
“I’m still here at the Lewis Mansion with father, my princess. I have no plans to go out. I will just hang out with father while waiting for your call to ask me to come or pick you up…” Cain commented with a smile.
“Fine, I will just call you later, okay. Wait for it. Bye,” Kimmy said and quickly ended the call.
She had an enthusiastic smile on her face, thinking of what she should bring for uncle Daniel since she would head to Lewis’s mansion.
She was already inside the car when her mobile phone rang. It was Harry. She was glad that Harry returned her call since she would get worried if he would not call or message her within the day.
“I saw your missed call,” Harry said from another line.
“Yeah, I would like to check on you. Also, I will have someone to tour you around,” Kimmy commented.
“No, it’s alright, Kimmy. I will not stay long. I will wrap up the business matters today, and I will fly back tomorrow.” Harry commented.
“Oh, alright. Let me just pacify my boyfriend a bit. Then maybe next time I will make it up to you. And for sure in time, he won’t get jealous anymore,” Kimmy said.
Harry chuckled and said, “tell him that there’s no need to be jealous since I will not do anything since I respect your decision. I hope for the best for you, Kimmy. As long as you’re happy, then that is good enough for me. You help me a lot during my dark days, and I’m more than grateful to have you as my friend.”
Harry bid his farewell soon, and the call ended. Kimmy sighed. She felt terrible for him, but she was glad that Harry took things positively. He indeed was a strong man, and she hoped that he met someone he deserved, someone that would brighten his life and take him out from the shadow of his past.
She drove her car and stopped over at the bakery shop to buy some bread and pastries uncle Daniel loved, then went back in her car and drove to Lewis Mansion. She was listening to the news on the radio, and her grip on the wheel tightened as she heard.
The criminal responsible for kidnapping baby Gavin and the death of her aunt Cecilia was on trial, and it was broadcast live by the media for the people to follow. Olivia would not delay it, and as she expected, the trial ended earlier than expected since there was enough evidence against Duncan. He received a guilty verdict with a death sentence.
She wondered how uncle Lucas reacted after her mother told him the actual situation with her husband. Later, she would find out about it at dinner, but for now, all she wanted to do was see her boyfriend hug him tightly.
She soon arrived at Lewis Mansion and went directly inside. The servants already knew her since she stayed inside the mansion too.
“Where is uncle?” Kimmy asked the butler.
“He went up with Sir Cain. It’s time for his nap, and Sir Cain walked him to his room,” The butler answered.
“I will tell them you’re here, Ma’am,” the butler added. He was about to leave, but Kimmy stopped him.
“No need. Here, this is for uncle. You can give it to him later once he wakes up. I will go up to my room,” Kimmy said and quickly left the butler to go up.
She smiled when she saw Cain in the hallway. He just got out of his father’s room and walked straight to his room. She had a naughty smile on her face as she quietly followed him. She slightly and quietly opened his door and entered his room. He was standing on the balcony.
Kimmy rushed towards him and hugged Cain from his back.
“Surprise,” she whispered, hugging him tightly.
Cain chuckled and quickly turned around so they could hug facing each other.
“I thought you still had an appointment?” Cain whispered as he buried his lips on Kimmy’s head, inhaling her scent and giving it light kisses.
“Hmm, I don’t know why but I had the urge to see you after talking to my father,” Kimmy said.
“You’re starting to get clingy on me, and I like it,” Cain said with a bright smile on his face.
“How was it? The talk with your father,” he asked.
“I finally told him what I felt. I don’t know why it took me this long to talk to him about it, but I’m glad I listened to you and told him everything I wanted to say to him. Thank you, Cain,” Kimmy said.
She tilted her head to stare at him. She had a beautiful smile on her face while staring at him, and Cain felt his heart sink deep into those beautiful smiles.
“Thank you so much,” Kimmy repeated. She moved and placed her arms on Cain’s neck and pulled him closer while she tip-toed so she could kiss him.
Her kiss was so slow and gentle as she whispered, “I want to reward you for the good advice…”
Cain blinked as Kimmy pulled him inside his bedroom, wondering what could be the reward she meant.
