Lady Boss Please Spoil Your Husband - Chapter 322
“So cool!” Yang Nina beamed after Han Taiyi finished her story.
“Hailing from a distinguished and reputable family, it’s not uncommon for someone like Lillie Bai to know martial arts for self-defense.” Death indifferently said.
“Yeah, but young misses from rich families most often hire bodyguards.” Han Taiyi defended. “And that hot blondie Lillie Bai was with wasn’t her bodyguard, I could tell.”
“He gives an impression of a secretary rather.” Chu Lizheng thoughtfully expressed his opinion.
“Her secretary! Now that I think of it, you’re right, he does appear to fit the part.” Han Taiyi enthusiastically nodded in agreement before squealing. “Waah! If Lillie Bai wasn’t engaged with Ethan Li, I would totally ship them!”
“I know exactly what Sis Taiyi feels!” Yang Nina fangirled, joining Han Taiyi with her fantasy. “The forbidden love between boss and employee! The Ice Goddess CEO and Her Hot Secretary, kyaa! I’ll definitely write that one!”
“Oh, oh, let me help! I’ll be your editor, hehe.”
Death was enjoying this so much that his stomach hurts! He could already feel the heat extruding out from the man next to him.
And *sniff sniff*, was that vinegar he smell?
He badly wanted to put lemon juice in his wounded ego, but these girls were doing a great job that he only needed to sit back and enjoy the show.
Lillie smiled meekly, patting Ethan’s thigh under the table in a coaxing manner. This walking jar of vinegar should not be provoked, or else she’ll be at the receiving end of his ‘tantrum’.
Girls please, if I didn’t know any better, I would assume that you’re doing this to torment me.
Inside the walking jar of vinegar’s mind, he’s already planning to burn and demolish the unborn book and whichever publisher company dares to publish it.
Atrocious! Simply atrocious! You dare create a book that was inspired by his wife and her loyal puppy of a secretary?!
See if he’ll allow such garbage to exist!
“Woah!” Han Taiyi jolted on her seat and squinted her eyes at everyone. “What frightening bloodl.u.s.t! Who does it belong to?”
No one raised their hands.
“Ah Huo? What’s wrong with you?” Locating where the bloodl.u.s.t was coming from, everyone besides Lillie and Death looked at the silently seething man in confusion.
“Aiyo, don’t mind him. He just hates that kind of romance book because he fought his love for my Junior Sister right here with her ‘very’ close colleague.” Death waved his hand nonchalantly. But in his mind, he’s cackling madly that he can practically hear himself wheezing.
Ethan exchanged looks with his wife, his eyes encrypting, “Please let me maim him just this once.”
She replied with a languid sigh that can be translated into, “I would if only he wasn’t my Senior Brother.”
“Aww, so Ah Huo was having PTSD from our future novel idea? That was insensitive of us, we’re sorry.”
“Sorry, Brother Jihuo.”
You don’t look apologetic!
“So, Ah Ming, what does it feel like to be fought by two men?”
“Taiyi,” Chu Lizheng sighed, shaking his head.
“Don’t believe whatever Senior Brother said, he was only being dramatic.” Lillie dismissively intoned. “That colleague of mine and I were simply friends, and Jihuo had been the only man in my heart.”
A resounding “aww” broke out from the two girls.
“Eurgh.” Death gagged, displaying his disgust. “Isn’t that good for you, man? My sweet Junior Sister proclaiming her—bleh—undying—blurgh—love for—pweh—you.”
Ethan’s glared daggers at the insufferable white-haired menace and shrugged off the arm coiled around his neck as if it was covered in germs—it was covered with crumbs and chocolate from the cookies he ate, so it’s dirty still.
Finishing all of their snacks and tea, the group decided stretch their legs. They explored the vicinity of the compound before going out to give the youngest in their group a tour around the Academy.
It’s the least seniors like them could do for their junior—their favorite junior.
The group stopped by one of the training fields where they could see students in blue uniforms all arranged in five lines, and each line contains 10 students.
In front of them was their class’ Drillmaster, and behind their Drillmaster was their honored instructor for today; a Grand Disciple.
“A pleasant afternoon, dear students. For today’s training, we are graced with the presence of Grandmaster Yang’s first disciple, Grand Disciple Gong Hei.” The Drillmaster side-stepped to give the floor to their honored instructor.
Stepping forward was a lanky man with a charming features of a k-pop idol. His expression looked c.o.c.ky but not provocative, and his stance evinced reservedness and confidence.
He has a velvet black, shoulder length hair gathered into a simple low ponytail that was left hanging over his shoulder, and a pair eyes of the darkest night sky with inexplicable emotions hidden in the depths.
The man now named Gong Hei drifted his eyes at Sky students.
He smiled and said in the most demure tone, “I hope you prepared for this day because I will not be showing mercy.”
