Koji Fights The World - Chapter 44 Infamy
While members of the Royal Family slept during the morning and afternoon, skipping meals in the process, the palace was abuzz with gossip. The guardsmen who entered Daethix’ room told others about the young couple’s dual-cultivation. And oh, the noise from their lovemaking! They could not believe how much Princess Zelea was moaning and screaming last night!
Personal attendants of the king and queen confirmed that the Royal Couple stood guard while Koji and Zelea engaged in dual-cultivation. Their actions situation were unusual because trustworthy guards regularly performed this duty. Their inexplicable refusal to delegate last night made the guardsmen lose face.
The servant girls envied Zelea for finding a stud who could last an incredible twelve hours in bed! But some of the more mature women inside the palace pitied the princess because they recognized the difficulty of sexually satisfying a young bull with an enormous sexual appetite. Thus, they encouraged the younger women to spend money buying soap, perfume, and beauty products to make themselves look more attractive in case the Prince Consorts starts seeking concubines to sate his lust.
The guards thanked Koji in their hearts because all the flowers in the palace were blooming, and they knew it was due to him.
Princess Daethix awoke in the morning. She saw that Koji and Zelea were exhausted from their dual-cultivation. She felt happy for her little sister for bonding with such a capable man. She felt envious that the two could rut for so long despite having an audience. Finally, Daethix felt fear because she couldn’t imagine losing her mind in sexual ecstasy as Zelea did. As the future queen of Nephosia, Daethix strived to be in control all the time. The prospect of losing herself–to a man at that–was very disconcerting to her.
The third princess felt soreness in her back. Daethix realized the cause was her couch; it was hard and not meant for sleeping. Thus, she crawled onto Koji’s side of the bed. She cuddled against his firm back and promptly fell asleep.
At dusk, a sound appeared. It was a small but persistent knock on the door. It sounded like a woodpecker hammering its sharp beak against a piece of wood. “Tatatatatatata!” “Tatatatatata!” “Tatatatata!”
Princess Daethix belatedly opened her eyes and rolled off the bed. With a huff, she opened the door and saw a servant girl standing before her. Daethix recognized the girl as the one from the kitchen which became Koki’s attendant.
“I apologize for disturbing your rest, Your Highness. The King and Queen have summoned all of three of you to the banquet hall for dinner,” the girl informed the princess with a respectful bow.
Daethix stifled a yawn. “I’ll be there soon, Lin Lin,” she answered with a sharp nod.
Surprise crossed the girl’s face because she didn’t think the princess would remember the servant’s name. Lin Lin curtsied and waited in the hallway.
The third princess turned around and checked the bed. To her dismay, Daethix discovered that Koji and Zelea were still asleep. A malicious grin appeared on Daethix’ face. She channeled her Yin Qi and pulled the heavy blanket off them. Then Daethix used her telekinesis to shake the bed. “Earthquake!” she shouted suddenly.
Soon, the young couple awoke. Koji and Zelea opened their eyes and looked wearily at Daethix while they laid in her bed.
“My parents expect us to show up for dinner,” the third princess explained.
The two stared blankly at her for a moment as the words bounced inside their brains. Suddenly, their eyes widened and darted to the window. Their faces became terrified when they discovered it was nightfall! Koji and Zelea immediately rolled off the bed and hurried to put on their clothes.
When the trio left the room, they saw Lin Lin waiting outside.
The servant girl bowed deeply and led them to the banquet hall.
When the royal children arrived, they saw that King Aphraphus was drinking wine already. Queen Herecia was playing the zither nearby. Prince Heretrios sat with a bored facial expression while Prince Cyreas kept a blank face and stared off into space.
“Sorry we’re late,” Koji apologized on behalf of himself and the two princesses. Since he was the lowest person on the totem pole, Koji tried to pull blame away from his wife and fiance.
The king grinned and waved the apology dismissively. “I’m surprised you could move about today. You were dual-cultivating with Zelea for twelve hours non-stop,” the father-in-law said with open admiration.
Heretrios’ eyes widened in surprise while a brief look of disgust crossed his brother’s face.
But the three lamias caught the fleeting emotion. They couldn’t understand Prince Cyreas’ reaction.
The trio finally joined the table, and the servants immediately brought out trays of food.
Koji was surprised when he saw a big bowl of soup. He stirred it with his spoon and discovered that his meal consisted of ginseng, Chinese medicinal herbs, and meat of unknown origin. He turned his head around and asked the servant standing behind him. “What kind of meat is in my soup?” Koji asked.
King Aphraphus raised his hand to interrupt the attendant. “I will answer for her. I sent hunters to retrieve the bodies of the two mountain lions that you killed. Since you killed these powerful beasts, I made sure the chef cooked the best part of the male lion–including his penis,” he explained with a big grin.
Koji stared blankly at his father-in-law. “Um, are you joking?”
“Do I look like I would joke about this?” the king snorted.
The young man’s face soured as he stared at the soup. He was famished, and the food smelled good! However, he disliked the idea of eating an animal’s penis, even though he understood this was rare Asian cuisine. Koji noticed that all eyes on the table trained on him. If he rejected the soup which his father-in-law especially ordered the cook to prepare for Koji to eat, then this was the same as slapping the king’s face.
Koji steeled his heart and started eating the soup. However, he was crying in his heart.
“Hahahaha!” The king and first prince erupted in laughter as they watched Koji eat the soup.
Abruptly, Queen Herecia clapped her hands.
The servants placed bowls of soup in front of Aphraphus, Heretrios, and Cyreas.
The three men’s faces turned from surprise to disgust as they smelled the food and realized it was the same as Koji’s!
“You can either feed yourself voluntarily, or I can force you to eat your soup,” Queen Herecia announced.
“It tastes great!” Koji added helpfully. But he was rejoicing in his heart because father-in-law and brothers-in-law would share his misery shortly. Koji turned to face his mother-in-law, who nodded her head subtly. He felt gratitude toward Queen Herecia for backing him.
Koji relied on his Indominable Spirit to overcome his disgust with the food and finished his special meal. He watched as the three men sitting across from him ate the soup. Koji tried hard not to laugh at the trio.
King Aphraphus finished his soup first. The man immediately gulped a few cups of red wine to wash away the foul taste of the soup. He looked across the table at Koji. “You should not dual-cultivate again until you refined all the Yin Qi in your Dantians,” he advised. “Otherwise, the continuous circulation of Yin Qi across your meridian lines can damage them,” he warned.
Koji bowed respectfully to his father-in-law. The young cultivator didn’t realize that Yin Qi could damage his body. He waited for his wife to finish her meal of grilled fish. Then Koji rose from his seat.
King Aphraphus held up his hand. “Don’t practice in the courtyard tonight. Cultivate and refine the Yin Qi inside your body,” he commanded.
Koji bowed from his waist. “Yes, father-in-law!”
Zelea looped her arm through his and nodded at her parents. The young couple departed the hall together. When they reached their bedrooms, the young lovers kissed and bid each other good night.
Koji entered his room and sat cross-legged on his bed. The young cultivator used his mind’s eyes to examine the various types of Qi circulating inside his body. He discovered a vast cloud of darkness swirling inside his Middle Dantian. Koji gathered his concentration and began to refine the Yin Qi.
At first, this foreign energy ignored his command. But Koji refused to give up. He utilized his Indominable Spirit and imagined a vacuum sucking up the raindrops of Yin Qi. He trapped them inside the vacuum bag and forcibly condensed the Qi. He felt pain as the Yin Qi refused to comply and tried to escape!
Koji gritted his teeth until his gums began to bleed. He redoubled his effort to condense the stubborn energy until a black dot formed in his dantian. Once the speck of Yin Qi appeared, the dust soon gathered as if under the influence of a magnet. The black dot grew slowly at first, but its growth eventually became rapid until all the dark cloud finally disappeared. At the center of Koji’s Middle Dantian stood a black Qi stone the size of a pebble.
Koji opened his eyes and felt his mental exhaustion. He collapsed on his bed and lost consciousness.
