La Serpiente, Foxy cursed bride in CEO Ghost’s lair - Chapter 140
“Dear cousin, you were worrying over nothing. You have gotten a lioness for yourself who can take care of herself and can possibly tame you too.”
Jade Lombardi established a telepathic connection with Sinclair, who was currently in the meeting roo.
“Haha, is she right? By the way what happened on your side, give me briefings, Jade.”
Sinclair was getting impatient as soon as he had a hunch about the danger lurking around Syna, thus he called over Jade who was sleeping at home when Sinclair gave her a call.
[ Flashback of a few moments earlier ]
“Hello?”
“Jade, I need your help.”
“No way, why the hell you have called me at this hour, knowing that I would be asleep?”
Jade was laying on the bicep of her husband with her lids closed, as soon as she heard Sinclair’s voice which was laced with anxious tone, the lady burst out onto him while she restrained herself from yelling as Lombardi was asleep by her side.
“Don’t say like this, Jade. I seriously need your help.”
Sinclair almost pleaded to his cousin on the call, the Lord did not have any more spare moments to go back to his cabin to rescue Syna or to see what danger was surrounding her, that made the great Sinclair MacLaverty impatient and anxious at the same time.
“I’m out Sinclair, you have to solve your own problems. Grow up man, you are still asking me to play that drama again? Aren’t you?”
Jade was still angry on Sinclair upon the play for which he had persuaded Jade and she agreed to play earlier.

[ Flashback from chapter eighty four/ 84 ]
“Hello! my love.”
Jade Lombardi was standing there in her short plum coloured dress and obviously she addressed Sinclair with that sugary tone. Syna was still unaware of her relationship to Sinclair let alone the fact about her being married and having a son.
“What are you doing here?”
Sinclair returned her greeting with a question but his tone was shocking yet polite.
“Aw! What a rude greeting. Obviously I’m here for a dessert.”
She replied waving her one hand, then she overlooked Syna. Sinclair crafted out a play as he guided his lovely, kind cousin through telepathy.
“Can I join you both?”
She questioned both but her eyes were stitched with Syna’ deadly glare. The innocent lady mistook Jade for another slut who was chasing her Sinclair like Braille Matteo.
“No! We are here for our private moments.”
Syna refused her flatly in one go. Jade cursed Sinclair through telepathy as she proceeded further with her role of homewrecker! The lady was far better in acting comparatively the top female actors.
“Oh! Like you used to spend with me. I miss those physical pleasures!”
She stressed upon the last two words obviously to see Syna’ expressions as Sinclair wanted to see her passion in their relationship. Obviously who the hell enjoys those kind of moments in public?

[ Resuming their conversation on phone call ]
“No, actually that is not the case this time. I need you to check on Syna right now, if you can come to the company.”
Sinclair let out a nervous chuckle upon remembering the scenario of that day, his poor cousin was labelled as a homewrecker by none other than his beloved bride, Syna Rhys.
“What you mean by check on Syna? Is everything alright? What have you done with her? I will kick your ass Sinclair, if you plan on to take revenge on that poor soul, you have to admit that she was under the spell when she killed you in previous life! Don’t let your manly ego destroy your relationship once again, buddy.”
Jade glanced at Lombardi after lecturing Sinclair, which was necessary as the demand of the situation, the lady suspected that maybe his cousin had been involved into harming his bride, who was naive in the past life and the enemies successfully manipulated her and succeeded in killing the Lord.
“For fuck’s sake, Jade! I didn’t do anything to her and why would I do that to her, when you had told me every single truth about that night.”
Sinclair blurted out immediately without a pause, he couldn’t bear to get accused with such a thing, which was certainly not in his mind.
“I’m glad that you understood the things, then what is it? For which you are calling me?”
Jade turned around to snuggle into her husband’s broad chest, who was awake by now and placed his hand on her big round tummy.
“Actually I have an important meeting to attend in a few minutes, I’m just worried about her, could you please come to keep her company for a while or just keep a check on her until I get free.”
Sinclair narrated the whole thing to her in single go, his tone showed how impatient he was while worrying about his bride.
“Uh, okay, I will arrive in a few minutes. Don’t worry, I will take care of her and will clear the misunderstandings too.”
Jade placed an emphasis on the last part as she ended the call, and the very moment her husband locked his lips with hers.
Meanwhile, on the other side Sinclair was standing by the full sized glass window, a seriousness was hovering on his face which soon turned into a meaningful grin, then a chuckle.

[ Back into the present ]
Jade recalled the scene how Syna stepped for herself and defended, she didn’t require anyone’s help to pull her out of the mess.
“Huh, what? Would you dare to spout those nonsense again in front of her? Slander me, assassinating my character, huh? What? Why have you all suddenly become deaf and mute?”
Syna jumped into the conversation with an angry tone, she would have handled the bunch of women all by herself but now sensing that how much those ladies were restraining themselves from spouting nonsense, Syna decided to use the opportunity to make them realise with whom they were messing.
The situation seemed as if the tables hand turned already and now the badass lady was Syna, with her rescuer Jade Lombardi supporting her back, while a satisfactory smile was decorating her face after she witnessed that Syna could fight everyone all by herself, and had the strong chances of winning.
Jade Lombardi became satisfied and stood there watching Syna to take the charge, as the lady was provoking the mob of female staff.
