La Serpiente, Foxy cursed bride in CEO Ghost’s lair - Chapter 5
Just then the man sprinted towards her just a few inches away from touching her face. She clutched the bag as felt her heart stopping for a moment.
The man’s gaze was rooted onto her face, he made an eye contact, smirking.
“Oh my, you have those grey shinny flecks.”
He smiled meaningfully and just then the signal shone green and he drove again, seated while humming.
The limo halted in the parking lot and Syna immediately rushed to get off, without thanking she ran for her life.
“We’ll meet soon, Miss bride!”
The man’s stare was bored onto her silhouette as he saw her running.
~~~~~~~~~~~
I was roaming around my cabin staring at the grey walls, waiting impatiently for her arrival. I knew she would be coming today as I just saw her CV a couple of days ago.
And guess what I felt something like a spark in my body, as something burning and unsettling was circulating in my blood. I stared at her passport sized picture peering to imprint her face in my mind.
I was amazed how she conquered my heart unknowingly at first sight. How she made my stupid heart flutter for her once for all. I, Sinclair Mac Laverty who stood by coquetry among women, never took any to his heart but got whipped by this lady!
It was still a mystery for me that how could a lady make me feel that way despite of my appropriate self control. How she was able to create that magnetic tension between us, just how that damn woman made me die of these emotions?
I was residing in human realm since hundred of thousands years that I can’t even count, now out of all those human females just this chick was able to evoke feelings within me.
I was in my reverie early this morning when suddenly I was teleported to her house in an awkward condition while bathing.
What the hell, how could the Supreme Deity do that to me?
So what if I’m not a human, I still have dignity after all I’m a king. But to admit she looked beautiful that the temptress made my earlier bath a failed effort.
My face grimaced with disgusting expressions, I was preparing for my first impression as her boss but to my dismay I had to repeat all my chores. The best thing I did was to erase her those specific memories.
I knew she was mine. I desired her, waited for so long. And that ring was the proof, she was born for me. She was destined to be
MY BRIDE! But why I was showing reluctance in accepting these strange emotions?
A voice cranked with the sound of opening of the door and I swiveled immediately with a racing heart.
And there she was, my beloved, my mate!
My breath hitched as I scanned her from head to toe to savour the moment. Her nervous stare was bore onto my face, her sea blue eyes had a glint of silver shinny flecks,yes she was mine. I marked her that way this morning.
I acknowledged she would be hella nervous and I did not want to add any more to her terrific sketch of mine. I smiled heartily instead of my usual austere look.
“Take a seat, Miss Syna Rhys.”
And she plopped into the chair taking steps smooth as a silk. I was glad that she did not fear me or perhaps as for now.
“Thank you, sir.”
I took my seat when my ears pricked with a sweet voice. Oh damn! her voice was much more sweet like honey comparable to the scolding of few hours ago.
“So, Miss Syna, I have studied your CV and definitely you stand upto my expectations. I would love to have such a competent lady as my secretary.”
I wanted to be more professional, as not to manifest my original intentions. I wanted to win her either by hook or by crook. She was already mine but still she was a human and females wanted to be loved.
I made up my mind to turn the whole world upside down just to win her affection, if that was required.
“Thank you, sir. It is an honour for me to work for you and for this resplendent conglomerate.”
A smile graced her beautiful face as she settled the black hair flip behind her ear. Indeed she was gorgeous in gestures and tempting in her curves.
“See you around, soon.”
I shook my hand with hers and felt her delicate soft skin against mine. She was drugging my senses now, enthralling me in every possible way.
“Sure, sir. I will start from tomorrow sharp at eight accordingly.”
She took her leave and turned around towards the door, stammering she reached the handle with shaky hands.
I sensed something was not right and when she was about to fall, luckily I caught her right away, scooping in my arms.
“Are you okay, Miss Syna?”
Her lips quivered to utter something. If it was any other woman in her place I would judge that she was seducing.
But as for Syna I knew she was not like those gold diggers and that’s what made me to love her, to accept my affection.
“Yy-yes sir,a little bit dizzy.”
I carried her upto the sofa in bridal style and fetched water immediately. Like hell in what way those emotions were effecting me. The young mysteries, ruthless multimillionaire was caring for a woman. Is that what they call love?
She took a few sips and I stretched my hand to check her forehead.Her body temperature was normal and I guessed right away that she needed only rest.
Because of this interview she did not sleep last night. Those puffy eyes were the solid proof to her anxiety.
“Are you fine now? I will tell my driver to escort you.”
She rubbed her temples and stood up to leave.
“Thank you, sir. But there is no need for that, I’m very thankful.”
And she strode out completely rejecting my offer. Leaving me there worrisome in the middle of my cabin.
I did not know how the feelings of love are but I must say those strange emotions were now in my blood as palpitations like poison, drugging my senses.
I felt I was not hit by Cupid’s arrow but bitten by a snake. Because that was a venom and it spread so rapidly, a poison of love which was addictive and definitely it could not be by Cupid’s arrow as it’s effects are known to be sweet but this was something else!
