La Serpiente, Foxy cursed bride in CEO Ghost’s lair - Chapter 4
A blonde half naked man, handsome I would say, an eye feast with perfectly defined abs, chiseled face. He had a dangerous stare which was bore onto my face.
I felt that moment stopped or everything got frozen. Or perhaps he had the tendency to stop everything within the snap of his fingers. It felt something magnetic that withheld me from thinking anything else except him.
“Who are you?”
Odd, I was questioned in my own home. His voice rung into that quite room, velvet edged.
“I – I’m Syna. How?”
I could not form the words while drooling at the man. But needed to maintain my composure so raised my voice, scolding him.
“I mean what are you doing here. How you got in?”
I was more curious rather shocked upon the sudden appearance of a man.
“Ugh! It looks like I have been…..”
He got irriated and gently smack his forehead.
He ogle at my room and then stared at me with disgust.
“You do not need to know, human. You have already seen much including eye feasting on me, when I’m in just a towel!”
My breath hitched I did not know what he was blabbering about. But my heart raced fast, stupid glands were working more efficiently. His emerald eyes made my body melt as he leaned closer to face, embracing me into his arms, when a devilish smirk graced his face.
“It is a mistake which I certainly do not know how it occurred. You need to forget everything now. Good bye, Miss.”
I was staring blank into his eyes, having no control over my body. When he placed a finger on my forehead and muttered something.
After that I blackout and everything disappeared.
[RING RING]
A tone banged into my ears which interrupted my sleep. I rubbed and yawned as I stretched my hand to grab the phone for attending the call.
“Hello?”
“Hello! Syna, it is grandpa. I knew you would be still asleep. So I called you myself to remind you of the interview.”
I snapped opened my eyes upon his words and sat instantly.
“Oh! Owuh! grandpa I’m so sorry. Thank you. I’ll call you later, gotta go.”
I crept out of the satin sheets and realized myself fully dressed.
“Oh! looks like I dozzed off in between.”
I was thankful to Mr Lorenzo Perez, for calling me. He was the owner of the orphanage I grew in and he was a father like figure for me. I love him dearly and he see me as his only daughter.
My hair were dried and the only things left were combing and wearing heels. I moved the brush through my hair when realized my empty finger.
“Ow! my ring.”
I used to consider it a bad luck so a panic attack hit me hard and I ran towards the washroom.
“Here it is thank God. What would I do in the interview otherwise.”
I slipped it into my finger as it shone brighter than before, wore my shoes, tied hair and I was ready for my quest.
I took my handbag and once again I checked the notable things.
~Notepad
~Recording pen
~pepper spray
~A hidden cellphone
~Microchip
After all I’m a journalist but currently more of a spy and I needed those things. I zipped up my bag and hung onto my shoulder.
“Ready Mr CEO? Syna Rhys is coming!”
I took inhaled deeply, breathing calm, before leaving my room.
Little did she know what was awaiting for her. She was not supposed to be there for finding a big news, instead destiny planned for her to tame that lion.
Who was waiting for her impatiently with a heart full of tides, desires and emotions. Perhaps the snake bit him too and he was dying with that heated passion!
The busy bustling city was wide awake with it’s soaring high buildings touching the sky.
Syna left her apartment, passed one block and then crossed the road towards bus stand. She was about to cross when a luxurious Limo halted in front of her with a screech.
The glass window went down and a queer young man in twenties uttered, offering her a lift out of blue.
“My dear, what are you doing here alone in such a blazing heat?”
The question was bizarre, of course she was waiting for bus at the stand. What else someone would do in scorching heat, outing ?
“I’m fine sir, just waiting for a cab.”
She forced a friendly smile not to be rude as heat was boiling her blood and frying her mind!
“Oh, I guess you’re going for an interview but where to? I can drop you there fast before you melt.”
And he chuckled with a smirk knowing that she won’t refuse. As Syna was oogling her watch while holding the blue file & wearing the bag.
“To Mac Laverty group, if you’re at ease.”
She responded as ascended the car, plopping into the seat. The man eye scanned her eerily making her gulp for once.
“Nice bag, miss.”
Syna clutched the bag tight as her skin tingled with goosebumps. Perhaps the man was suspicious of her. Still she replied with the air of self-confidence.
“Thank you, sir.”
He roared the limousine as Syna sighed to make herself comfortable so she decided to do a little chit-chat.
“So where are you headed to?”
“The same destination, Miss. To capture and to conquer!”
His voice filtered through the air like a hiss of snake who was ready to kill somebody. Syna could not comprehend the meaning behind his words.
Syna gulped twice thinking that she did a terrible mistake to board this limo. The car stopped at the signal close to their destination, Syna let out a loud sigh feeling relieved to reach alive.
