La Serpiente, Foxy cursed bride in CEO Ghost’s lair - Chapter 23
“You are completely aware of this brother, that I’m not used to handle these kind of things.”
Joseph tried to give off cute puppy expressions to save his butt.
“I tried my best to…..”
“ENOUGH!”
His blabbering was interrupted by Sinclair’s loud voice, who was burning in rage. A black smoke like aura started to surround his body as his differently coloured eyes flickered of red.
“B-but brother.”
Sinclair gave him a deadly glare which made Joseph shut his mouth instantly.
“You need to pay attention here rather wasting your time chasing Bellaire.”
Sinclair saw his brother pathetically who was hopelessly in love with her.
“Please brother, you can’t say anything bad about her. And one day I will win her heart.”
Joseph burst out as if Sinclair stepped onto his tail.
“Hope so, but I’m not positive.”
Sinclair heaved a sigh, it was unknown to Joseph that Bellaire had her eyes for Sinclair rather him.
“You are always so negative. I wonder how sister in law tolerates.”
Joseph pouted angrily, this time fully attacking on Sinclair’s weak spot. But the very thought softened his expressions and lowered his anger, the aura started to dissipate.
“She is my mate and a sensible being.”
He praised Syna with a proud smile, but the same moment made him worry about her. As the teleportation to Spirit realm cut off his connection to her feelings.
“I pity sister- in-law. Now if you had enough of scolding, we shall move, Sire!”
Joseph rolled his eyes and flung his arm out like a servant giving way to the king, emphasizing at the last.
Sinclair’s lips curled a little, no matter how much of lazy and naive Joseph was, he never failed to make him laugh even in saddest moments.
“Get up you all and move.”
Raising his voice to give them instructions, Sinclair wrapped his arm around Joseph’s neck and both walked towards the carrige.
As soon the duo stepped in, all the men on their knees having their weights landed only on toes, plopped onto the ground.
“See, you are a tyrannical king. Even your men obey you out of fear.”
Hearing the loud ‘thud’ by falling of men, Joseph mocked him with rather hopelessness.
“Oh! Should I then follow your lead, huh? People will step on me easily.”
Sinclair narrowed his eyes, scolding Joseph and made no attempt to imagine the condition of his men outside, as he already had an omniscience view.
The carriage driver rode the vehicle throughout the valley, headed towards the castle. The perfect blueness of the sky could be seen with a black smoke emerging, sure something big had happened in the absence of the Ghost King.
“Have you listed out the names of runaway prisoners?”
Sitting with right leg resting over the edge of left one, Sinclair had his mind occupied with many possibilities.
“Yes brother, I have noted down their names who dared to put me in this situation.”
Joseph clenched his fists as if he was ready to catch them, after giving a chance to sneak away.
“Mhm, good.”
Tucking his palm under the right cheek Sinclair murmured, assembling a few things in mind beforehand starting the investigation.
“You have to take care of yourself mate, be safe for me.”
Though he had his men protecting Syna, without any intrusion in her life. Either he was being selfish or was he really concerned about her?
Though entitled as ‘Ghost King’ and despite being first born to the earlier king, Sinclair was still a mortal.
Sinclair knew that he had to marry Syna on any cost to save his own life, as she was the sole key towards achieving full powers and immortality.
The carriage drove through the dungeons that were suppose to come in between the way to castle, sinful souls were captured and kept into darkness and were given a last chance to repent.
If anyone repented and cleared the deadly poisons out of “it’s” heart then they were granted the permission to enter the reincarnation cycle. The hard-headed ones were sent to Hades, directly to Hell.
The good souls were directly lead to the reincarnation cycle, to be reborn after a few decades or so.
The reek started to fill the nostrils as the carriage passed through the long way, foul stench of sulfur could be sensed along with the traces of burned odor. The ground had cracks and lava filled in them.
The existence of soul’s burning gave out a bloody puking stench, even when the souls were supposed to be odorless as did not had bodies. Spirit realm was connected to Hell and sure Sinclair had the precious gift of ‘Hell fire’.
The screams resonated in the whole area and the voices were loud enough to cause deafness, the archangels allotted to the mighty ‘Ghost king’ had the tolerance to all the punishment picture.
