La Serpiente, Foxy cursed bride in CEO Ghost’s lair - Chapter 144
As soon as the lady strode in, the door suddenly shut without a noise nearly silently that Syna did not even know until she turned around, when a few feminine voices pricked her ears, the bride could not recognize because of feeble chattering, the voices were near her perhaps right outside the door yet they seemed familiar.
Someone was outside the room, Syna placed her hand on the door knob, turned it and pulled but to her horror it was locked!
“Fuck! It is locked”
Syna kicked the door in irritation and then again banged it while cursing.
“I knew this bitch was planning something, heh! Syna how did you fall for her sugary words and that Chloe, oh my goodness, she was also involved in this!”
Syna covered her lips in a daze and a rage boiled within her after the realization stuck her that Chloe was also Jade’s secretary and how could she believe that the lady wasn’t like her ma’am.
“Ughh! Syna, you dumb girl!”
The bride clenched her fist and banged it on the door, while in the response of her agitation she just heard some feeble giggles.
“Where’s my phone? Let me give a call to Sinclair.”
Reflexively she moved her hands on hips, totally forgetting that she wasn’t wearing jeans and left her handbag on the table in Sinclair’s cabin.
“What the fuck!”
The lady held her head between hands and tucked her silhouette with the door whilst she felt something creeping into her body, was it a wave of horror? A fear of being left out? Will Sinclair forget about her?
“No, don’t panic Syna, somebody will come for you. At least, have faith in Sinclair.”
She patted her heart assuring herself, while the organ was beating at a pace with some unknown fear.
Syna spent around thirty minutes in the room, calming her throbbing nerves that the lady became able to find out some exit or at least a window to call for help, in between her wandering around the large racks that were stacked with thick files and books, left to be rotten by dust Syna’s urge to read popped up.
Whereas normally in such situation a person’s mind stops working, Syna’s was running and jumping from one thought to another.
“There is nothing I can do, except wait for anyone. Hopefully Sinclair will find me soon.”
The lady assuredly smile and looked heaven wards, the ventilation windows were quite high but the sunlight was piercing its way in, Syna had acknowledged this since her childhood that nothing can stop the light of hope from illuminating a heart.
Although the sky gets covered by the dark clouds but its always the ray of hope which pierces the darkness and conquers in the end, Syna knew that her knight in shiny armour would come soon after sensing her absence, after all Sinclair MacLaverty was head over heels in love with her.
Syna pulled out some books and started reading a few randomly selected files, soon she became bored and wanted to get out of the room but could not do so because no one had arrived yet to rescue her.
She walked upto the door and turned the knob around, hoping that the ladies who were scolded by Jade had had enough by now.
“It is still locked! How can someone be so shameless?”
She started to panic now and cried with all her might, yelling and banging on the door loudly.
“Help! Anyone is out there? I’m stuck. Help!”
But the corridor was empty, deadly silence was hovering and no one heard her pleading voice.
[ In the cabin of Sinclair ]
“Jade? Why are you here? And where is Syna?”
Sinclair bombarded his cousin with questions whilst the lady had just stepped into the room.
“Hold on, silly. I just came in and your ass got impatient!”
Jade pouted as she faked a glare, the first meeting had ended and now it was only Hades and Sinclair alone in the room.
“She is fine, and currently having a round of the building with my secretary, Chloe. By the way cousin, you were right in your intuition, when I arrived some ladies were already picking up on your lioness but she shut their mouths with her claws, haha.”
Jade narrated the whole story to both of the men.
“See, I told you she is fiercer than past life, moreover, having a brain too.”
Hades aka Brandon Brighton chirped proudly as he complimented Syna, recalling that how she had fixed the boys who were stirring up a trouble with her, in place. The Lord of hell had been watching Syna and Lolita aka Hestia closely since the ladies were young.
The only thing he didn’t know was that his bride Hestia would be a vampire princess, on the top of that the lady was a runaway princess whilst her sister Braille was banished from the kingdom, after she rejected the crown and preferred to chase Sinclair MacLaverty, the Ghost Lord.
“Okay, that is sorted out now. Err Jade, what do you suggest in this regard? Phobe had sent a letter from vampire kingdom, it’s written by the noble vampire Lord, Iñigo De Raizel. What you say, should I visit him or make an excuse?”
Sinclair placed forward his query, which was troubling him and that was why Hades arrived at the company.
“I don’t know what to say, cousin. But if you excused yourself from this, I am sure the noble will come for you personally so, I suggest you to visit him.”
Jade knew what could happen if Sinclair avoided him, moreover she knew the rules and regulations of vampire society because of her husband, Lombardi who was also a vampire.
“But Jade…he is gay!”
Sinclair burst out his worry, spilling the beans and definitely it made him uneasy whilst Hades was trying hard to suppress his laughter.
“What? You should know how awkward it would get,me and him sitting in one room, possibly alone!”
Sinclair gave some ‘what the hell’ expressions to Hades as he held his head within both hands, everything was spinning around him.
