La Serpiente, Foxy cursed bride in CEO Ghost’s lair - Chapter 189
I suspected that Sinclair might have spouted something wrong, the words seemed odd to me.
Isn’t the queen… should be the bride of the Ghost Lord?
Of course, but I was involved with Sinclair MacLaverty, the Ghost Lord’s younger brother.
Then…how come I was the queen?
“So, you are implying that, you are the Ghost king?”
I made an O-shaped mouth with excitement and in shock.
I silently prayed that whatever I was expecting would turn out to be true, what if Sinclair MacLaverty…I gasped at the mere thought.
A single thought which could turn my whole life, more likely ‘made’ my life.
“Yes, I’m not implying because I am the Ghost King and you are my bride Syna, my only Queen!”
Sinclair gave me a suspicious look, I could sense that he got puzzled and it was certainly the assumption that my reaction must have added a mysterious query to his occupied mind.
Sinclair gave me a shrug while his questioning eyes and crooked eyebrow was demanding an explanation for my ecstatic state. I jumped in my place, muttering gleefully like a child who just had gotten the greatest gift of her life.
“Be the joyous flora in thy own life so thee can be the sunshine in another’s wilderness; take courage to spear through their dark days; lift their blossoms past the scorching sun; past Jupiter and see the world through the eyes of the divine archangel; mighty be the sword of Michael; mightier than the sharpened fangs of defeat.”
My joy was on another level, I couldn’t believe that the man with whom I was living in the past months was actually my mate!
How stupid of me!
So, that’s why the Ghost Lord never came for me because he was already with me, right by my side.
It was unbelievable for me where I was feeling guilty of deceiving the Ghost Lord by hooking up with his younger brother, who could have known that actually he was the actual person since the beginning.
The revelation made many things clear, the reason why my actual partner never showed up, why the wrath of him didn’t fall on me and why I was allowed to live and love Sinclair MacLaverty.
Everything became crystal clear to me, that because my actual mate was by my side. I wanted to laugh upon myself, that how I wanted to escape from my destiny but eventually fell into the trap.
I didn’t want to marry the Ghost Lord but unknowingly I was living with him!
My hatred for that supernatural Lord was unsettled but unknowingly I was loving him adoring him unconditionally!
I couldn’t help but to laugh at how the nature and my destiny had played with me, indeed my situation seemed no different from Hestia.
We both had almost similar fates!
Perhaps written in the same ink!
But I ask you, would both the ladies fall under the same end?
And if it’s supposed to be like that, then what would be their end?
A happily married ever after couple?
Or something unimaginable and undefined thing?
“Yay! Yay, ya- ay!”
I swayed around, doing a booty shake to show my happiness as if I was riding a horse or perhaps dancing in a bar, as I attempted many steps.
“My wish, my wish came true.”
I shouted on the top of my lungs, averting my stare towards Sinclair.
He tried to get a hold of me by grabbing my shoulders, though his expressions were puzzled.
“Calm down, girl. What are you so excited for? Share with me too.”
“I- I, no actually it’s nothing.”
I shook my head when he had held me in the place and waved to him carelessly, as I spoke to him while suppressing my giggles but then another question popped up.
“Wait! If you are the Ghost King then who was the guy that claimed me that day in the orphanage, as his wife saying that he was from the MacLaverty group?”
Okay, I was going into the same direction from where the things had started.
Everything was making sense now, and of course each and every incident hinted that something bad was definitely going to happen soon, in near future.
I flipped the pages back towards the beginning of the whole story, and it seemed that the answer to our every question was…on the day when a supernatural stranger had popped up in my life, to claim me as his bride!
He frowned with an unsettling anger rising in his body, as Sinclair’s expressions darkened.
“What was his name? Tell me, Syna! WHAT WAS HIS NAME?”
He questioned while gritting his teeth and emphasising the words, the aura around him soon turned dangerous, and a blue flame began to hover around while surrounding his silhouette.
I ebbed immediately a few steps, with my wriggling legs and terrified heart. The sight was not a normal one to me, as I had never seen Sinclair MacLaverty becoming that much aggressive.
“J- Jason MacLaverty.”
He leaned forward towards me but I was frightened to the extent, that I pushed my body backwards haphazardly and fell down on my butt. Although, my eyes never left his face which was again creased with worry despite his expressions had softened.
Did I fear him? Yes.
But should I?
I ask you, why shouldn’t I?
After all he was the Ghost king, who was widely known for ruling over the spirits. Although, not many people in human realm were aware of supernatural beings but children books and bedtime mythical stories had depicted Sinclair MacLaverty as a ruthless lord.
Vampires were shown as blood sucker beings, whereas the hell was divided into two parts but both of the rulers had shared same reputation.
Hades, the Lord of hell and the Ghost King, the emperor of Spirit Realm…both were known for being cruel, merciless and hideous!
But was it a correct assumption?
Regarding the Ghost Lord, she could change her mind but Syna was still unknown about Hades!
