Koji Fights The World - Chapter 34 Kojis Big Decision
When Koji finally returned to his room, he sat in a chair and looked out the window. The past few days were too eventful for him, and Koji needed to take a breather and step back. Specific incidents cast a pall over his head. First, he broke with Sifu Man’s teachings by using Dim-Mak to kill people in the arena. While Daethix had ordered the other newcomers to kill him, Koji could have granted mercy as he did with Brother Zhao, the Wing Chun practitioner whom Koji left alive with a few broken ribs.
But for some reason, Koji felt unease when he thought about this act of mercy. His instincts told Koji that Brother Zhao was the one person Koji should have killed in the arena. Koji had no idea what happened to the man. But he knew that their fates intertwined, and Koji will see Brother Zhao again someday.
The second problem was the exchange of Koji’s seed for the one-thousand-year-old ginseng root. He had no idea that Ajuga would invade his body with her vines; this situation was like a sequel to the Invasion of the Body Snatchers movie. It frightened Koji to turn into a helpless observer inside his body. Even though the dryad allowed him to leave her secret Sanctuary, Koji would never feel safe again inside a forest because Ajuga could come back for him at any time.
Also, the dryad only let Koji go after she became pregnant. Koji wasn’t sure how he felt about fatherhood. While he gave Zelea an excellent response, Koji couldn’t be sure he’ll give the same answer when a young child directly asks him to return to Ajuga’s home. He resolved to cross that bridge when he reaches it.
The most immediate problem, though, was Koji’s betrothal to Third Princess Daethix Colarte Nephosia. Since Ajuga had removed the seals on his dantians, Koji was not a cripple anymore. Even worse, his advancement to Rank 7 made Koji highly qualified to marry Daethix in her parents’ eyes. Thus, Koji wouldn’t be surprised if Daethix completes the bonding ritual with him in the next several days.
Should Koji obediently submit or not? And if he decides to reject Daethix, what can he do it about it? Koji felt that this decision was a real game changer for his destiny. If he becomes her Bonder, then he will also become her husband and the next King of Nephosia. If he rejects the marriage, Koji will become a fugitive on the run. Can he convince Zelea to leave Nephosia with him? In his heart, Koji believed the answer was no because his wife was loyal to the kingdom, and she will sacrifice her bond with Koji if necessary. Thus, Koji will receive zero assistance from Zelea if he runs away.
But going through the bond ritual with Daethix carries a heavy burden as well. A few days ago, Koji was a college sophomore with a part-time job at a pizzeria and trained at the dojo. But now, he was a member of the Royal Family by marriage to one princess and about to marry the other princess. Furthermore, Daethix was the idol of the kingdom, and she had many admirers. By marrying her, Koji would surely receive scorn if they felt he was unworthy of Daethix.
Suddenly, Koji recalled a memory of Daethix from the time both sisters visited the bathhouse with him, and the trio bathed together. The two lamias were naked, and the image of these beautiful women from the waist up had reappeared in his mind. When Daethix and Zelea leaned on his shoulder, Koji had felt like the luckiest man alive. Their soft, tender breasts caressed his arms, giving him goosebumps. He had to resist the urge to screw both of them on the spot.
If Koji marries Daethix and they perform the bonding ritual, then he will take her precious virginity, too! This thought pleased him very much. Although Koji and Daethix were like oil and water in temperament, he was proud of the fact that she deemed him worthy of being her husband and Bonder. Besides, Koji hated the thought of letting another man take her virginity.
In the end, he was only nineteen years old, and Koji had warmed to the notion of creating an imperial harem with the two princesses. Thus, Koji decided to submit to the bonding ritual with Daethix. He looked forward to it. Hopefully, the lamia won’t wrap her snake body around him like a vise during the ceremony. Otherwise, he would be nothing more than a sex toy to her.
With this matter of the heart resolved, Koji climbed into bed and soon fell asleep.
***
Koji awoke at the crack of dawn. Glorious rays of purple sunlight filtered through the curtain at the window and struck his eyes. The young man felt refreshed from a good night’s sleep. He rolled off his bed, washed his face and brushed his teeth. He dressed and quietly left the room.
Standing outside, Koji slowly stretched his body. He bounced lightly on his toes like a boxer and threw a few jabs. He started shadow boxing while facing the pond.
Frogs sat on lily pads and watched as Koji exercised his body. When they saw that he stopped, the animals hopped away. “Ribbit-ribbit!”
Koji heard the sound and smiled. He stopped his exercise and walked toward the bathhouse to wash the sweat from his body. Unfortunately, he lacked a sense of direction. Koji noticed several guards stationed nearby and walked over to them. “Which way to the bathhouse?” he asked.
“Prince Consort, please follow this hall and then make a left turn until you reach a separate building,” the guard answered politely.
“Thank you,” Koji replied and followed the man’s instructions. When he stumbled upon the bathhouse, he opened the sliding door and entered only to find the king and queen inside!
“Sorry!” Koji replied in a panic. He backed out and started to close the door.
“Come in, Koji!” a female voice called out. It belonged to Queen Herecia.
“Please pardon my intrusion,” the young man replied with a bow from his waist. He entered the bathhouse and walked to the right side where an attendant stood in front of a table. Koji removed his clothing and laid flat on his stomach.
The servant started washing his body with scented soap. Then the middle-aged woman gave Koji a relaxing massage. Fifteen minutes later, she said, “Please enter the pool, Prince Consort.”
Koji rolled off the table, and the attendant wrapped a thick white towel around his waist. The young man strolled across the floor and slowly entered the pool.
“About time!” King Aphraphus grumbled, earning a pinch on his bicep from his wife. He winced at the pain and immediately closed his mouth.
“I didn’t realize you’re such an early riser, Koji,” the queen praised him with a gentle smile. She knew that Koji was nervous. Thus, Queen Herecia tried to put her son-in-law at ease.
“You too,” the young man said with a shy grin. “Back on Earth, I was a college student, and my classes usually start early. So I’m accustomed to getting up early to reach my classroom on time,” Koji explained.
“I see,” the king nodded. This explanation elevated Aphraphus’ opinion of Koji even higher. Talent alone is worthless without hard work to polish that ability. From what King Aphraphus had seen, Koji was a hard worker with a higher work ethic than any of his children.
Koji sat next to his father-in-law and closed his eyes to relax.
The two parents saw this and quietly cultivated inside the pool.
With his Qi Perception, Koji immediately noticed two whirlpools of Qi forming next to him–one belonging to the king and the other to the queen. He stared in awe as the experienced cultivators drew in enormous amounts of Yin and Yang Qi from their surrounding along with elemental energy. However, Koji noticed that neither pulled the wood elemental into their body. From this observation, Koji confirmed the rarity of his wood affinity.
The Prince Consort started cultivating, too. With his mind’s eye, he watched as the Yang Qi plus the elemental energy of Earth, Water, and Wood circulated through his meridian lines and entered his dantians for refinement.
The trio cultivated for a half-hour.
The head servant in the room kept an eye on the timepiece in the corner. Once the hour had passed, she quietly approached the pool but didn’t enter it. “Your Highness, it’s time,” she said.
The king and queen opened their eyes.
The attendant became startled when she saw their eyes glow with strong energy! She almost slipped and fell into the water!
King Aphraphus laughed. “Am I that frightening?” he teased.
His wife pinched the king’s ear and pulled him off the ground. “Let’s return to our room, dear,” she said.
Koji quickly stood up. “Um, before you leave, I have a question,” he said meekly.
“Yes?” Queen Herecia urged him gently to ask.
“When will Daethix and I perform the bonding ritual?” Koji asked; his cheeks turned red.
The king slapped his thigh. Whack! “Hahahaha! You can’t wait for your wedding night with Daethix, eh?” he teased, earning a face slap from Herecia. Whap!
She turned from her idiotic husband and smiled sweetly at her son-in-law. “That’s up to you and Daethix. You should talk to her about it,” the queen advised.
Koji bowed from his waist. “I will, mother-in-law,” he promised.
The trio got out of the pool, dried their bodies with the assistance of the attendants, and quickly returned to their rooms.
