La Serpiente, Foxy cursed bride in CEO Ghost’s lair - Chapter 165
Meanwhile, in the Spirit Realm Braille was thinking about her life closely.
Although she wanted to marry the Ghost Lord, and had always dreamt of a better lifestyle as the lady was having a hard time in the human realm.
With the aim of having a luxurious life and marrying her love, Sinclair MacLaverty, Braille ended up in seducing Jason to get the key and to pave a way for Phobe to arrive in and to invade.
The so called love, she claimed to have towards Sinclair seemed to be turned into a poison of greed, that made Braille so selfish. The thing she had never expected was… that she would eventually fall in love with Jason after finding out that he was her true mate and that the mate bond had forced them to stick to each other.
On the top of it, what never crossed her mind eventually happened as everyone says karma is definitely a bitch, when Jason MacLaverty came across the conclusion that it was none other than Braille who stole the key of Spirit Realm, the lord refused to listen to her or even to see her!
He turned her down on the second morning after they shared the same bed and the very next day he didn’t bother to see her, neither Jason arrived to the room after confronting Braille nor any news of him crossed her ears.
Only his maid servants attended the vampire princess with food and other necessities, Jason could have punished her but the only things which kept him sane were, that the culprit lady was a princess of vampire kingdom and the last one that he was still in love with her, but to neglect the fact that she tried to destroy the realm by opening the gates to the enemies Braille lost her respect in his heart.
She passed the days watching outside through the window high up which opened into a garden beautiful in true sense, in Jason’s room. She praised it’s beauty by singing sitting along the window with legs close to chest and arms folded around, eyes focused down onto the flowers, regretting about what she had done and wishing if she could turn the time wheel to correct her terrible mistakes.
Though she was a princess, a woman who had kicked the crown of vampire kingdom and left the throne. The same woman who tried to activate a spell on Sinclair’s bride, on the woman of the Lord, to whom she claimed to love.
Although, Jason had shared the matter with his brother, the Ghost Lord and acted upon his advice to declare Braille his bride. Things went by as Sinclair had planned and they developed a shield around the Spirit Realm to ensure the safety. Although, it wasn’t as strong and protective as the original one was but no enemy was aware of it, and that’s why Sinclair had to bound Braille Matteo Leste within the walls of his castle.
She wasn’t allowed to go out, to wander along the corridors nor any further, the vampire King and queen knew that their son-in-law was head over heels for Braille, but she didn’t like him, but they were delighted to hear that finally Braille was becoming the bride of Jason and they wanted to keep their son in law happy as their happy marriage would bring the realms closer, unbeknownst to them that it was proposed as the only solution to stop a coming war.
The door creaked and a maid servant entered bowed and made Braille aware of her presence.
“Your highness, the king and queen of Vampire kingdom are looking forward to you in the dining hall.”
“Oh, okay, I’m coming.”
With a strange sensation in her heart she dashed towards the mirror, looked analysed her condition and sighed. All she could see was her own true self, ugly and dark. That is how mostly the princesses are?
Following the maid servant towards the hall, passing through various corridors and stairs she reached the ground floor, turning to the right was the dining hall. Finely decorated with portraits of ancestors and ancient paintings which presented the historical yet rich background of Spirit Realm, saved from the wild fire previously caused my Phobe, a thousand years ago.
Walls painted in sky blue tainted with white at certain distances. A long table was in between the hall with a variety of food items, candles and flowers settled in vases at certain distances. Fine cutlery was presented in front of every chair with napkins on the side.
The full wall window was lightening up the room with sun rays, which were falling on the half of table cloth. The king was sitting on the master chair with the queen on the right and Lord Jason on the left. They were called to have breakfast with Jason, who was giving them utmost respect because Sinclair MacLaverty was out to visit the Vampire noble, Lord Iñigo De Raizel.
The way Jason MacLaverty was treating her parents, evoked a sense of guilt within Braille, she had done terrible things which were beyond imagination and now she wanted to apologise.
“Come here, honey.”
The queen called with a sweet tone to her daughter, gesturing to sit.
“Yes. Yes, come and join us.”
The king added.
But the Lord kept his gaze onto his plate and stood up, was about to leave when the queen mocked. Of course, she was worried about her daughter’s coming married life.
“Would you mind cast a look upon your bride, Lord Jason?”
Braille reached the chair beside the queen when Jason looked up, a sweet tingling feeling crawled in his body when he saw his sweetheart as his future bride, no wonder the mate bond was working its magic!
“How stupid I was! Why didn’t I stop myself that night!”
He murmured to himself, regretting that night, with a lot of questions that were rising in his mind he suppressed those thoughts as for that moment, and kept staring at Braille as he sat down again. Although, Sinclair tried to confront her but as the lady didn’t know anything about Phobe, she seemed to be guilty of charge all alone.
Jason didn’t know what to say so he kept quiet but the king misunderstood that he liked the princess. After all, she was a beauty whom no one could resist.
They all chatted for an hour when the king and queen headed to the garden and Braille left for her chamber when Jason ran after her and they stopped at doorsteps.
“Stop right there Braille!”
He shouted, but it wasn’t an angry scowl or something like that rather just a raise of tone to stop her.
She stopped and was about to turn when Jason grabbed her from shoulders and hugged. He squeezed her into himself, and with a confusing heart Braille hugged him back.
Maybe she succeeded in making her place in the Lord’s heart!?
She was happy but then her castle of expectations crashed and shattered into millions of pieces.
“Braille you…..you are my wife now! I just can’t swallow that you approached me deliberately and now we are bound together. Oh heavens, I don’t know what bad I did that I fell in love with you!”
Jason was speaking and Braille Matteo Leste was searching for something in his eyes, what was he saying?
Oh, God, what a terrible sin she had committed and how the nature was giving her back the taste of her own medicine!
If only she had known that not only she would be getting and losing a mate instantly, but she won’t be able to replace the actual bride of Ghost Lord!
She didn’t know what to do but at that moment her heart sank in despair. What she had done!?
Her memory flashed upon the potion Phobe gave her along with the task and forced her to gave that to Syna, it was for creating an illusion of old age, turning the drinker into a hag!
She looked back in Jason’s’ eyes where she had once clearly saw love for her, but it wasn’t there for the person into whom she had turned into.
All was a lie.
Deceit.
Nothing was true.
All was an illusion, she had cast upon Syna!
She smiled at him and went into her room, locked the door from inside, hid her face in the hands and helplessly cried.
Days were becoming normal, she was becoming normal to the routine in her cage. Jason was giving her time, taking her to the ground, chatting with her a few hours, a round along the castle, remembering the old days memory.
Jason shifted her to his room though living under the same roof they never shared intimacy, no matter how strong their bond was but he couldn’t forgive what she did to him and to his kingdom.
Braille kept on listening to him but she didn’t show any interest, she used to respond with short sentences and talk less, guilt was swallowing and eating her from inside.
She wanted to tell him that she wasn’t the person who did all that, she wanted to confess that it was certainly her impulsively attraction which blinded her eyes, did she deserve a second chance?
But now even if she did, the war will gradually begin again on the basis of deceit, revenge and everything will be ruined. She kept quiet, but it wasn’t a solution either, Braille was aware of it, but neither she knew the man who approached her nor she had known where to find him now.
Thus, she became quiet and then gone silent. All day outwardly alone…but her inner ocean was not calm.
She was feeling guilty and wanted to tell everything.
She wanted to confess her terrible sin.
She wished to have a chance to save Syna!
