Koji Fights The World - Chapter 15 Sibling Rivalry
Once Koji recharged his Qi, his instructor spoke up. “Okay, now you are ready to add a quick rotation to your kick. Try it,” King Aphraphus ordered.
“Yes, Sifu!” Koji jumped, kicked his leg out, and tried to spin his body around.
“NO!” the teacher yelled. “You need to spin and jump at the SAME TIME,” he emphasized.
The student tilted his head and gave the instructions some thought. Suddenly, a light bulb went off as Koji thought of figure skating and how performers rotated and jumped simultaneously. He spun and hopped at the same time, but managed only a half-rotation.
“You’re on the right track!” Aphraphus said with encouragement.
Koji channeled his Qi and repeated the spin and jump several times before he finally got the timing right.
“Good!” The king clapped his hands. “Okay, I need you to practice this move for the next several hours until a servant summons you to dinner. Take a break as necessary to cultivate and recharge your Qi. I can’t stay and watch because I have other appointments. Zelea will be in charge during my absence,” he announced.
“Yes, Sifu!” Koji bowed and accepted his teacher’s orders. The young man sat and started his meditation.
“Keep an eye on him for me, sweetie,” King Aphraphus said with a wink and a laugh. As he left the courtyard, the king waved his hand over his shoulder.
Once her father was gone, Zelea ditched her snake body and transformed into a human. She sat cross-legged behind Koji and leaned her back against his. The princess closed her eyes and cultivated.
The Bonder felt his Bond Keeper behind him, and Koji didn’t mind. He focused on cultivating his Qi until his Lower Dantian refilled again. Koji quietly climbed to his feet and moved away from Zelea. He practiced the Hurricane Kick technique diligently because Koji wanted to reach the Master-Tier proficiency in this skill ASAP.
When the sun finally touched the horizon, Zelea intervened in Koji’s training session. “Stop! It’s time to go back,” she said.
Koji huffed as he struggled to remain on his feet. His hips and knees trembled from all the jumping and spinning he did this afternoon. However, his will refused to yield to Koji’s physical exhaustion.
Zelea became exasperated by this brave front. She returned to her lamia form and then slithered toward Koji. Abruptly, she held him in a princess carry and slid out of the courtyard.
Initially, Koji balked at the idea of being carried by a woman. He couldn’t bear this humiliation in front of all those guards and servants inside the palace! But after much cajoling, he finally succumbed to her command.
The lamia returned Koji to his room. When she encountered a servant, Princess Zelea ordered, “I need a basin of hot water and a change of clothing brought to my Consort’s room.”
“Yes, Princess!” the servant bowed and immediately rushed away from the couple. To her credit, the girl performed these tasks quickly, and she returned to Koji’s room with a basin of hot water, soap, a towel, and a fresh change of clothing.
Zelea gently laid her bonder in a chair. When the servant started removing his sweaty clothes, the princess stopped him. “I’ll do it. Leave,” Zelea ordered in a harsh tone of voice.
The girl caught wind of the princess’ anger and became frightened. “Yes, Princess!” the servant replied. She bowed deeply and quietly left the room.
The lamia exhaled a deep breath. While Zelea regretted scaring the servant girl like this, she had to stop the girl from touching her man! The thought of another woman seeing Koji’s naked body made Zelea jealous, and the wife became angry with the servant.
Zelea scrutinized Koji’s face while he was asleep. He was young and handsome. Although he looked Asian at first glance, his bright blue eyes revealed his mixed ancestry. She didn’t mind, though, because it made him look more attractive to him. Frankly, Zelea loved him at first sight. When she saw him fight like a fierce lion in the arena, she knew he would be the survivor of the Deathmatch. Zelea quickly decided to claim him as her Bonder even if this meant fighting big sister Daethix over him!
Zelea carefully stripped the soiled clothing off Koji’s body. She used her hands to wash him and touched every part of his firm figure. The Bond Keeper was surprised by his firmness for a moment, but then she remembered that Koji had reached the Intermediate-Tier in Body Refinement, a skill which hardened the body.
When she washed his crotch, Zelea mustered every ounce of her formidable Will to resist stroking his little dragon. She wanted to clean and clothe him before Koji awakens. Therefore, Zelea couldn’t risk waking him up by stirring his loins.
With a deep sigh, she stared at his rod one more time before focusing on his legs and feet. Once Zelea finished drying her bonder’s body with the towel, she shifted to the task of putting clothing on Koji. She had no difficulty putting on his shirt, but his pants were a different matter. His butt glued to his seat, and it was difficult to lift Koji’s body while pulling his pants up at the same time. For once, Zelea wished she possessed a second pair of arms. While she possessed the Telekinesis skill, Zelea was only in the Intermediate-Tier rather than Expert-Tier like Daethix. Thus, Zelea could not lift Koji’s body with her ability.
Well, if Zelea couldn’t dress her bonder correctly, then there was only one alternative. Her face drew closer to his, and she kissed him. Her snake tongue slipped through his lips and roamed inside his mouth. She tickled him until Koji finally awoke. Zelea reluctantly pulled her tongue out of him. “Had a nice nap?” she teased him gently.
Koji’s cheeks flushed with embarrassment. He looked down and saw that his pants were pulled up to mid-thigh. The Bonder immediately understood what happened. “Um, could you please turn around while I dress?” he requested politely.
Zelea folded her arms across her chest, framing and squeezing her small breasts. “Why? I’ve already touched your entire body when I bathed you while you slept,” she revealed with a lusty grin.
Koji frowned at this revelation. “Just do it!” he hissed.
The princess rolled her eyes and relented. “Oh, fine! I’ll let you keep your tiny bit of modesty,” she huffed and turned her face away.
Koji kept his eyes on her as he pulled his pants up and buttoned his shirt. “Done!” he declared.
Zelea turned to face him and ordered, “Stand up.”
He obeyed.
The princess slowly slithered in a circle to examine her husband from every side. Zelea pulled on his right left to straighten out the fabric, which had bunched up tightly. She also brushed aside a strand of hair on his shoulder. “That’s better,” she said in satisfaction; Koji now looked presentable in the banquet hall.
Zelea looked out the small window and grimaced. The sky was darkening; this meant that a servant would come to take them to dinner soon. “I need to return to my room to freshen up. Stay here until a servant summons you to attend dinner,” the princess ordered.
He simply nodded. Koji sat on his bed and began to cultivate.
Princess Zelea returned to her room and changed into the new outfit. The young lamia checked the mirror as she combed her hair. Even though she wore a short pixie style cut, Zelea needed to brush her hair periodically because otherwise, the strands would form knots. She was only half-done with combing her hair when a servant knocked on her door.
“Princess Zelea, it’s time for dinner,” a young girl called out.
The princess responded, “Come in.” Once the servant entered, Lamia ordered, “Comb my hair.”
“Right away, princess,” the girl replied meekly and immediately took the jade comb. She took a moment to check Zelea’s hair and identified the sections which needed her assistance. The servant spent five minutes to straighten Princess Zelea’s hair. “Your hair is done,” she announced and stepped back.
Zelea checked her hair in the mirror and confirmed that her hair looked adequately groomed. “I’m very pleased with your work,” she said grudgingly.
The servant curtsied. “Thank you, Princess!”
“Go get Koji,” the princess ordered.
The girl quickly crossed the bedroom and held the door open for Princess Zelea. Then the servant knocked loudly on Koji’s door while Zelea waited in the hall. “Prince Consort, it’s time for dinner,” the servant announced.
A few seconds later, Koji opened the door. He smiled at the servant and walked over to his wife. She grabbed his arm, and the couple followed the servant to the banquet hall. As usual, they were the last members of the Royal Family to arrive.
King Aphraphus smiled broadly at his son-in-law once Koji took his seat at the table. “How was your training after I left?” he inquired.
Zelea interjected before Koji could answer. “No problem, father. My husband worked diligently this afternoon,” she assured him.
The king nodded. “In that case, I want you to take your bonder to the library. You may seek a dual-cultivation scroll,” Aphraphus replied.
Abruptly, someone slammed a fist on the table, causing the wine and tea to spill out of cups. All eyes turned toward the source: First Prince Heretrios!
“Do you have something to say, son?” Aphraphus asked calmly.
“Please forgive me for losing my temper, father, but I am opposed to giving this foreigner a dual-cultivation scroll so soon! He requires further testing,” the young prince answered.
“Choose your words with care, Heretrios!” the king admonished his son. “Although I have lived in the Four Winds for almost four decades, some people still view me as a foreigner,” Aphraphus pointed out.
The first prince immediately lowered his head. “I mean no disrespect, father.”
The king raised his hand. “It’s fine. I am merely pointing out that my circumstance is very similar to Koji’s, and he has demonstrated enough talent to become my successor as king someday. However, if you disagree, then I suggest that you fight him personally and taste his strength,” Aphraphus suggested with a laugh.
Heretrio’s eyes lit up at the idea. He turned and faced Koji directly. “May I trouble you with a spar after dinner, brother-in-law?”
Koji nodded. “I accept as long as it’s a friendly match. I have no desire for a Deathmatch with you,” he added.
“Me neither,” the first prince replied with a smirk.
“Fantastic!” King Aphraphus clapped his hands and laughed. Abruptly, his eyes turned serious. “Heretrios, what will you wager?”
His son frowned. “Why should I wager anything?” he asked.
“It’s entertaining that way,” Third Princess Daethix interrupted.
The two siblings engaged in a staring contest until Heretrios lost. He turned toward Koji. “If I lose, I will gift you a saber and teach you to use it.”
“Excellent!” the king approved. “Now, what about you, Koji?” he asked with a big grin. “My son is a strong fighter,” King Aphraphus warned.
“I will teach you a set of pressure points,” Koji answered.
“You mean you will teach a bit of your Dim-Mak martial art?” King Aphraphus clarified.
The son-in-law nodded.
“Excellent!” the king nodded. He was curious about the martial art known as the “Death Touch.” Once Heretrios learn some of the skills, King Aphraphus could “convince” his son to pass the information to the king. He grinned at the prospect.
The servants returned with trays. Tonight, the chef served dumpling noodle soup.
“All of us will watch the fight after dinner,” Queen Herecia announced. She glanced at Second Prince Cyreas and Third Princess Daethix. Her son frowned at the notion of wasting time watching two muscleheads fight. The daughter was delighted because she expected Koji to use Qi during the match; this meant his seal would break even sooner.
The Royal Family ate their meals quietly, with each patron lost in his thoughts.
